Will Dogecoin have a future?

Dogecoin has been my favorite alt coin for quite a long time. It serves as a good cryptocurrency for tipping others, as well as being a fun and inexpensive medium of exchange.

However, I'm worried what might happen to Dogecoin in the future, since it has been quite some time that no new version of the QT wallet has been mentioned, neither some innovation to keep it going for the long term.

It would become ideal for Dogecoin to add SegWit to its code, and gain traction if it gains acceptance from the miners. Then, if it manages to become the first cryptocurrency to accept the scalable solution, it could rise in popularity once more (not to mention that transaction will be near instantaneous).

Nevertheless, Dogecoin is a great cryptocurrency being inexpensive and relatively stable, making it a great way to tip others or send micropayments faster than BTC at a fraction of the cost.

I think that Dogicoin will be on the list of best coins at one time. That's because its value is very low, so I think it will exceed 10 dollars at a time. So now this is a very good opportunity to hold these coins.

As a tipping coin, Dogecoin is one of the best, if not the best. It is fast and cheap as compared to a lot of other coins, especially those more popular ones. However, I share your little worry that if ever Dogecoin will remain like this forever, seemingly stuck in its status and technology, it would definitely be left behind. The growth of more developed technologies in the crypto world are rather fast.

Dogecoin certainly has an interesting future. The dogecoin community, particularly on reddit is very powerful and large, and I think the strength of this community will help hold dogecoin together well into the future.

I can answer your question based on history. We know that Doge coin created to handle Bitcoin fee. And Doge coin created not long when Bitcoin lunched to public like another altcoin (eth, ripple, ltc, etc, etc.). I'm sure doge coin has great future.

Looks that way, I mean I was half expecting the coin to have died out by now but it does seem that the creators are determined to make sure that their coin ends up doing well. Just recently it looks like there was a pump in the price of the coin and it went up. Things like this goes to show that the coin has a lot of potential to do well so I would say it has a future

"Dogecoin" is a joke and a fairly useless currency as it doesn't add any innovative features. However, the community that has formed around it has convinced me that it is one of the most important crypto-currencies that exist right now. A lot of people might not have been interested in Bitcoin if it wasn't for Dogecoin.
