Linus Torvalds writes on the Linux kernel: I am Satoshi

The charismatic Linus Torvalds has done it again, he has made people talk about him again. This time, the well known software engineer has written in one of the latest Linux kernel updates that he is Satoshi Nakamoto, leaving everyone not knowing what to say. Besides this charismatic Linus Torvalds, there has been so many people from different time since 2017 that claimed to be Satoshi Nakamota, mr Linus Torvalds case is not a new case. In addition, I think so many people want to used the name "satashi Nakamota" as way to seek attention from the public or to be a very popular person.

Craig Wright has nothing to do with Torvalds, but both of them have the same identity, they are Faketoshi. I don't know why these popular people want to ruin their reputation by claiming as a Satoshi. Although they want to take people's attention, I think there are too many other ways that deserve to try. Claiming as a Satoshi will be useless because people know if Satoshi won't do it. Real Satoshi knows well about the risks when he introduces himself.

Torvalds may have a big ego, but he's not stupid. I think the only thing he has done by putting that line of code is trolling, he knows that people will not take his statements seriously without any hard evidence. Anyway, if I had to choose between believing Torvalds or Craig, I would definitely choose Torvalds, he knows what he does with a computer, Craig has no idea as he supposedly "lost" the private keys to their wallets, which I always made laugh after that, he kept declaring that he was Satoshi.

I am sure Linus Torvalds is just kidding maybe to make himself on the news in the world of the blockchain and cryptocurrency. While there has a list of people claiming to be the real Satoshi Nakamoto, we know that nobody knows who and where is the real guy. And to me it does not if we don't have the real Satoshi Nakamoto surfacing...what is important is that we have the blockchain technology and Bitcoin right now, functioning as it should be and getting an expanding adoption everywhere.

I don’t know how true this is, but I think that he just wanted to hype on the name of Satoshi, because it will not be difficult for any programmer who knows the basics of programming to repeat everything that Linus Torvalds did. I see no reason to think that this programmer is Satoshi.

You should not even respond to such statements. Satoshi Nakamoto himself classified his identity and over the past 13 years has not changed his mind. He, I think, did not have any reason to make his identity public, but if he wants to do this, then at the same time he will give strong evidence that he is Satoshi Nakamoto.

It could be pretty cool if Satoshi revealed him or herself (or themselves, who knows, it could be more than one person), but I will believe it when I see some proof.

We are always curious about Satoshi's true identity, although I do not want this information to be made public because it will have a negative impact on the market. If Linus is Satoshi, he will need a lot of evidence to confirm it, Craig will probably sue Linus for this.

Considering Torvald's personality, I'm pretty sure it's not Satoshi. Torvalds has always liked to draw media attention, something Satoshi would never do. I think he's just playing around and seeing how the community reacts, and possibly also doing it to see what statements are made by all the people who have so far claimed to be the real Satoshi. If Torvalds were the real Satoshi, I think the Linux kernel would be full of references, and so far no one has seen anything.

Torvalds surely has all the ability to create Bitcoin, but I don't think he is Satoshi. Why would he bother to use a pseudonym? Also, Torvalds already denied the claim:

Still, Torvalds added, "The 'any other' might not be entirely true - it may be that GitHub only shares objects between repositories that are related. So maybe the jokester needed to start his repository as a clone of mine to get the required object sharing - I haven't checked."

In any case, Torvalds is not Nakamoto.

Satoshi's identity is still a mystery, if he/she/they are still alive and have the private key, that's the scary part since he/she/they can tank the market in a second.

Although Satoshi may still have the private keys of the first wallets (some say he lost them), he will not move a single Bitcoin. He knows that if he does, a lot of people will be waiting and he will probably have a lot of problems, similar to what Edward Snowden has, or worse. The institutions that regulate the markets, the security agencies, the banks and the world corporations, all would go against Satoshi, the best thing for his security is that we never know his identity.
