Title: very high Ethereum price is a threat to the entire Ethereum ecosystem
Post by: troll on January 10, 2018, 01:59:31 PM
Ethereum is not a currency, it is needed to power the ethereum ecosystem,

If token distributions and contract creations would become expensive, i am sure they will also become less frequent.

Especially that the network is jammed with cryptokitties traffic ...

It seems that the cryptokitties popularity is slowly fading, but other DAPPS like that could emerge. I would think that the capability to handle many transactions is a limit and has to be improved.

The total supply of the tokens is small for what has become of eth, the transaction fees become higher and this is why there would be shift at some point in the future. At the moment I have the impression that 80% of the new tokens are ERC20. The system is clogging and in the next 1-2 years I can see shift to cardano, maybe at the begging it will be gradual but I can't foresee a future where ETH will be a hagemon.

pp. that doesn't mean that the price of the token will fall or that eth will become absolute

This will prose a serious threat to airdrop campaign, because everything won't be on a platter of gold again.
