Title: Is it possible to build the ICO project by the community?
Post by: bosshyip on July 06, 2018, 06:38:09 AM
Let's imagine the interest of team is always learn to be scammers.

Is it possible to build the ICO project by the community and hire people to implement it step by step?

The community can manage the quality of work by voting in smart-contract and decide pay or not to pay for a job.

We exclude the interest of the team. We exclude the team.

We place the button on the website `We hire` and pay people for the job in the case when the community is satisfied.

The code is located on GitHub (open source) so anyone can join to collaborate.

What do you think?

I have read about this feature where the funds are released after each of milestones outlined in the whitepaper that certainly is one way to prevent fraud and protect the community from exist scams which are particularly harmful in the big picture. Thanks bosshyip for reminding us of this possibility I expect ICO s with this feature some time in not far future

Yes it may be possible. but, it will be more difficult. We must prepare many things with the trusted community, experienced individuals, and also different countries probably. It may be challenges. But it may be interesting as one of the efforts to avoid scam.

But the most part is the idea. Right now we can see countless number of ico s however their business model seem unappealing or are just copy cats. This will not change for a while i believe not untillwe all get a bit more mature

But new projects are a big risk. I prefer not to lose money.

In my opinion, the ICO project can be built from the community. But maybe it will need hard work. As long as the project has a good concept, and the team can work together solidly, I'm sure the project will be successful.

@arendra. Yeah, everyone has the same opportunity to build an ICO project from the community. I believe that if the project is done seriously there will certainly be good results.

@ cryptoguard, that is a very difficult challenge. And requires everyone to work hard to achieve hardcap in a project. That's why the project concept must be truly unique and different from the others so that it can attract many investors to join the project.

very likely, basically the ICO project will create a new community. Projects need support to grow and that comes from members of the community who will help promote the loyalty of its members in that community.
