Nope, no matter how big the exchanges is, you can not guarantee their safety. Cryptopia, has a huge volume everyday and suddenly goes into maintenance mode, then declare bankruptcy . Keep it in your own wallet.

If you are a risk taker, you can still invest in ICO, after the huge crash that happened in 2018 the market started to pick up . I've seen a great project again this year, and ICO is less and they are not in a hurry to launch their project funding.

I never converted my crypto to tether, but the ideas but the idea behind tether it's the digital equivalent of a dollar bill. Instead of selling your crypto to usd your selling it to Tether.
