In the light several barriers and challenges posed by the traditional real estate models to potential real estate investors, Global Real Estate Investment Trusts (Global REIT), an alternative reliable investment vehicle seeks to mitigate the risks associated with real estate investment and provide sustainable solutions to overcome the challenges encountered by potential investors who want to simultaneously invest in real estate and earn regular dividends or investors who seek to exit into a liquid market anchored by cryptocurrency.

Global Real Estate Investment Trusts (Global REIT) is the first ever Blockchain based Sharia-compliant REIT to be launched in the market that owns or finances income producing real estate. It is basically a platform for diversifying a long-term real estate investment portfolio. A closer look at Global REIT road map on page 9 of Global REIT whitepaper, shows that, it is set to commence a Pre- ICO phase in May 2018, which will last for the entire month and end on the 31st of May 2018. Its Public ICO is also set to commence in June 2018 and end on the 31st of June 2018.

With the aim of making each subscriber obtain shares in both the Fund Management Company returns and the Asset Owning Company returns, Global REIT is set to offer Dual Utility tokens to its subscribers during its official ICOs. The first token is the Global REIT Fund Manager Token (GREM) and the second Global REIT Asset Token (GRET). Hence to subscribe to each token, subscribers can use can use either Ethereum (ERC-20), Bitcoin (BTC) or Fiat Currencies to obtain tokens and in return, the dividends will be paid in USD and USDT (Tether).

According to Global REIT, the token holders of GREM and GRET will get future access to all Assets Under Management (AUM) of Global REIT. Hence regarding the Hospitality Assets, Global REIT says that token holders with a minimum of 5,000 tokens of GRET or GREM can avail free stays every year.

Also, reward points will be offered to customers in the Loyalty Programs attached with its AUM and these points according to Global REIT can be used to avail free services up to a certain limit.

Furthermore, according to Global REIT, subscribers with a minimum of 100,000 GREM token will also have an option to sell their real estate assets to Global REIT and enter the liquid market in crypto domain.
