but a lot of fraud is also sometimes from a good and confident whitepaper
here we can see if the white paper is not enough to deduce the legitimacy and credibility of the ICO. What other things should be seen before making an ICO investment decision!

Friends trends are changing now a days in I used to hear from my friends to find good ICO you need to read whitepaper to take your disicion whether to invest or not. The way ICO got famous the scam also got increased and from all those scamy ICO it has been observed this ICOs were also had good whitepaper. Which makes scene here whitepaper is not enough to conclude legitimacy and credibility of the ICOs. What other things should be looked before making investment decisions.

Looking at just whitepaper is not enough as whitepaper are just words and as long as you got good command for a language you can write it as beautiful as you want. I choose ICO either through comparing benchmark websites, intuition on whether will this project be needed in the time to come, the team members and lastly the MVP they have.

i think Whitepaper has more than enough information, a bad Whitepaper usually has less than 20 pages, it just shows they have no passion and believe at all in the ICO and also no team information at all. and another one is how strong the community is.

No I do not think only white paper is enough to conclude the legitimacy or otherwise of an ico projects these days.
You need to know how serious and experienced the team members are in relation to get the project to some heights.
You need to research the usefulness of the project and if it has a working product already.

For me I think intuition is very important. Also, the team's history is also very important. Put these two together plus other research made.

Read whitepaper is a good way to undestand if the project has a really purpose or it's just a scam. Personally I always read whitepaper but then I check team members in linkedin and ask some technical questions to them in telegram to check if they are really who they say.

Now it is very difficult to distinguish a fraudulent ICO project from a non-fraudulent one. The fraudsters have learned how to create good documents, therefore only documents cannot identify them. Even having read all of their documents and having read their team on their website, it is impossible to say whether the project is fraudulent or not. A certain doubt may sneak in, but we still cannot confirm or deny it.
To solve this problem, government regulation of ICO activities is needed. Many states are taking steps in this direction. It is Japan, Germany, Russia, and I was especially interested that the United States is going to introduce regulation of cryptocurrency and ICO activities.

I think the most important thing to study is about the team members. We don't just read the whitepaper, google the information of the team members as much as possible, such as in their social media. Ensure our selves that the team members can be trusted and not fake. Check also their track records.

Whitepaper is for the outline of what they are trying to do in the whole duration of the project. You cannot detect if it is a scam by simply reading the whitepaper.  Anyone can make a whitepaper. For me You should look at the team members. There is a software that detects of the picture was photoshoped or has been used in any project.

What you said almost true, but I think analyzing for a good ICO is not enough from Whitepaper only. We should do complex analysis to find out the information about the team members behind the project also. It is not shared on WP full information, we should look for through social media and other sources.

Most of us check whitepaper to decide whether to invest in ICOs or not on the other hand we have seen many projects dev copy paste whitepaper of other projects and apart from this I always try to join reputed bounty manager projects, Checks ICO rating, team members identity these all things also matters in deciding the legitimacy.

Almost all ICO'S have whitepaper and many are still scam. Its not just about a project having a whitepaper, the whitepaper just shows everything about that project and I must say that sometimes people detect a project is scam from reading the whitepaper. When trying to invest in a project, study the project beyond whitepaper, check ico sites for rating, the team involved and get more information about the project before investing.
