Cryptocurrency discussions / What About ElonCoin or MuskCoin?
« on: February 21, 2021, 11:03:17 AM »
We know that lately the powerful influence of Elon Musk catapulted many coins into a very bullish state and we are still experiencing this excitement up to now, with some saying that we can be expecting the whole 2021 to be the pulsating year of cryptocurrency as more and more institutional money are getting into the party...and because the food, the music and the vibes are all excellent many are staying for good.

Elon Musk has been the man of the hour and I think there is no other current personality that is able to push cryptocurrencies to the "moon" or should I say to the Mars like him, though of course some are downplaying his contributions as he is not really behind any of these coins that we are talking about.

And that brings me to this topic: Will it be good to have Elon Musk himself introduce his own coin or token?

I am just wondering: is it a good time to introduce new projects during the bull run season like what we have right now? Or maybe it is kinda hard to get the most support from investors as more and more people are holding on to their digital assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum?

Personally, it would take a very good project with a very bright potential for me to open up my digital wallet and let go of my Ethereum to be converted to a new coin or token...and it is getting rarer that I am doing this.

What about you?

Binance Coin (BNB) / I Am Now Into BNB: Happy, Hoping, Doubting
« on: February 20, 2021, 03:54:03 AM »
Days ago I sold my small Bitcoin holding at around $45K thinking that there can be a minor correction at that time. Unfortunately, my lady luck was not working and may have been poisoned by a rat so instead of a correction BTC jumped some more, and it is now over at $50L zone. Made me shake my head a thousand times. I then thought of looking for another digital asset that has the potential to grow at least double in a very short period of time. Then I decided to go for BNB at the $155 price setting...and since it is now at over $300 I am smiling and just hoping that soon it can go beyond the $500 level...

Some people are predicting that BNB has the potential to go for the $1000 goal at the right time...now though I really doubting that am hoping that it can happen. What do you think?

Cryptocurrency discussions / Are We Officially In the Altcoins Season?
« on: February 19, 2021, 04:41:54 AM »
I think 2021 will go down in the cryptocurrency history as the biggest year so far as we are seeing new ATHs broke down by many coins and tokens in the expanding and pulsating cryptocurrency industry. Today, Bitcoin has gone to the moon and beyond, and yet there can be more as we are still no bears clearly on site. Ethereum, BNB, Cardano are just a few platforms making good impressive runs, and again many are expecting there can be more in the following days and weeks. So far, i still have to hear a chorus of warning that the winter is imminent so most probably more growth can be coming but of course at some point there can be a taper off time.

So can we now declare that the altcoins season has already come?

Bitcoin Forum / The Power of Corporate Buying of BTC
« on: February 09, 2021, 02:42:12 AM »
Wow, just after I am convinced that Bitcoin is having a very hard time to get past the important and psychological level of $40,000 and maybe BTC resting at around $37-38K, came the news that Tesla is planning to join the Bitcoin party by soon accepting the said cryptocurrency and that it just purchased $1.5 billion in BTC days ago. That very good news pushed the BTC above $40K and is now hovering in the vicinity of $46K -- looking at ways it can get into $50K soon.

Maybe if the rumored news that Apple is also planning to get into the Bitcoin thing can come true than we can see Bitcoin going beyond the $50K...so much good news happening here and this can be creating some sort of an avalanche for other big corporate entities to also make their presence known by buying Bitcoin and hitting the news at the same time. Well, that can be free advertising in the first place and possibly great profits just using one stone.

Bitcoin Forum / High Rise, High Fall?
« on: February 07, 2021, 04:05:09 AM »
All cryptocurrency enthusiasts are all looking to that day when what they are holding - they be Bitcoin or otherwise - can go for a bull run. And that is what is happening right now. Unlike in 2017, this is a prolonged type of a bull run and many are predicting this can go on for the rest of 2021 as more and more institutional money is positioning to join the BTC party.

However, there lingers that feeling or maybe a certain amount of fear that the high the rise of Bitcoin, the high also is its fall later. I am sure the same thing happened in the past with what many called as crypto winter and there are those who are concluding that history is not going to be giving an exemption even at this time.

So should we be celebrating Bitcoi's best performance and yet still preparing for the worst?

Cryptocurrency discussions / Altcoins Are Now Starting to Move
« on: February 06, 2021, 06:12:59 AM »
There had been many good and positive developments in the cryptocurrency marketplace in the recent weeks and all are pointing to the continuation of the bull run of Bitcoin and some more popular altcoins. I am already seeing some good moves not just in Bitcoin and Ethereum but also other coins as well and this can be the start of something really more massive. Lucky are those who stick on to the hodling strategy and got never discouraged while waiting for the right time.

What is then your altcoin strategy: Will you put a cap in the ceiling of the price and then you let go to take advantage of making some profits or you continue on holding beyond 2021?

Elon Musk is a very popular man due to his big list of success stories, so he has become like a symbol of triumph to many of us. Whatever he is saying can have an impact on many markets. And recently, this is proven when he just merely included the word Bitcoin on his Twitter account. The same happened to Dogecoin and maybe XRP.

What is amazing is that Elon is not actually holding a lot of cryptocurrency and his company is not known to be involved with it either (though of course, we don't know for sure because there are many ways to hide one's involvement with anything).

Should we continue listening to this man? And to what extent will his endorsement be effective in pumping the cryptocurrency market?

News related to Crypto / Crypto-curious Andy Jassy to become new Amazon CEO
« on: February 03, 2021, 05:10:07 AM »

Jeff Bezos steps down and is to be replaced by a guy known to have a good connection with the cryptocurrency industry in the past years. Will this mean that we can expect Andy Jassy to look on how to incorporate cryptocurrency to the growing Amazon ecosystem? Well, I am hoping so and they can start with Bitcoin.

What is your opinion on this development in Amazon?

Cryptocurrency discussions / No Big Bull Run for Altcoins in 2021?
« on: February 02, 2021, 03:47:38 AM »

I am sure that many of us here are expecting there that can be a big bull run for altcoins within this year but in my opinion I think this is not going to happen. What can we see might be some surge of interest with some coins or tokens from time to time or maybe a manipulation like what WallStreetBets is doing. The reason for the Bitcoin bull run is the entrance of institutional money into the party and this might not be happening with most of the altcoins, except maybe Ethereum.

Now, having said that, of course, I would be happy to be wrong since all of us are really longing for our favorite coins/tokens to take some big leaps ahead in the cryptocurrency market game. What is your opinion and prediction?

Bitcoin Forum / Bitcoin: The Money of the Rich and Influential?
« on: February 01, 2021, 11:49:09 AM »
It would have been nice if Bitcoin can be the money of the masses or the people -- ordinary guys like you and me. However, we know that this is not the case as right now many are looking at Bitcoin as something to be exorbitant already and can be beyond the reach of people on the streets (though of course anybody can buy Bitcoin at any amount).

The recent bull run had been possible largely to the coming in of the institutional money into the Bitcoin universe. I am just wondering...do you think that many years from now Bitcoin is largely on the hands of the rich and the influential? And do you think it would just be fine with this kind of a dynamic?

Cryptocurrency discussions / Cryptocurrency: Making Money Out of Air?
« on: January 30, 2021, 10:29:40 AM »
There is that persistent concept in some people that cryptocurrency is just actually making money out of air. In other words, everything in cryptocurrency are based on nothing of really valuable in the first place, and therefore we can say that in the long-term the future of this whole thing is not so bright but bleak. This can be likened to the printing of money which many central banks can be doing right now.

How valid is this assumption and what can be the best argument against this impression?

"Ripple blockchain company has filed an official reply to the lawsuit it faces from the US SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission). It now demands the agency to release documents explaining why Bitcoin and Ethereum – the two most popular cryptocurrencies - are not securities."

I am sure this is an interesting move. But will SEC respond to the query by Ripple or will it just thrash this lawsuit to the garbage bag? Let's watch what can be...

Right now, there are some countries which already recognized the power of the blockchain and cryptocurrency to be game-changers in different areas especially on matters of finance, banking and money. The blockchain, of course, can be adopted by any industry to make things better, faster and more transparent. Blockchain is not the solution to all problems we have but can certainly be of big help as a tool.

China is recognizing the blockchain and cryptocurrency by leading the way on research and by introducing its CBDC, though it may not recognize decentralized cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum and the others. I think this can be the same stance that other big countries like Russia and India are into.

In Japan and Germany, there is a strong interest with the blockchain and cryptocurrency and these countries are allowing big cryptocurrencies to flourish in the market amidst strong and strict regulatory framework. I think the same can be said for North Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines and even Malaysia.

So what about the USA? Well, in the USA it is not illegal to own cryptocurrencies but one has to make sure that regulations are followed to the bones and tax matters are handled well, otherwise there might be a notice coming for you. Will USA be the leading force for the blockchain technology soon? Maybe yes maybe no.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Afraid of Possible Crypto Winter?
« on: January 24, 2021, 03:29:09 AM »
In the past years of cryptocurrency history, a bull run period can be followed by a slump winter where coins and tokens can be experiencing a big cut of their price or value. I think many of us here in this industry -- small and big holders, investors and enthusiasts -- are still have this fear that in 2021 it can still happen.

In your estimate, what is the rate of chance that a crypto winter can manifest within this year? Rate it from 1 being almost nil to 10 to being really so possible. And what can be the possible factors leading to loss of gains and slide of value of many cryptos?
