Yes friend, and in crypto anything can happen. I think that Tron will one day touch $1 but may be slow journey till it get there. According to news from Tron community, Two upgrades are being scheduled for the TRON mainnet before the end of the year- the first on 15th of November and the other towards the end of December. TRON launched its TRON Virtual Machine (TVM) which will now allow developers to create dApps on TRON platform. I believe with these developments, Tron may pump early 2019.

TRX will definitely hit $1 with gradual step as other coin grow too and for TRX to hit $1 doesn't say it will be on top of coinmarketcap cos it's circulate supply is 65bln + which will be $65bln and never meet up with btc and don't forget that other coins will not remain sagnant so every other coins will grow too and more we are going to see new bull run in some years time.
