Yeah we could consider them as modern day pirate since they take what does not belong to them by force and use it for their selfish interest, although if they had stolen and then give to the poor then i will consider them as modern day robin hood but that is not the case, hackers are causing damage to the crypto space which is not good, the defi space are the worse hit from hackers.

It is a good Idea. We can say that all of the hacker's world wide is considered as modern day pirates for some reasons. They take something illegal from the cryto currency world. Another reason why they are considered  modern pirates is because they are governed or led by unknown person, meaning all what they needed is already provided by their king pirates.
