Money Laundering started with banks not bitcoins.
« on: December 01, 2018, 01:31:15 PM »
The people in Banking industry have long associated Bitcoins with money laundering, from calling it a bubble to linking it to terrorists money they did everything in their power to destroy bitcoins. Today it's been proved that money laundering happens due to banks, was happening before bitcoins came. Deutsche Bank has been raided for money laundering, and it's pertinent to note bankers from this bank had said bitcoins is used for money laundering. It proves that fiat money is and always will be used for money laundering, it's time to stop the witch hunt against bitcoins. #ItrustBitcoinsoverBank.
Yes money laundry started with the banks and will ever be in the banking sector. Moreso, bitcoin just came in compared to ages that the banks have been into existence and have been in this laundry of a thing. I can say categorically that money laundering is only done in the banks and not in cryptocurrency..

in my opinion it is propaganda against bitcoin, we can see that banks feel threatened by the existence of bitcoin and spread negative issues against bitcoin, the banks do not dare to compete in a healthy manner. and also with crypto technology like blockchain can destroy banks.

That's right. I think if people have willing to do money laundering, they will do it with whatever they can to get the proofits, the most common thing is by money. It has been a very common issues that money laundering starts from the banks, conventional banks in the world. However, many issues also inform that along with the growing technology, they are also aware of the crypto and they make crypto as the tool for their bad activities. Just never follow what they do.

it's true with what you think, the bank will do anything for its business to continue, I think the strategy undertaken by the bank is very appropriate, they uses online newspaper news media and so on, the weakness of bitcoin is only on the news, if the news has very bad elements for bitcoin so the price of bitcoin will definitely be destroyed, plus the news writers who usually rechange the first news,

Money Laundering started with banks and a lot of such transactions are still being carried out. Bitcoin is 10 years old and the mainstream society are yet to accept it as a means of payment. The volume of money laundered using bitcoin is insignificant  compared to the fiat currency

I did not think there was a need to prove that Bitcoin was not  the source of money laundering as it existed way before Bitcoin. There will be money laundering as long as there is a financial system.

Many governments see Bitcoin as a tool to fight corruption, finance terrorism, as well as to combat money laundering through a public registry and the ability to track all transactions. It is difficult to launder money if each satoshi sent to someone is visible on the blockchain. With the help of banks, money laundering occurs every day and the amounts are laundered huge.

I think Bitcoin is another way to launder money, which probably makes the life of people who investigate that kind of crime even harder, but the the fundamental problem is not with Bitcoin, it's human nature. If it's not Bitcoin criminals will find something else. The problem is in the criminals.

I think money Laundering actually started when laws were made against what is now called money laundering. Before those laws money laundering was considered to be privacy.
