I get what you're saying about Bitcoin being the first cryptocurrency and how it's really popular. But when it comes to payment gateways, I think Ethereum has some good things going for it too.Ethereum can do more than just exchange money. It has something called smart contracts that let people create apps and do different kinds of transactions. Plus, Ethereum's network is known for being able to handle a lot of transactions quickly, which is better than Bitcoin.So, even though Bitcoin has its own good points, Ethereum has some special features that make it a strong competitor in the world of altcoins.

You may have a point there, Bitcoin is indeed considered the father of all cryptos, Hence giving it an advantage over other assets, but for Ethereum to have attained such a height shows that it is an incredibly amazing token with a solid framework. Just like Bitcoin, Ethereum has survived crazy dips and has always bounce back. So yeah Ethereum is a solid on and worth choosing over Bitcoin.

All I can say about the transaction fees is way too high right now and both coins has it. The two coins runs on two different networks therefore they differ each others functions and purpose of existence.

I think the fact that Ethereum has several iterations already and they have one of the biggest community, then it's up with Bitcoin as the top coins or others might consider it as better crypto.

Although the argument for bitcoin right now is that it has become centralized.

And then the fees, both gas and transaction fees are so high that it could be another big issues they will have to face when we goes on a bull run next year.

Yes, transaction fees are always a problem with both coins.  too expensive. 
Even though Ethereum and Bitcoin run on different networks, the fees are equally expensive. 
Does their  #DevelopmentTeam   not have the desire to reduce their transaction fees?
really annoying..
Because many networks are much cheaper like BSC, etc
Hopefully Ethereum , especially will have good way to fix this problem.

Ethereum will never be able to surpass Bitcoin, the price is already very far apart and of course the supply it has is also very different, Ethereum has to lock supply and there is no more opportunity to create Ethereum again so that will give other people the opportunity to have Ethereum and will increase the price and quality of Ethereum which may compete with Bitcoin.

People are interested in bitcoin as its the firsts cryptocurrency...people are more aware about the bitcoin as its in the market since 2008...give some time to etherium and it will reach at the same height the bitcoin is right now 

Etherium cannot reach the same height as bitcoin. Giving etherium some time it will reach to bitcoin, no way. Since the existence of etherium, the price would have at least reach up to half of bitcoin. But it has not. That means whatever time you give to it, the price cannot exceed bitcoin.

For me Ethereum is the unique coin at the highest level there is. Compact coin with huge network functions that is still in safe usage from day one. In all other ways Ethereum pass bitcoin but not in value price. Lets see what will be in next 10 years for these two coins and its rank in crypto world. Either way, profits can be make from Ethereum no matter in what it is phase - bull run or bear.
