What is the best choice for LTC wallet?
« on: December 28, 2023, 11:54:58 AM »
The current burden on the Bitcoin network and high fees are turning us to alternative solutions for "small" payments. LTC still has the most authority of all altcoins.

I use the Trezor hardware wallet for most of the currencies I hold, so I'm not the most knowledgeable about what is a good choice for a software wallet. It must certainly support all types of addresses.

Previously I used the Litecoin core wallet from https://litecoin.org/ but I remember that he had to download the complete blockchain, so it was a bit tedious.
As another choice, it would probably be https://electrum-ltc.org/

Does anyone have a recommendation, based on personal experience?
I believe that this could be a useful topic, considering that some signature campaigns will pay out in Litecoin.

Litecoin (LTC) was one of the earliest altcoins and is one of the few that has stood the test of time to remain a popular digital currency today. To invest in Litecoin, crypto investors require a Litecoin wallet that provides a high level of security, an easy-to-use interface, and the ability to seamlessly store, send, and receive the cryptocurrency.

I used to love coinomi.

But I must warn: Stop using it. The project is abandoned, and every month new coins are getting error and stop syncing.

Monero, Ethereum and Dash suddenly stopped working, and coinomi use custom derivation paths, which make coins a little hard to recover.

Everyone should avoid Coinomi, as it is not working anymore and hasn't received updates for the last 2 years.

I am a beginner in using Litecoin and I have also looked at wallets like Atomic , Guarda , Exodus , Electrum have not tried them yet.
Even to use a Litecoin wallet, I use Trust Wallet because it is easier to use on my smartphone. Hehe

As for Trust Wallet, I actually just downloaded it yesterday afternoon because previously I used a wallet from Safepal.
The first wallet I used was Metamask, Safepal, Electrum and then Trust Wallet but I used all the wallets. Especially for this Litecoin wallet, I think I prefer Trust Wallet because the User Interface is very simple, comfortable and fast response.
retire and rest in peace

so I'm not the most knowledgeable about what is a good choice for a software wallet.
Trust Wallet

I would recommend you to try Trust Wallet because Trust Wallet is a soft ware wallet that is widely used by retail investors.
As far as I know, this Trust Wallet has been acquired by Binance and its assets are also owned by Binance, this is extraordinary, isn't it?
But Binance also has its own wallet, namely SafePal and has a hardware wallet, different from Trust Wallet which only has software. So, i'll let you know if Trust Wallet is good choice for software wallet.

Me too, frequently using Trust wallet. I love their recent update which for me it is smoother, faster and much more safer. Easier to use and a lot of services that available.

To me LTC can be keep in any Dex wallet that have access to multiple coins. But I'm actually using trust wallet to hold my LTC  and so far it as being good, So all that matters is how you use it and how careful are with your phrases that just it.

Litecoin is a bit more problematic to hold...

Comparing to bitcoin, it is much more volatile.  I was holding 100 usd of litecoin from a campaign (since December 13), and now it is worth just 90.

10% down!
While bitcoin price is nearly the same...

I think I won't hold those ltc we receive.

exactly. When considering V, Bitcoin transaction fees are currently very high, even many times higher than usual. and of course this will increase even closer to or after the halving, it will definitely be many times higher. and LTC is an alternative for several payments because the fees are lower than BTC. There are actually two types of LTC swallows, but it will also depend on which one the user is comfortable with and which one they are used to. I know I personally use an LTC wallet from Trustwallet which is also available for mobile devices. However, if it is an online wallet, the risk is still higher compared to a hardware wallet.

Now, because of Ordinals, the price of Bitcoin transactions has grown to incredible values. And let everyone praise him as well as praise Ethereum, but in practice everyone uses litecoin because of the low commissions. This is a really practical crypto coin, which is why I chose it for investment.

Trust Wallet
Are you shilling for a Trust wallet?
Why do you emphasize the name of the wallet?
I don't recommend Shilling Trust Wallet to everyone but I only use Trustwallet for my own Shilling because it is very easy to use.
If my words contain the word "recommendation" it is only a notification that I use Trust Wallet for myself.

If you suggest wallets from https://electrum-ltc.org/ and https://litecoin.org/ it is definitely a recommendation from you to everyone and maybe it is easier to use in your opinion.
But for me, using Trust Wallet for a Litecoin wallet just using Trustwallet is good. My life is always looking for something that is easy, simple and easy to understand, and that is my choice of Trustwallet for Litecoin.  ;D  ;D  ;D

« Reply #12 on: January 13, 2024, 11:45:41 AM »

Does anyone have a recommendation, based on personal experience?
I believe that this could be a useful topic, considering that some signature campaigns will pay out in Litecoin.

I think trust wallet, safepal are good to safe your litecoin.
As android user we can used trust wallet and safepal.
But if you prefer in other, it up to your what to use.
Along time I used trust wallet, it's safety.
Safepall is also secure.
So, We can used both..
I'm not trust wallet marketing, just a user.. :)
