Do you always invest in top ranked coins?

Hi Everyone,
As advised I am trying to learn the basics of crypto first.
Most of the suggestions mention investing in top ranked coins. My question is, does it always work? As far as I understand, the market is vulnerable and affects almost all the coins from top to bottom. How then you determine which ones would stay ?

I think investing in the top coins will not always be profitable, I am more inclined to look at the potential and the development of the project itself before investing.

Some to ranked Coin are still not worth investing in. Many still turn out worthless when it gets to the market.  I suggest you make well enough research before you invest.  Don't believe in the hype

No. I look for the project areas, team and tech that they are using, older projects, token metrics and market cap of the token-coin if I am going to invest into one of them. So it automatically becomes 100+ ranked coins.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no but I always recommend to divers ify the investments rather than sticking to only few assets, all of this coins is very volatile.

Top ranked coins are good way to invest.These coins are trusted and stronger coins.But long term investment is best.So you can get more profitable in the future.

Cryptocurrency price movements in the market are very volatile, the price bullish or bearish are normal, most people choose to invest in the top 10 coins in the coinmarketcap because this coin already has a large community and a solid #DevelopmentTeam , different from the ICO coins which have only a small community if the #DevelopmentTeam  is not smart enough working on the promised concept according to the roadmap will result in the project failing and the coins will no longer be valuable. the most important of all is analyzing before investing.

most of the time, I am investing only on the top coin on the market cap. If something wrong on the way, I usually just hold the coin because I believe these coins will go up eventually. I am waiting for the bullish market so I could release some of my holding.

investing in the top-ranked coins is much safer especially in this market condition but it is not always better, for example, when you put your money in one of the top-ranked coins you are sure that your money will not just vanish but when you put your money in new coins you face the risk of losing all your money but at the same time the chance of making big profit become much more because when new coins spikes and pump they usually do big ROI. so, in the end, it is totally up to you and whether you prefer safe with low profit or risky with high returns.

I prefer to invest in Altecoin which has been known by many investors and has a large market capacity because it is safer for the long term

I adhere to a simple technique, the lower the market drop, the more coins from the top 5 you buy, but not more than 20% of the total amount of this coin in your portfolio. When the market has grown sell buy, the strategy is long but effective.

No, I will follow the news first. Especially new coins. If from the news that I get and I observe it makes sense, it has a potentially developing value. I will save it even if it's a new coin.
