Title: Kyrgyzstan Parliament member wants national crypto
Post by: Freemind on March 30, 2022, 05:20:15 PM
Karim Khanjeza, a member of the parliament of Kyrgyzstan has made statements in the national committee calling for the creation of national cryptocurrencies. It has also called for the creation of a crypto hub for blockchain and cryptocurrencies in the region. While many countries are committed to having their own CBDC, others like Kyrgyzstan want to have their own cryptocurrency, and I find it very curious taking into account that if I remember correctly, Kyrgyzstan is the first country that presents a proposal to have its own cryptocurrency.

I am interested in your opinion. Do you think there will be more countries presenting proposals to have their own cryptocurrencies?.

You have more information about the proposal here: https://cointelegraph.com/news/nothing-is-growing-as-fast-as-cryptocurrency-kyrgyz-mp-wants-national-crypto

As crypto gradually get bigger and bigger, mainstream adoption would follow the same route. But the question is, are we ready to follow eo

A national cryptocurrency is a lot better of an idea compared to CBDCs which is very centralized and under the control of the state and its bureaucrats ( just like the fiat money, anyway). I am assuming that even if its under the name of the country there can be some semblance of decentralization on it...so maybe just like the group of developers they are all their to manage its every day affairs. Let's see if this idea can be starting to have some traction and can be attracting some good number of supporters.

Cryptocurrencies are developing very quickly and all countries have already realized that cryptocurrencies have an incredible demand, and therefore many countries are thinking about creating their own cryptocurrencies and whoever will create their national cryptocurrencies faster, I think those will have more opportunities in the cryptocurrency field, so it will be interesting to see where Kyrgyzstan will can go with their national cryptocurrency.

Karim Khanjeza from Kyrgyzstan must also understand what Decentralized is, where all prices can be set by all traders, then security and transaction costs are the obstacles.
If a Karim Khanjeza from Kyrgyzstan wants a cryptocurrency that can be accepted by the wider community, then seriously, he must also have a super good advantage in various ways.
Karim Khanjeza from Kyrgyzstan is indeed very good at opening his eyes so that cryptocurrencies in this world are accepted in Kyrgyzstan and I will also continue to support him with my strength in this forum.

A cryptocurrency of their own may be better than a CBDC, but what intrigues me the most is how they could implement something like that without having much trouble afterwards. I would like to know how they are going to "control" the value without third parties interfering creating an economic disaster in the country, because although they have called it cryptocurrency, it cannot be like the cryptos we know since I have serious doubts that they can legally do so.

This is the opinion of only one politician in the state. In addition, we do not know what kind of cryptocurrency it will be, on what principles it will work, that is, practically nothing but a general idea. This information will deserve attention if it finds its practical continuation. For now, it's absolutely nothing.
Karim Khanjeza even simply could not express his thought correctly, because it is strange to hear about the state cryptocurrency. In any case, I do not think that in other states we will hear something similar.

It seems to me that the national digital currency, which the deputy of Kyrgyzstan is talking about, is the CBDC, which most states plan to issue. There is simply no other option for states. The state digital currency cannot be decentralized. It's simply incomparable. Governments cannot create a currency that they cannot control. Here the deputy expressed his idea very vaguely and, most likely, he was misunderstood on this forum. In any case, I would like to hear about such a currency in more detail.

Most likely, the national cryptocurrency, which the member of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan is talking about, is actually a digitized national currency, which is commonly called CBDC. He did not explain what he means by talking about the national cryptocurrency, but there is no other solution yet. Now most states are developing their digitized national currencies, and where this issue is being dragged out, there are officials who call for starting this process in order to keep up with other countries.

Crypto development is very fast, whoever is fast, he will benefit first.  It could be that these parliamentarian see this as having good potential in the future, so they propose the creation of a national Crypto currency in the country.

Crypto technology is indeed developing very fast, and Crypto currency also has many advantages compared to conventional currencies. Actually I want more countries that can legalize it and also create their own Crypto currency. So that it will make it easier for someone to make transactions online.

It is also possible that Karim Khanjeza knows very well what he is talking about and is referring to a cryptocurrency, as we know them, and not a CBDC. Although some countries are already working on their own CBDCs, only the Chinese government is testing with a few million citizens, but even so, it will be several years before the digital Yuan is fully operational. El Salvador is an example, the country does not have CBDC and I think the government does not plan to have it, but Bitcoin can be used without any problem.

we do know that no one can avoid technological developments and they must be willing to accept it as progress that must be accepted as a renewable development. Likewise with crypto, is the technology of the future and naturally every country will continue to adopt it.

but if indeed every country will make its own crypto money won't this be confused with fiat money that they have been using for a long time? if don't make additional work of course there is no problem.

Many countries are working on their own CBDCs, not cryptocurrencies. The differences are great between both concepts. CBDCs will be used with digital wallets, but they will be different from what we use for cryptocurrencies, they will be closed source, there will be no block explorers, the databases will not be public... Karim Khanjeza's statements suggest that they are talking about an official cryptocurrency, but there are no further details, so we cannot know if he is referring to that or if it is just speculation.

If it's gonna happen then it will prove to be a huge step in the crypto market for any country. We should appreciate it as crypto enthusiasts. Let's see if they successfully launch their own country cryptocurrency rather than their own CBDC. I think other countries should also see the huge opportunities in the blockchain and cryptocurrencies rather than banning them as youngsters are more interested in the cryptos so government should also take care of this rather than imposing huge taxes or ban.

No matter what, slowly the benefits of cryptos are being understood and countries are adopting this trend. And if the concept of Web3.0, blockchains, etc are not given priority it would be really disastrous. The future is crypto..
