Elon Musk was sued for $258 billion by a Dogecoin investor

I find it curious that this is happening, especially since several months ago, during the last Doge ATH, I said in several of my posts that something like this could happen. Honestly, I don't think anything is going to happen, we know that Elon Musk has an army of the best lawyers and that the SEC can't do anything because there is no clear regulation. But as an anecdote I find it curious that someone has sued Musk for that, the title of the news says it all.

Do you think the person who has sued Elon Musk will get something out of this?.

This lawsuit is absurd and has no judicial perspective. Elon Musk did not commit any actions that would violate the rights of third parties. He didn't even encourage people to buy Dogecoin like so many others do regarding various cryptocurrencies on social media.
If desired, Elon Musk can put forward a counterclaim for defamation and actions that undermine his reputation. It will be interesting to see what happens next with this lawsuit.

I partly understand why the guy is suing, though most of his points are truly absurd and plain daftness. But then, I had it in mind during the Elon Musk induced Dogecoin pump that he may be flirting with unlawful market manipulation charges, and I said so here on Altcointalk

Elon Musk didn't even directly advertise Dogecoin. He just mentioned the name of this coin, wrote that it would skyrocket in price, really stated that Tesla would accept this coin. It is impossible to tell the Mask something here. Everyone can express their personal opinion about any events or things. So what Elon Musk did in relation to the Dogecoin coin is his right. Not everyone can agree with Musk's statements and actions. But this is also their right. Therefore, I am sure that the claim will be rejected.

I don't think it's normal for someone to sue Musk (for the record, I don't like Musk at all) for trying to get rich or earn the same amount of money. As I said a long time ago, I don't think Musk would care much about losing $100,000, but for anyone else it could be bankruptcy. There are people, especially in the cryptocurrency market, who believe that by doing the same thing as a billionaire they can become as rich as him, but that doesn't work that way, because for that they should take the same risks.

I know what you mean mate. What I would also like to say is that although morally I agree with you regarding the manipulation of Elon Musk, legally that lawsuit is not going to have any consequences. First we have to wait for the chief prosecutor to accept the lawsuit (I don't know if it is already admitted or not) and then see what happens, although it is most likely that Musk's lawyers will reach some kind of "legal agreement" with the other party in case the demand can escalate to something more.

I agree with you, but in case you didn't know, suing someone is a sport in the United States. Every day there are hundreds of cases in the country for various reasons, some really strange and others very funny, but all the people who sue are looking for the same thing, money, and also to set a precedent in the current legislation. I don't like Musk, but after all it's not his fault that an army of blind followers follow him and try to imitate what he does.

Everyone can do anything because freedom in the US is guaranteed by regulations and they can do that if they feel aggrieved and can prove it in court.
it could be that what is being demanded is true but don't we also think this is to increase its own value with a claim that is actually doubtful of its truth?

Great influencer that influence crypto world in just a simple tweet. His followers hype and escalate the possible meaning and then retweet and gain more impact regardless of the real meaning of his tweet.

Well, indeed, Elon is great and not easily put to jail without serious and deep invalid reasons responsibly. Bulks evidences is necessary to catch attention and start the investigation ASAP if justified.
