I think one of the major issues with bitcoin which prompted the development of bitcoin gold, however, was not related to the question of central issuance at all. Rather, it had to do with the mining process. Bitcoin gold developers believed that by adopting a new algorithm for the mining process (in this case, a so-called proof-of-work algorithm called Equihash), the new branch of the world's most popular cryptocurrency by market cap would not disproportionally favor major mining operations.

The price should hit the floor pretty soon, in a matter of months. I suspect the price then to gather around other popular alt-coins.Then, and only then, after many months of stagnation, and only if there are no critical vulnerability or manipulation around the currency, the trust will start to build, and so adoption, and so the price will rise again.

i think it is the little people with a small amount of BTC that are being hurt by these fees & slow confs. If you have a large amount of BTC you can whack a large fee on it and get it through.
