Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: What tokens are trending?
« on: March 27, 2024, 04:09:27 AM »

We are in the bullish season so naturally there will be coins and tokens that will be trending because of their sudden and solid rise in the crypto market. Just recently, I saw how excited are the supporters of BOME as it made its mark significantly in the market. And we also have Solana which did not failed its holders as it made a skyrocketing ascent to the top of the chain. There are more in CMC and you can just inspect on their chart to see how they defied the odds and made them so remarkable. As far as meme tokens can be concerned, I find PEPE, dogwifhat, BONK and MEME to be outstanding and may continue to be gaining strength in 2024. However, one must be careful in dealing with these flashy digital assets as there many of them that are not actually bringing real value but just here because of the generated hypes especially from the people promoting them so make some profits while the iron is hot and drop them when they start to get cold. Good luck on your hunt.

Of course, they will be diving big time to cryptocurrency as they are seeing that big potential to create more profits in here. Just like greedy sharks, they can smell blood even from afar and with cryptocurrency it is happening right within their noses. And this can be a big validation to the crypto industry most especially top digital assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum where we already have the ETFs for the former and maybe coming for the latter. When clients of big financial institutions are demanding to have a slice of the profits, they have no choice but to listen to them and so they are making ways to be a part of the action in one way or another. Years from now, we can then evaluate if the presence of these new whales is doing the crypto industry good or they are just like a big nuisance you can't take away anymore.

This quote from Amanda Tuminelli, Chief Legal Officer at DeFi Education Fund, sums it all up of what's wrong with this case and how low SEC resorted just to supposedly win the case: "SEC was so focused on its own advocacy that it lied to the court in order to bolster its position..." Actually, this is so unbelievable because SEC should uphold the highest standard and is expected to be on top of things in enforcing its regulatory powers. I am not anymore wondering why many other crypto firms are now fighting SEC especially if they think the agency overstep the boundary and is in fact violating ethics and maybe even the law it swore to enforce to all. I am really wishing that SEC will soon get the beating in the XRP case.

Gambling discussion / Re: effect of excessive gambling
« on: March 26, 2024, 02:13:21 PM »
Gambling has had been with humanity for ages and the first recorded of gambling date back 20 2300 B.C. and jumping to 2010 the invention of smartphones in the 2000s brought access to gambling into the palm of someone’s hand and this is the era we are now in where anytime anybody who got some money can gamble. Biblically, the first gamble happened when Adam took the enticement of the serpent via Eve and ate the fruit of forbidden tree which resulted into the kind of world we are experiencing where people can be victims of addictions of all forms, types and impact. The cost of gambling to a personal level can be devastating not only to the gambler himself but also with people around him...and the cost to the society can be staggering as well though this can be harder to measure most especially if stakeholders are just looking at the possible revenues that can be raised. That is why we have to be careful with gambling so we won't be addicted and be destroying our lives.

Robert Kiyosaki, author of the renowned personal finance book “Rich Dad, Poor Dad,” predicts $100,000 Bitcoin by September and views the current economic landscape.

Kiyosaki, known for his insights on wealth-building and investment, announced his plans to purchase 10 more Bitcoin before April, emphasizing the upcoming Bitcoin halving as a significant event for potential investors.

He suggests that those who cannot afford a whole Bitcoin might consider buying a fraction of one through the Bitcoin ETFs or Satoshis, hinting at the possibility of owning an entire Bitcoin by year’s end if the process unfolds as expected.

Taken from here: https://crypto.news/robert-kiyosaki-predicts-100k-bitcoin-by-september/

The bullish season of Bitcoin 2024 is also the time when the media seems to be getting fond of Bitcoin evangelist Robert Kiyosaki as he is not shy to predict a rosy picture for this asset. Known to also love gold and silver, he had since then embraced Bitcoin as part of his own portfolio and is always telling others to follow the same path towards financial independence. His latest prediction of September 2024 BTC at $100K seems to be doable...in fact in my own opinion this is already too long because I am hoping the $100K level to happen around June or July. Anyway, these are all speculations and only time can validate with whatever we are saying here since nobody actually possesses the crystal ball of the future. So what do you think...do you have a good prediction of your own for Bitcoin within the time-frame of 2024?

The best solution for people like Peter Schiff is to stop giving them attention, as most of his statements are so stupid that others respond to him and his name appears in articles and on channels as a “Bitcoin hater.” If Bitcoin is this bad, there is no need to express your opinion every week. if I don't like something, I will comment on it once or twice and stop following its news.
I think Peter Schiff is now the official anti-Bitcoin evangelist so if we have Robert Kiyosaki always on the news praising Bitcoin, sliver and gold, we have this man who has the propensity to say anything against Bitcoin so as to make it bad though of course the market is not responding well to his pronouncements as the rise and growth of Bitcoin eclipse that of gold, his preferred investment vehicle. As pointed in the article, this area where the man is criticizing is actually also so true with other types of ETFs including that of gold...so what gives? For sure, Peter will say anything negative on Bitcoin and things related to it, no matter what. Next time we know he will even be criticizing even the very name of Bitcoin...and that would be so hilarious.

They will have to accept that Ethereum isn't a security but a commodity just like Bitcoin. I'm very sure that SEC will lose against Ethereum in that case and they'll surely accept ETH as a commodity. SEC is always doing such dramas and they really don't want crypto-currencies to evolve to highest levels. However, I believe they'll finally accept ETH as community when they lose the court case.

SEC is just wasting its time with this case on Ethereum. What they should do is to look for so many other players in the market who can be suspicious including many scam type ones so they would not be victimizing people out of their hard-earned money. Going against something that has for years already proven itself not to be a security is just a plain example of SEC's arrogance and abuse of power. I am really hoping that Biden will be kicked out of the White House this November so they can pressure Gary Gensler and his minions to go somewhere else.

Asset tokenization will be growing a lot in the next few years and when it is combined with NFT, gaming, Web 3.0 and even AI then we are talking of a huge potential that can create a big market to even rival the usual cryptocurrency though they can be working inextricably with each other. I am expecting many players to be rising soon taking advantage of this trend and be valuable platforms...and this can mark a big diversification and expansion of the whole industry catering to the needs of millions from all ages and cultures.

Isn't that the major reason why we have cryptocurrency...to act as the medium of exchange in a peer-to-peer fashion? Within more than a decade of its existence though we still have to see that vision come true in a massive way because even if Bitcoin is quite so popular already it is more of an investment vehicle or to make more money rather than act like the money which can be use to buy a candy, a soft drink or a condom in a convenience store. So what are the things hindering that big vision to come true, in the first place. One is the scalability problem. Two is the extreme volatility where a coin can go up and down anytime of the day. Three is the fact that people are speculating so they would rather store their coin in their wallet and wait for it to go x10 or x100 so they can be rich. And I belong to the last category though my BTC is not that big, actually.

25
I am sure that those people are complaining because their expectations were not met when the coin reached an exchange...but since the price got doubled already then this is really a manifestation of greed when we are not satisfied with what we have at hand and would wish for more. Under such a circumstance, a normal crypto investor would already be happy because of the 100% growth and if one will sell then it is already a big profit for such a short time. Now, there are times when a coin would do x10 or even x100 and maybe those people are thinking that the coin would be doing such a run-away price jump. Sad but this can be common not just in the crypto industry but everywhere. People are greedy and there are times when greediness can be so overwhelming.

The North Korean government doesn't take any actions against those thefts and that's why the malicious actors get more courage to do such crimes. When government support is in your back and criminals get rewarded then in a country like that everyone will try to follow the same path.

Of course, the North Korean government will not be doing anything with this multi-billion dollar enterprise all because it is in fact the sponsor of it...and I am sure that hackers are under the command of the government and it is either they produce successful hacks or they will be sent somewhere else for involuntary labor-based punishment. We can even say that the cryptocurrency industry is indirectly a big blessing to this hermit kingdom as it allows them to have a new lifeline for its struggling economy and to fund its ambitious military power. What is unfortunate is that there seems to be no effective way to control the intrusion coming from North Korean hackers...and I believe they must be highly intelligent and highly trained too even better than those people/firms providing security technology.

This is one important news that I read somewhere just a while ago. What is good with this is that this is outflows meaning huge amount of Bitcoin are moving from exchanges to other wallets presumably for accumulation and when something like can happen the sentiment can be bullish and this can be affecting the movement of the price in a very positive way. Right now, BTC is still at $65K after some good dip in recent days so I am expecting that maybe there is a big chance for it to reclaim the $70K spot days from now. I would be worrying a lot with the movement of Bitcoin can be towards exchanges as there is a chance they can be converting them to USDT for liquidation.

29
Robert Kiyosaki is now a very well-known Bitcoin evangelist, telling people how to prepare for the possibility of a big economic downturn to happen in years to come. While nobody can really predict when something will happen and if it can happen in the first place, there is nothing wrong with preparing for it  as it would already be too late to prepare for something when that something is already knocking at the door. People who listened to the Bitcoin advice of Robert Kiyosaki when BTC was just around $30K in price are now smiling and celebrating...now if anyone will go for Bitcoin now and then after halving the price can go beyond $100K then the advice is serving well. Now, if in case the doom and gloom scenario he is saying can come true then people who took action would be much prepared than those who just shrugged him off.

U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Gary Gensler has reiterated that the crypto industry is filled with instances of abuse and fraud, citing a significant number of bankruptcies in recent years. He also cautioned investors in spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds.

And that is precisely why that aside from focusing a lot of energy to wage a war with crypto players, it should also press for passing regulatory laws that can cover the whole industry and will define once and for all the many vague areas so as to lessen  confusion and chaos in doing crypto-related business. SEC should be working with the industry to produce more clarity and compliance instead of the kind of things it is doing right now under Gary Gensler. And I think Congress is very much willing to look into all of these matters if there is a strong signal coming from the Biden administration but so far it is all talk and nothing concrete yet.
