Gambling discussion / Re: Do you tell your husband you gamble?
« on: May 06, 2024, 07:32:13 PM »
If you are gambling with you husband's money and have won  a big jackpot then it is most likely that your husband would be happy if you tell him about it. If your family is not financially very well off and you are gambling with your husband's hard earned money and making a big loss then it may ruin your marital life.
Well yeah that is why it is important to have communication with your partner so things are going easy and good as long as you two agree on specific thing like gambling. We all know that gambling seems to be part of humans life but yeah it all still depends upon the situation no matter what.

Gambling discussion / Re: How did the gambling life Start?

I am personally a fan of lottery as well as it is one of the most common gambling here in my country aside from cockfighting and card games. Well still majority of my bets were just donations better term for "loss" 😅 my winnings does not guarantee any gains from my previous losses to be honest but right now I refrain on placing bets because something controversial had happened to our lottery here in my country so yeah no gambling for now.

If you are referring to trading contest and stuff you can head to popular exchanges since they always have that event with huge prize pool so maybe you should try it out. I wish I can be a profitable trader one day as well as ever since I tried trading I lose every single trade I have that is why I am still in the stage of learning right now.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Do you still believe in old coins?
« on: May 06, 2024, 07:13:48 PM »
The oldest coin I've been holding is Bitcoin alone and newer ones are memecoins. I am still hopeful to reach my target to get a whole Bitcoin though I don't have timeframe to really have it but as soon as I have it I'll post it here. It's not that easy to have that challenge knowing that I don't have enough money or weekly Bitcoin income to fill it in but yeah it is the only oldest coin I have for now.

I was surprised with Guyana's percentage growth and of course it's huge deposit of oil reserves. Lucky for them they are rich in natural resources that might push it's economy up. I just don't know when will be fossil fuels become obsolete because of renewable energy.

Economics , Sociology & Politics / Re: Cost of living
« on: May 06, 2024, 06:51:13 PM »
Over the past few years inflation has been increasing all over world and with the start of Ukraine war it has even deteriorated. The food prices have been shooting up and it has increased the cost of living and made life especially of the middle class and poor people miserable. In many countries corrupt politicians and elite business community have been using this situation for their own benefits.
I think that is the new normal nowadays. 😅 This is why we need to achieve financial freedom through crypto so that we are not affected by inflation and other manipulation in the society. War for me is another form of manipulation because we all know it is one of the most successful business people aren't aware of.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Future of Bitcoin
« on: May 06, 2024, 06:45:16 PM »
I agree with your opinion, if you want to buy bitcoin for the future, then you should buy it when the price is still low. but currently the price of bitcoin is high. Maybe at the end of next year we will experience a bearish season, at that time you can buy bitcoin at its lowest point and hold for the long term. because the price of bitcoin will be more expensive in the future.
You're right. Current price is quite expensive but it doesn't mean we are impossible to take profits. If we just invest for a short term, it is okay to buy now. But for the long term holding, it is better to wait for the next bearish season. Just keep the funds for buying in 2026-2027, it is probably the time for bearish season. Not sure whether the price will be higher in 2028-2029 but if there is no change, the scheme will remain the same as the current season.
We can actually choose to buy through DCAing. So we can still be able to maximize our profits in the next bullrun. For me buying at the current price is I think quite lower compared to buying in the future. Just try to look at the chart of  Bitcoin at all timeframe you can see that it's rallying upwards so regardless of strategies we are using we can still take profits from it.

Bitcoins ability to make people who believe on it's idea maybe able to grab the opportunity to achieve financial freedom regardless of financial status which leave fiat definitely not an option for me. Decentralization is also what makes Bitcoin beautiful.
Yes, decentralization is the greatest value and the premise for creating other values of BTC in the present and in the future. For me, BTC is the most beautiful crypto because it is leading a great financial revolution in the XXI century, starting by making people think about the nature of money, the impact of inflation, and the manipulation of large financial institutions around the world.

I'm not sure if we can see any financial tool greater than BTC in the future, but at this point, I think Satoshi deserves a Nobel Prize for creating BTC to change the global financial system once and for all.
Yeah the most alarming thing that is inevitable are inflation and manipulation which I think most of us don't really like. This revolutionary digital currency has changed a lot of lives ever since it existed especially early adopters and now it's our turn and that if we are willing to take the risks.

Yeah no doubt the legendary founder really deserves the nobel prize.

So compliance nga lang sa law ng India at balik na sila at bayad ng penalty sa gobyerno. Kaya sabi ko babalik talaga sa tin ang Binance, antay antay lang hehehe. Kung yung iba na-access pa thru other method then good.

Kaya as usual waiting lang tayo talaga.

if we are in this kind of situation where the electricity is still on like its normal situation still and internet is accessible, wouldn't it make sense for the warlords to accept BTC and other crypto?

How many businesses accept BTC in your city?
Where I live, basically none.
Zero.

I opened a thread about this fact
What Happened To Bitcoin?
BTC as a currency has been a complete failure.

So why should people during a civil war accept a currency they can't use in order to buy goods and services?
During a war you aren't interested in increasing your wealth. When food and shelter can anytime become a problem you are not interested in making money.
When your life is at stake you don't care about investing strategies.

There are many warlike situations going on in the world: clashes between ethnic groups... between religious or political factions... civil unrests... state vs. criminals (e.g. narcos)...
Wouldn't it make sense for the warlords to accept BTC and other crypto?
No because in those situations you need a currency which everybody accepts.
This applies to warlords too.
That's why the current usage of BTC and cryptos in those situations is basically zero.
Through p2p yes no doubt about that given that internet is still up. But for businesses tha accepts crypto in general here in my place I can't find them as well. And it seems imposible for me to use my Bitcoin for that purpose unless someone is selling weapons for Bitcoins as we are talking about war in here.

So as an individual how do you plan to have a secured job considering that every job is at risk?
I think what's best is to invest in getting new knowledge on what's the trend and possible trend in the future. Have a vision or a choice of something you can learn that will still be needed even if most of the jobs are being replaced with AI. An expertise where a human intervention is always needed, that a bot can't do as it needs on-the-spot decision making.

Technically correct approach but lot of practical difficulties to be honest, imagine you are working in a sector that all you know for years which may suddenly replaced by AI and now you go on and pursue a completely different skill that even may face the similar problems in the next few years. As of now it's kind of confused state whether the AGI and ASI concept will become real but if we are evolving at this rate then it won't take more than couple of decades Max to see a complete transition that we never expected.
The trend does not limit only in one expertise, in every trend it includes every part or type of job that a human intervention is required as it is also part of the process in developing and improving in that certain field. Aside from that, there is really no such thing as easy in every sector or job. What every individual need to do is to keep on learning and choose for what we see fit for our capability.
Exactly. We humans are unique and that AI cannot take over as we feed them information to do exactly what we instructed them through commands. As you have said there is always human intervention in everything we create including AI. Without human intervention, AI will become outdated or obsolete.

Actually, to make a decision between two choices, your present condition is very important. If your parents are financially well off then I believe going for a four years degree would be a better choice. Because having a Bachelor degree is a must, if you want to apply for a good job. If you are financially in a weak position then taking a job will be better.
True and it all really depends upon someones situation. As we all know we prioritize what we badly needed than just wanted to achieve just like a degree. It all about survival we do have choices and what works with us best.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: All you need to know after Bitcoin halving
« on: May 05, 2024, 11:00:47 PM »
Looks like we don't need to panic, dude. Due to the achievement of the ATH of bitcoin before the halving due to the impact of the ETF, this really makes many people confused whether the bull run has finished before the halving or there will be a higher bull run after the halving, we should wait until the end of this year.
if it went up continuously without making intermediate stops it would not be a healthy thing nor would it be a good thingI would be very suspicious of an asset that only goes up continuously, it wouldnt be normalit is likely that from time to time a take profit is made and that the price fluctuates with an upward trendline.. is normal
Yeah exactly. It will always create pullbacks or even deeper corrections and that is kinda normal to cryptocurrency. Just like Altcoins wherein some of those shitcoins pump continuously and then dump that some of them might not recover and became a dead coin but this will not happen to Bitcoin as it already has proven the greatest coin of all.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Invest & Hodl Bitcoin!!
« on: May 05, 2024, 10:52:18 PM »
If a person wants to invest in Bitcoin, then of course he can benefit most if he invests in long term.  Because if you observe then you will surely see that only those who have invested in Bitcoin for long term have succeeded.  In particular, those who bought Bitcoin between $500 and $600 10 years ago are essentially the wealthiest people today.  That's why I say investing in Bitcoin is best suited for the long term only because ten years from now I think it will definitely be a 70% gain if sold.
Yeah and I regret for not buying as well since I knew Bitcoin at that price range before prices goes rally up. That is why I am trying to catch up right now through Altcoins since they are much cheaper compared to Bitcoin but yeah once I earn profit to alts it will surely be converted back to Bitcoin.
