Based on the situation of this couple, regardless of them being split soon after the winning, I think the best thing to do here is to cut the prize into half so that tensions between the two parties will de-escalate and avoid any confrontation or emotional turmoil and stress that sometimes end up so badly on both of them. Ego clash won't bear good results that is why we need to keep ourselves calm and fair with others especially in a situation like this.

They both don't have any lawful claim to the ticket. It is only the lady's name that is on the ticket, which means that the money will be paid to her, and she is the rightful owner of the win. What I think is that greed has taken over the lady and she doesn't care about the guy anymore. She feels that with the money, she can get a new guy and life large. If really that it was the guy that told her to buy those scratch tickets, and she paid with her own money, she should be able to give him some amount fir coming up with a suggestion that turned her life around.

One party is obviously lying about who paid for the ticket. The woman claims that the guy didn't send any money for the ticket but that can be easily proven in the app that was used. I think that will be the strongest argument of the man to claim 50% of the winning. He needs a good lawyer for that. As far as the lottery office is concerned, the one who got the ticket is the rightful claimant.

If they are married there is no problem, the law can settle this issue, but since they are not married the law about conjugal properties has no effect here, if the woman is righteous and she loves the man she can share the money or give part of the winnings but it seems the woman don't want to do that so they will likely land in court, I'm sure the court will do an intervention and settle this out of court, its not good if in relationship money is the root of misunderstanding.
There are so many marriages that ended in divorce because of issues about money so it's unlikely they are going to get married if they cannot settle this issue.

There is no problems with winning a jackpot but the problems is what is the situation of their love history and storyline and if both are lovers and ready to unite together then they can both keep the money for their future but in a way they aren't wanting to be one then they could both make it 40/60 while the 60 percentage to the man and the 40 percentage to the woman. In their storyline there is no love among them because if there were to be love this could have been the best time for them to play about their future and their children to come.

When I saw that couple story, the greediness of those two partners actually came out. It means that because of money, they are not serious about each other. In short, their relationship or love is of no value to them.

Both of them look like money, and the ugly behavior comes out because of money. So what I see as the best thing is to divide the winnings of both of them 50/50 so that they won't have any more problems in the end.

Love? Just looking at the photo I don't think they had a romantic love story like the ones in 19th century novels. They were probably a couple who got together because they couldn't get a more attractive boyfriend and girlfriend. And the fact that they split up after earning almost two million dollars tells me that neither of them must have had a very high income. I think the story is less about gambling and more about how money gives you options and allows you to do other things in life.

The people you mentioned had less love and more greed for money which is why money drove them apart. Had they not won this huge amount of money, if their lives had gone on normally, they might not have split up. Since two of them won the jackpot, two of them wanted to take the money. Maybe one of them wanted to keep the money but the other objected to it and claimed that he should have the same amount of money. These days it is common to see cases where many families are broken due to money and we can see many divorces due to money.
