Title: Football Transfers Speculation Discussion
Post by: hushpupppy on December 26, 2020, 09:43:19 AM
We are 5 days away from the January transfer window and the speculations, rumours are all lit and more to expect i believe. I have a few list too.

1. Jordan Sancho
Jordan Sancho has been at the top of speculation and rumors after his collapsed move to Manchester United as well as his poor form to the start of the season; Will Dortmund let go this January or hold on to him till after the EUROS ?

(https://i.postimg.cc/hG4dTJbW/960x0.jpg) (https://postimages.org/)

2. Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba has always been in the news every transfer window; his declared love for Real Madrid causes controversy everywhere in greater Manchester; While Juventus also crave for a comeback for their golden boy.

What transfer speculation have you heard about ?

I think that Pogba for Real Madrid is very difficult for him to leave, knowing that he likes to look for fashionable players, of the moment with the air of a rising star, it sounds more to me for Juve.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's future at AC Milan is still in gray...
as I read in the news that it is very difficult to keep Ibra at home in ac Milan, hopefully, this rumor will soon pass and Ibra signs an extension of his contract in ac Milan.

Truth is Zlatan is in control of the situation at Milan and i am sure Milan do not have to panic; Zlatan will be there atleast until the end of this present season; if he wins a major trophy with MILAN then it would be a good time to part ways with Milan. Time will tell if AC Milan can hodl on to him.

I think Pogba will go to Juventus because he ever played there and have a nice history. Man United seems not really need him in the squad. So, the best option is to sell Pogba in the next transfer window. About the price, I think Juventus can bargain the price.

I doubt that will happen this January transfer window but maybe he'll leave after the 2020-2021 season. He's doing quite well and has been instrumental in Man U's recent run that catapulted them as co-leader with a game in hand. It will be good for him to keep this form because that will be beneficial for him as well. It could increase his market value.

it looks like the transfer market earlier this year will be crowded...

Quote
Manchester United are joining the hunt for Toulouse's young star Kouadio Kone, claims FootMercato. The 19-year-old midfielder, who has performed quite well, is said to have attracted interest from AC Milan and Borussia Monchengladbach.

btw, MU needs a fresh midfielder to improve the ole mix, the fans will be happy if this can be realized.

Yeah, Bruno Fernandes needs some back up and rest before he gets seriously injured. He's been carrying Man U in the last couple of games with eleven goals plus seven assists in sixteen appearances so far (https://www.transfermarkt.com/bruno-fernandes/profil/spieler/240306)

Kouadio Kone looks like an all around midfielder with central midfield as the main position. He could bring a lot of energy to the field. AC Milan is a tough competitor for Man U though. They can splash some serious cash and they're also doing well in Serie A.

This is a promising signing for Manchester United as they sign their second Right winger for the first time in 8 years, Pellestri was the first Right winger signing made by manchester united and he is playing at the reserves at the moment. Good good signing for Manchester United and i am sure the future is bright.

It was a big statement by Chelsea owner Abrahamovic, who has parted ways with the club legend after series of poor performances and poor results that has seen them lose 5 games in 10 matches.  Tuchel will be having his former captain in Silva; and his German favorites Haverts and Werner. Should be an interesting tie

Lampard was already lucky to have been entrusted of a club as big as Chelsea despite his inexperience in management. Having handled the club for 18 months (longer than more experienced previous managers) tells us that Abrahamovic has given him a lot of chance because of his status as a player.

Breath of fresh air at CFC.

There are only a few days left before the window closes. Are there any other big moves you see that will tilt the title race in the Premier League?

I don't know what the new signing can contribute to the team but Arsenal will need an added support as the European competition will resume soon.

About their run in the premier league, they've done well against smaller teams which they are suppose to defeat in the first place. They will be tested soon when they face Man United.

I have to agree with you; irrespective of what Martin Odegaard offers to Arsenal; he is definitely a good addition to their squad depth and will offer something different. The tie vs Manchester United will be a different type tbh with both teams having a point to make since they last met in November

It is a rumour that is always spreading.
Barcelona right now has a big problem with their management and also financiual.
It is probably very hard to get such kind of Halland to come to their club.
Currently, it is also rumoured that Mbappe will come to Barcelona, but this is only a rumour, in fact, Mbappe maybe coming to Real Madrid next year.

Barcelona is also rumored to have Xavi as their coach, but once more they still don't do it. Many expect Barcelona to turn back their glorious, but it seems very hard to do right now moreover with this kind of club condition.

Yes there are so many rumours. But exactly, Xavi may be one if the ways to bring up Barcelona to Europe leage again. Although ut will not be easy and he must have so many homeworks to the club, But with his experience  he may be able to do it.
And there are also some transfer target to do to that club. They are Raheem Sterling from Man City and Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger

The transfer window is open, and most teams are looking at player who will improve the quality in their teams, and one team that is so eager to add to their team is Arsenal, they are in need of a high profile attacker, someone who knows how to finish and get some reasonable number of goals every season.Someone who loves to score goals just as Haaland and Kane does for their different clubs respectively. Some rumours are saying they are after Ivan Toney of Brendfort, and are looking forward to tabling an official bid for the striker, but I don't think Arsenal will not be able to pay the kind of money Brendfort wants, and that will make them back off.

Yep. January transfer window is open. But I think there will no big transfer because it is in the middle of the competition. The teams who want to improve their squad, probably will get few players who aren't the main players in their current teams.

one team that is so eager to add to their team is Arsenal, they are in need of a high profile attacker, someone who knows how to finish and get some reasonable number of goals every season.
Arsenal has Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah, I think they are good strikers. I think Arsenal is better to optimize the ability of these strikers than trying to sign new strikers. Signing new strikers doesn't guarantee to fix the problem, the new players need time to adapt with the new club. Sometimes they need more than 1year to be able to play in the best level again.

Some rumours are saying they are after Ivan Toney of Brendfort, and are looking forward to tabling an official bid for the striker, but I don't think Arsenal will not be able to pay the kind of money Brendfort wants, and that will make them back off.
Why Arsenal must sign Ivan Toney? Is this stiker better than Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah? Unless Arsenal can sign Osimhen or Mbappe, I think they are better to focus on improving their existing strikers.

I am actually surprised. Barcelona have money?
I did not think so.
A Club that is struggling to even register players somehow going form of players, it does not make sense.

Anyway if they can afford and if Manchester United is actually willing to take bids, I guess Barcelona could go for him. Send for some reason I also believe that if he goes to Barcelona from Manchester United he will start performing at least a little better. But Barcelona should be very careful because they are still in a lot of debt. So they should not spend money like crazy. Barcelona should still look to get players on loan. That is going to be a great value for money for them

They are not signing any player without releasing someone. There's a recent report that there's an offer for Raphinha that exceeds the €80m initial valuation for the player. The amount is coming from a Saudi team and that should be more than enough to cover the estimated price for Mason which is around €50m.

Barcelona still seems to want to keep their players, but at the same time they also have to make money if they want new players to join their squad. The problems faced by Barcelona so far have made it difficult for them to move.

In fact, they could sell a high-value player like Frenkie de Jong, but they will also be doubtful about whether or not they will get a player who has the same abilities later, because if not they will be at risk of going down even further.

It's understandable that they want to keep players that brings value to them in terms of performance but they are not in a position to buy players with potential and let go of players with lesser quality. They will be forced to sell some of their good pieces as well to balance or improve the club's financial position
