EOS ist one project I closely monitor. Very promising. I must say that I do not like the way they designed their token sale from an investor's point of view. I think in a year or so EOS will give platforms like NEO and Waves a run for their money. But of course the team will have to prove themselves and deliver as promised.

The EOS price is starting up trend for couples months later because the EOS blockchain will be launched by all of community on june 1st 2018, so today is still cheap to buy EOS token.

Please note that even though all seems like EOS will have a smooth sail launch, however, consider the following and conclude to HODL or Sell:

1. BlockOne is only creating an opensource software called EOS.IO

2. EOS will be a utility token that will be used on the EOS.IO network (software) for computational space, bandwidth and storage

3. BlockOne are not responsible for launching this software. They are only responsible for taking a snapshot of your EOS-ERC 20 token balance

4. Between June 1st and 3rd, 2018, all tokens will be frozen and ready for the snapshot stated in 3 above.

5. The block producers are responsible for launching the EOS.IO, based on the snapshot by BlockOne.
AND
*There is no guarantee that the Block producers will successfully launch the network.*

6. There maybe multiple competing chains released, depending on how many block producers take off the snapshot by BlockOne

7. Your EOS ERC 20 tokens will show up on as many chains that secures the 15% votes to go Live.
*This means, if all goes well, you may end up with your balance replicating in many chain. Like Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash and other forks of Bitcoin that we got just for holding Bitcoin. Free Money!!!*

8. The longest chain will eventually be the most valuable, just like Ethereum is more valuable than Ethereum Classic.

Summarily, you either take risk stated in 5 above, and reap benefits stated in 7 above....

OR

You sell ALL your EOS on or before the last day in May, 2018.

If you must proceed to HODL, please ensure you register your ERC20 public address on the EOS.IO public address on the website.

Otherwise, you may loose it all.

at the appearance of bitcoin, it already had programming capabilities, but not so wide. Then came Ethereum with their turing-full smart contracts, and new amazing opportunities opened up. EOS is the next step that opens up new horizons that arent always immediately obvious even to those who are familiar with Ethereum.

In general, I am very positive about the EOS coin and consider it one of the most promising coins to date. This is an almost improved copy of ethereum, a coin of a new generation of crypto currency. But how it will turn out in practice, we can see only after a certain time. Now the team has some difficulties, including the wallet for EOS, but they are all temporary. Now EOS is one of the top ten coins in terms of capitalization.

In any case, this race is beneficial to all

You are right bitcoin served almost long time in the industry but EOS come with new solutions on the first and third generation of blockchain (bitcoin and ethereum) EOS offer scaling problem and transaction processing to be more fast than another cryptocurrencies, although it still come true just give time for development of EOS to proof it.

Proposal: RAM market an other On-Chain resource markets form the backing to an EOS Stable Coin.

The EOS Ram market, indeed the generalized on-chain resource markets, are a unique feature to EOS and as tricky as they are proving to be in the short term, they have enormous power and potential.
He wrote this article a little while ago, part two was waiting for the launch of EOS and the stabilization of the resource markets to better understand how it would work in practice. The idea however is that we can use on-chain resource markets, such as RAM trading, to allow for the creation of a Stable Coin backed by the properties of the blockchain itself.
He propose that we investigate the creation of an EOS Stable Coin, backed by it's own internal resource markets.

Yes even right now the speed of processing transaction per second on EOS is more fast than ethereum's platform, we can be checked on here https://blocktivity.info/ although many users which doesn't know about the benefits of EOS, but in my mind it has good potential in the future to be more sucessfull than ethereum.

EOS coin is a good coin to invest as this will have a brighter future and has the potential to be more popular by this year. This coin is still good to hold for a longer term of investment.

Should we don't care about is EOS will kill ethereum or not, the most important EOS has good chance to getting more expensive in the future, we are an investor in cryptocurrencies and we are not killer, just find good coins for the future.

Referendum voting is coming!  This is fundamentally one of the most important features for the EOS Blockchain. It is up to the community to spread the word about what Referendum voting is and how to participate in it. Like the mainnet launch, we need 15% voting participation to pass a referendum proposal with 10% more YES than NO votes. This is no easy feat, and will only be achieved by education and awareness. We have been working away with the referendum contract team to bring you EOSvotes.io - a non-branded voting portal to achieve this type of widespread adoption.

You may ask - what library and tools you should use? But the EOS technology ecosystem is continually changing. Other courses and teachers may promise to teach you to use dozens of different libraries. What they fail to mention is that every library you use with EOS breaks and is depreciated almost weekly. What you will learn here instead is how to create your own boilerplate package, how to develop and compile and test smart contracts. When you know the core of this technology, you will be able to adjust to an ever-changing environment that the constant innovation in the world of Blockchain provides.

Block.one introduced a new version of the EOS-1.3.0 software.

The developers noted the growing stream of feedback on GitHub, through which they can improve the technical component of the protocol in accordance with the needs of users. The software will be updated every second Tuesday of all subsequent months.
The team also decided to share regular reports that would keep the project community informed of the matter.

In EOSIO V1.2.0, the main attention was paid to reducing the installation time of the node and accelerating synchronization of the block. In the new version, the vector of development is preserved: the developers have implemented a solution for facilitating the validation of blocks from trusted producers.

The existing backend was replaced by a number of tools based on the WebAssembly standard. The developers expect that EOSIO-based block libraries will be able to increase the efficiency of each microsecond of transaction processing.

Also Block.one reported that in subsequent releases the utility eosiocpp for writing smart contracts of decentralized applications will be gradually eliminated. So, already in 1.3.0 an alternative is presented in the form of EOSIO.CDT with the support of programming languages Gnu and C ++.

Crypto currency costs

Of course, users have been waiting for updates: Crypto currencies have risen sharply in prices and reached the top five of the world's crypto currencies. Not long ago, the hedge fund "Multicoin Capital" published a detailed analysis of the project, which took page 29. It is hoped that, at best, crypto currencies in the future will be eliminated

EOSWebWallet is now available for the public use.

The wallet allows you to send any tokens and interact with smart contracts.

To ensure high security of user’s funds and protection against hackers, developers store only the HTML and JavaScript version on the server. In this case, transactions are signed by the user's browser, without sending personal data and private keys to a third-party server.

Other features of the wallet:

The ability to view information about any EOS network account, create rules for managing account settings, support smart contracts and actions in EOS blockchain, integrate with browser plug-ins and user keys, there is no need to enter user keys on each page, the wallet does not receive or store information about users, it is possible to work with both mainnet and Jungle test network.

In the future, integration with Ledger Wallet and other hardware wallets is expected.

Aim to serve the EOS Token holders via helping them to right away track their crypto coin balances with Wallet For EOS 3. Unlike the conventional platforms widely available online, that enables with access to EOS account balance (main EOS coin), Wallet For EOS comes with an exclusive function of managing the end user’s custom tokens in EOS platform.

Wallet For EOS is exclusively crafted for knowing the balance of your custom tokens built in EOS platform. End users can easily access to their crypto token balance by entering their token contract name and account name. Wallet For EOS is flawless, extensive and encompassing with all essential particulars.

One can seamlessly track the details pertaining to resource information like RAM and Bandwidth. Wallet For EOS gives account info like EOS, RAM (used/quota) and Bandwidth( CPU and NET bandwidth). It shows the status of both delegated and staked bandwidth to know the current status of the user.

Secondly, the platform gives the glimpse of the token holder displaying his account information; the main token balance, his/her current holdings with respect to total supply and also provides with a visual display on the percentage of ownership acquired by the token holder.

EOS ist one project I closely monitor. Very promising. I must say that I do not like the way they designed their token sale from an investor's point of view. I think in a year or so EOS will give platforms like NEO and Waves a run for their money. But of course the team will have to prove themselves and deliver as promised.
Wondering what the Hivemind here thinks os EOS at this point?  The price is below the initial ICO price of .80 cents ... so the market seems cool on it.  However, Laramir's scalability vision seems pretty legit to me -- and ETH seems lost in the woods on scalability.  What you all think?

Idea was to build the same API as was for history plugin. So if you will not do changes in projects and use same API as before - this mongo API is for you..

Documentation: https://history.cryptolions.io/
You can search histroy by accounts and filter by actions. skip records and set limits..

I think it is still worth to consider investing in EOS. I'm not an expert but the popularity of this coin is growing - which means that the price can increase. There are lot of people who state that EOS is a new ETH and please remember that few months ago ETH was advertised as a new BTC. However, I first heard about the EOS when it was introduced on the CoinDeal platform - a few information about the coin itself is in this article https://coindeal.com/news/EOS-available-on-CoinDeal-But-check-the-surprise

EOS is a good coin. Because EOS has its own blockbuster, it can make transactions very easily. Now it is at position 4 in the market, so it means that it is a strong coin. I think it's working to be more powerful and it can be worth more than $ 50 in the future.

EOSJS Major Update V20.0.0 Beta: Entrusting key management to signature providers for a more secure future of javascript development for EOSIO

Since release of the EOSIO software platform in June, EOSJS has been the most well-received community-driven library for connecting your frontend application with an EOSIO blockchain. With more than 65,000 downloads of the npm package and widespread utilization across many great EOSIO-based projects, it’s fair to say the first iterations of EOSJS have been a success. This was due to the hard work of many well-known members of the community, like James Calfee, whom we are excited to have worked closely with through the initial release of EOSIO. https://medium.com/eosio/eosjs-major-update-v20-0-0-c06829738579

It would appear things are heating up in the world of EOS dApps. In fact, the dApp ecosystem of this project appears to be vastly more popular than Ethereum’s primarily because of the gambling solutions being in high demand right now. The following six EOS applications provided to be the most popular over the past week based on their total volume.

As EOS one of the top ranked Altcoins in the market then i could say EOS is very promising too and also has the potential to make your money to grow. In fact this Altcoin is number 1 in China Crypto market that it superseded Bitcoin in which we can see that this coin is very promising too. Its just happen that we are still affected by the bearish market that is why most of the Cryptos are affected now including EOS.

EOS.IO is a blockchain protocol powered by the native cryptocurrency EOS. The protocol emulates most of the attributes of a real computer including hardware (CPU(s) & GPU(s) for processing, local/RAM memory, hard-disk storage) with the computing resources distributed equally among EOS cryptocurrency holders. EOSIO operates as a smart contract platform and decentralized operating system intended for the deployment of industrial-scale decentralized applications through a decentralized autonomous corporation model. The smart contract platform claims to eliminate transaction fees and also conduct millions of transactions per second.

Here is the latest updating of EOS community

Would you like to be a mentor at the upcoming EOS Hackathon in San Francisco?

Mentors will be required to be in San Francisco from Thursday November 8th at 12PM and will leave either Sunday Night or Monday November 12th if you prefer. There is a mentor workshop most of the day on Thursday followed by mentor's welcome dinner.  Friday will be a walkthrough of the venue.  You'll have some time to explore San Francisco (if you're from out of town) both days as well as Monday before you leave. Â Saturday and Sunday expect to be at the hackathon working with teams for majority of the day.
Along with getting to be a part of an amazing event and meeting members of the community, we're also taking care of travel and hotel expenses for all mentors so you can be nearby the venue and networking with everyone involved.
Also, take a look at our Hong Kong Hackathon Recap Video, they expect SF to be even bigger!

Please fill out the form at https://eoshackathon.io/mentors/
Please keep in mind that they will be giving priority to people coming from USA/Canada.
Next steps if you are selected will be sending over a mentor agreement for you to sign and then our travel agent will book your flight and hotel if you are coming from out of town.
They hope you had a chance to check out the Hackathon Mentor Video, read through the obligation to mentor, and some of the qualifications we're looking for on the hackathon site.
In general as a mentor, you will be expected to be on site at the hackathon working with teams at the event through issues they have working on their projects. This includes existing familiarity with the EOSIO platform, smart contract development, eosjs, and other general development issues teams may have.
They will be providing a mentor schedule and assign mentors to groups of teams so you will have an opportunity to work with multiple teams throughout the weekend.

The main native token, EOS, is a utility token that provides both bandwidth and storage on the blockchain, in proportion to total stake (owning 1% of EOS tokens allows for usage of up to 1% of the total available bandwidth). EOS tokens also allow the owner to cast votes and participate in the on-chain governance of the blockchain, again in proportion to the owner's stake.

There are over 100 live Dapps on the EOS mainnet, and that number is growing EVERY DAY.

The EOSIO software was developed by block.one CTO Dan Larimer with the goal of creating a functional base software that apps could be built upon. Five months after the EOSIO mainnet launch, it’s safe to say that Larimer has accomplished his goal.
You can check more about the dapps on EOS platform on the link below https://www.stateofthedapps.com/ you can learn more about them, hopefully it will gives you good information about the dapps on EOS platform.

Hi @densuj, thank you for your kind reply and explanation. If you want to get more knowledge about the FTO here is their website (https://futurocoin.com/) but to put it in to a nutshell: FTO is a new kind of cryptocurrency. It was developed using Dash technology and, just like Bitcoin, it uses a p2p system. Futurocoin uses nodes too, but it also adds the so called Masternodes, which improve its process’ efficience. What’s more, with Bitcoin you have to await the transaction confirmation, which usually takes some minutes. Futurocoin has conceived a faster confirmation, which only needs 4 seconds. And seems like the FTO do not use this technology of dapps, as it looks like is developed directly for EOS.

EOS, the second most used blockchain for Smart Contracts recently announced the release of a new protocol built on top of its blockchain that improves support for developers.

EOS started from an ERC-20 Smart contract on the Ethereum network which allowed to distribute the native currency for the EOS Blockchain even before it was developed. EOS has been called by many as the “Ethereum Killer,” but these last six months the project has been inflicted with a lot of problems which resulted in numerous hacks and exploits of various EOS dapps.

The EOS mainnet was officially launched in June 2018 and today is the fiercest Ethereum blockchain competitor.  Despite the project seen significant development and evolution in the last six months but unfortunately, it also had a serious of troubles that made the #DevelopmentTeam  rethink the project.

There is an emergency bugfix that just rolled out.
It is important that you update your Scatter Desktop immediately.

https://github.com/GetScatter/ScatterDesktop/releases/tag/9.6.1

Once the downloads for the bugfix version reach sufficient numbers they will issue a statement about exactly why, but until then they can't give out any specifics as this is a vulnerability patch.

The vulnerability was brought to their attention by a whitehat (who is working with Team Greymass on an initiative to keep the entire EOS ecosystem safe) an hour ago, and was patched immediately.

EOS performance is splendid, it is a blockchain platform for the development of decentralized applications (dapps), similar to Ethereum in function. It makes dapp development easy by providing an operating-system-like set of services and functions that dapps can make use of. Check this Dapp Market Report, they aim to provide a complete operating system for decentralized applications.

Why 15% Token Participation is Irrelevant

Recently, EOS New York published an article explaining their thoughts about the 15% threshold for Referendum Proposals.

According to the EOS constitution, a referendum needs no less than 15% vote participation among tokens to pass. In their article, EOS New York highlighted two main issues with the 15% threshold.

1. EOS token holders can shift their votes towards BPs that support the proposal. In this case the referendum would pass even if the 15% threshold is not met

2. ‘No’ voters are not incentivized to vote, as a ‘no’ vote could contribute to the success of a proposal rather than impeding it.

Over 50% of EOS dApps are used everyday.

According to a research published on LongHash, almost 55% of EOS dApps are used every day compared to just 10% of ETH dApps.

The most popular EOS dApp has around 450,000 transactions about twice compared to the most popular ETH dApp. However the use of EOS dApps seems still low. Only 4.5% of active dApps have more than 2,000 users and 50% have less than 100 users per day.

The real pace of development of EOSIO.

Recently Yahoo Finance published an article in which they state that EOSIO has considerably reduced its number of commits on Github. It passed from more than 4,000 commits in the past 12 months to only 114 in the last three months. The community already knows how unreliable Github data is for analyzing EOS development, most of the software updates promoted by Block. One are not done publicly.

The Scatter team responded to this article with a post on Reddit and Medium, in which they made clear the current status of EOSIO development.

"There have been over 600 commits on EOSIO repositories over the past month alone. EOSIO/eos was split into multiple repositories to create better separation of concerns and more maintainable code."

vElemental Battles, DAPP Network showing its potential.

The LiquidApps team released a new article on Medium, where they analyze how an EOS dApp can be improved, in particular by reducing costs and enhancing user experience, through the DAPP Network.

How the DAPP Network can be used:
- Register application front-end on IPFS
- Minimize the amount of RAM required by a dApp

"By allowing dApps to store their data sets permanently on IPFS nodes hosted by DSPs and turn RAM into a lightweight cache layer, vRAM empowers gaming developers to create a new generation of scalable applications on the blockchain. As demonstrated by vElemental Battles"

Driving Open-Source Development: Ledger App for EOS.

EOS New York announced their direct support for the development of the EOS ledger app. The last Github pull request of the app took place on December 7 and the application recently had compatibility issues with Chrome, which have now been resolved.

EOS New York noticed the growing fragility of this important tool for the community, and for this reason it intends to evolve the Ledger application for EOS in a semi-structured framework by doing the following:

 - Raise community awareness
 - Make it easy to contribute
 - Create a stable release cycle and relationship with Ledger

In addition to that, they have hired a paid consultant who has deep experience with Ledger apps. They directed their consultant to set up a test pipeline which allows developers to easily generate compiled binaries from a pull request.

A look into eosfinex.

The eosfinex team released a new article that goes through the eosfinex architecture. Eosfinex is the industry’s first fully on-chain, fully transparent and scalable exchange built with EOSIO.

Eosfinex is composed of the following components:
 - Order books
 - Order matching
 - Custody and settlement

The exchange contract will initially run on a sidechain using EOX as the system token. Customers can interface with the exchange directly through the EOS blockchain, or by using a custom eosfinex nodeos plugin. Token transfers between the sidechain and main chain will be synchronized using two gateway contracts — one on each chain.

Future developments may include the increase in the number of sidechain BPs and/or launching on the EOS mainnet, along with margin capabilities.

The beta will operate as a ‘Paper Trade’ environment, providing users with the chance to experiment with eosfinex in a simulated ecosystem whilst earning rewards through providing platform feedback.

The Challenge to EOS Virality.

The LiquidApps team released an article on Medium clearly explaining the reason that hold back EOS from virality: on boarding new users on EOS. According to the team, the DAPP Network could potentially alleviate this issue, rolling out the red carpet for new EOS users. The DAPP Network is a set of technical solutions developed by LiquidApps, committed to scaling the EOS blockchain.

"Creating a simple and seamless onboarding experience is crucial in the quest to ingrain a new technology into the mainstream psyche. Yes tons of updating of EOS blockchain one of them is here.
Introducing EOSIO Labs™: A Place for Open Innovation.

Block. One announced the EOSIO Labs initiative, through which Block. One's innovations and discoveries will be shared with all developers. In this way, the community will be free to get their hands on these open source repositories and release their own products. Block.one’s continued contributions and involvement will depend on wider community adoption of such projects.

The Universal Authenticator Library (UAL) is the "first in a series of repos" shared on EOSIO Labs™. The purpose of UAL is to simplify, for App Developers, supporting multiple authentication providers. This is possible by abstracting the internal business logic of many authentication providers and exposing a single universal API.

Benefits:
• For developers:
   - Simple way to support multiple key managers
   - Increases an application’s market reach
   - Reduces time to create applications,
   - Access to all the necessary functions to sign transactions
• For users:
   - Login to integrating apps using the authenticator of choice
   - Uniform login option that instills confidence while using dApps

Digital Assets — we need to think about “Ownership Authority”.

The CryptoLions team published a post on Medium in which they clarifies the definition of Digital Asset. CryptoLions is a EOS Block Producer candidate currently involved in the development of Simple Assets. According to the article, there are 4 different levels of a Digital Asset:

  - Level 1: digital information that the user control inside a game or an application
  - Level 2: ... the ownership can be verified on a blockchain
  - Level 3: ... the controls adhere to a broadly accepted protocol
  - Level 4: ... the ownership is outside the control of the asset creator

"Simple Assets started with the idea that a digital asset is a promise from the asset creator to not only the first owner of that asset, but to the entire community of possible owners."

Why should you build on EOS?.

Satya Avala recenlty published an article on Venturebeat, where he goes through 5 key reason that led them to choose EOS. Satya Avala is the co-founder and CTO of Ampersand Markets and former director of engineering at Yahoo Finance.

 1. EOS’ ability to execute more transactions per second than Ethereum
 2. EOS’ design means we can scale our platform with no impact to users
 3. EOS provides an extremely robust permissions and governance structure
 4. Transaction costs on the EOS blockchain are much cheaper than on Ethereum
 5. Smart contract development in EOS is done using C++

"We also believe these are the reasons EOS will be the foundation for the financial markets of the future. Its design is well-suited for the growth and sophistication of such a market, and we are confident in its ability to support our own design."

EOS Canada published an article clarifying the role of the EUA and outlining their recent Referendum votes.

"The EOS User Agreement should not be seen as new rules, rather just as a clarification for what has always existed. Within the EOSIO source code that was put out by Block.one existed one global feature that had the ability to affect every aspect of the chain, 15 of 21 Block Producers can approve a change on the network."

Passwordless future. Future modern solution for authentication systems.

In the latest article published by Block. One, they explore what are the issues currently posed by passwords, and how they can be solved in the near future.

Problems:
 - Hearsay Problem: any info received from one party about the actions of a second party that can't be substantiated.
 - Blank Check Problem: take action on behalf of the user without the user's consent.
 - Password weaknesses

Block. One proposed a new solution to move beyond passwords problems: the concept of "passes" and the digital "Pass Manager". A Pass is a conceptual abstraction that encapsulates credential info (keys). Through Passes and Pass Managers, users can easily prove their identity just like the physical analog of pass cards.

"The user simply arrives at a service (whether it is a web app, a native app, a point of sale system, or a kiosk), and presents a pass to sign in or authorize an action. This is like a college student using their College ID to gain admission to a collegiate sports event".

What is necessary to make Pass Managers successful?
 - Interoperability
 - Portability
 - Usability
 - Safety

EOS Mainnet Extensions, new EOSIO enhancement proposal.

Some members of EOS Canada recently proposed a model sidechain model: EOS Mainnet Extension Chains. EOS Mainnet Extensions are side-chains of the EOS Mainnet which share user accounts with the Mainnet by means of an account-synchronizing Oracle. Through this solution it will be possible to scale horizontally the mainnet, allowing greater flexibility of resources and maintaining the same user base.

Key Aspects of this Proposal
 1. it is impossible to create an account on the Extension chain
 2. all account creations are done by synchronizing accounts existing on the EOS Mainnet (including changes in authority)
 3. resources would be managed by the BPs of the Extension network
 4. these BPs merely operate the network
 5. the Extension network does not have its own token, and BPs are paid directly on the EOS Mainnet through a corresponding contract.
 6. each chain Extension is free to experiment with governance, and the provided services

Furthermore is "static", meaning that it doesn't modify with the framework. In other words, it is developed to work alone and to not interface with other blockchains.

Pay2Key: Everipedia EOSIO UTXO solution, send tokens to Public Keys.

The Everipedia IQ team and Decentral Bank recently announced the release of Pay2Key, the first UTXO solution for EOSIO chains. Through the Pay2Key contract, users will be allowed to transfer tokens between EOS public keys, without ant EOS account required to hold tokens and transfer them.

This system is very similar to the Bitcoin system, to receive tokens users only need the corresponding private key to the public key while a transaction fee is paid to move the token. The fee is paid to a relayer, who receives the transaction request and then sends it out. Any EOS account can earn transaction fees by becoming a UTXO relayer.

"The IQ token is the first token to make use of this technology. Users can send their IQ tokens to the iqutxoiqutxo EOS mainnet account and create IQ UTXO tokens to transfer between public keys."

MEET.ONE has released the 4% inflation removal EOS code change on Github.

The MEET.ONE team released the 4% inflation removal EOS code change on Github. Through this proposal, the EOS inflation rate will be reduced from 5% to 1% used only for rewarding BPs. The code is currently in community review stage, after a successful review it will get submitted on-chain for the BPs approval.

This proposal makes three changes to the EOS system:
 1. Change the system parameter continuous_rate to 0.00995
 2. Change the 5% inflation rate to 1%
 3. Stop the transfer of EOS tokens to eosio.saving account

EOSIO Labs™ Release: The Assert Manifest Security Model.

Block. One recently explained new concepts for EOSIO Labs, regarding the increase in user confidence when signing transactions on blockchain applications. EOSIO Labs is a new initiative through which Block. One's innovations and discoveries will be shared with all developers. In this way, the community will be free to get their hands on these open source repositories and release their own products.

In their latest article they expanded on the ideas of EOSIO Manifests, Assert Contracts, and the Security Model.

• EOSIO Manifests: help validate the source of the application, answering the “who do you legitimately represent?” question.
• Assert Contract:  provides assurance that the transactions being posted by the application are legitimate by validating transaction contents.
• Security Model: The EOSIO Manifest and the Assert Contract work together with conforming authenticators that have the ability to display the Ricardian contracts to solve the who and what problems

Benefits:
"Enables trusted authenticators to be excellent custodians of users’ private keys and remain clearly delineated from application-specific actions while still enforcing a security model that provides additional assurances to the end user."

The Missing Piece to the EOS Incentive Model: A Proposal for Voter Incentivization Through Staking Rewards.

"Inflation is a tool which underpins the EOS incentive model. Currently, this incentive model only prioritizes Block Producers who are obviously vital for maintaining the blockchain. But the overall incentive model is still incomplete.

Voting is also a critical component of EOS. It is required to secure the network and choose block producers, but token-holders are incentivized to do neither. EOS New York proposes a dynamic staking reward to incentivize token-holders to vote in order to complete the EOS incentive model and help ensure its long-term health."

EOSIO™ Software Release: Native SDKs for Swift and Java.

Block. One released two new open source tools for EOSIO developments: native SDKs for Swift and Java, which aim to provide better support for native mobile applications built on EOSIO. These Software Development Kits (SDKs) provide native APIs for interacting with EOSIO blockchains, and by targeting both Java and Swift they will be available on Android and iOS.

"The core EOSIO SDK for Swift and EOSIO SDK for Java libraries are responsible for facilitating the transaction lifecycle. They provide developers with easy and idiomatic ways of creating and working with transactions, collecting the necessary signatures, and preparing and broadcasting those transactions to EOSIO nodes."

Within the core libraries, they released 3 signature providers:
 - Swift SDK, Vault Signature Provider
 - Swift SDK, Softkey Signature Provider
 - Java SDK, Softkey Signature Provider

The most notable between these three is the Vault Signature Provider, which allows for signing transactions using keys stored in Keychain or the device's Secure Enclave.

Block. One announced a new released for EOSIO Labs: EOSIO Explorer. EOSIO Explorer is a new web-based graphical user interface to improve the developer experience of interacting and monitoring EOSIO-based applications and networks in development. This tool helps developers reduce EOSIO app development time through a number of ways and makes EOSIO smart contract development more accessible.

Important: EOSIO Explorer is designed specifically to be a tool for local development. Therefore, numerous things must be kept in mind:

  1. Wallet keys used for this tool may be compromised if your machine is not properly secure. Keys for live wallets should not be used in EOSIO Explorer as the tool does not include appropriate security measures.
2 .The tool is not compatible with the EOSIO Mainnet or other public EOSIO-based blockchains
  3. Tools that do not match the versions listed in required tools or OSes not listed in the platform support list may cause issues

Configurable inflation to eosio.system contract.

The EOS Argentina team made a pull request to the eosio repository to have the token inflation rate set as a parameter. This update allows Block Producers to easily change the inflation rate without replacing the System Contract and hard code a different percentage. This is very useful for every EOSIO chain that would like to test different inflation rates.

The pull request has already been merged in the eosio repository by B1 and EOS Argentina already plan to propose it and test it on Kylin.

EOS42 proposed a referendum to replace the regproducer contract.

The EOS42 team proposed a referendum to replace the existing articles of regproducer with what they believe will unite the community in common interests, and bridge philosophical divides. The reproducer contract is the contract used to register a Block Producer candidate.

The EOS community can already vote for the new articles of reproducer through a referendum: https://eostitan.com/poll/regproducer1

The following articles will be replaced:
 1. The intent of regproducer
 2. Nomination
 3. Resignation and Removal for Inability to Perform Obligations.
 4. EOS Accounts
 5. Producer Key
 6. API Endpoints
 7. Execution time
 8. Ordering
 9. Random Rotation of Standbys
 10. Missing Two or More Rounds of Blocks
 11. Urgent Security Patches
 12. Disclosure of Entity and Server Information
 13. Establishes the penalty for unwillingness to comply with penalties

The WordProof Timestamp plugin is now available in the WordPress plugin repo.

The WordProof team recently added their Timestamp plugin to the Wordpress plugin repo. WordProof Timestamp is a new free plugin that bridges the WordPress and blockchain communities in an approachable, user-friendly way.

It gives users the ability to timestamp their posts and pages to demonstrate transparency and claim ownership of content. WordProof works with any EOSIO blockchain to create the timestamp and provides a custom certificate link with a frontend pop-up to display it.

“In five years from now, if you don’t timestamp your articles on the blockchain, you’re going to be considered a fraud.” – Brendan Blumer

EOSIO Labs Release: WebAuthn Example Web App for EOSIO YubiKey Support.

After the EOSIO 2 updates announced at B1June, Block. One released a a WebAuthn Example App to demonstrate how they intend to implement WebAuthn support for EOSIO.

"WebAuthn is a new World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standard accepted and pioneered globally by many major technology companies like Yubico, Google, and Microsoft, that enables secure authentication supported by all leading browsers and platforms."

via WebAuthn, users will have many more options to sign their transactions on the EOSIO blockchain. Indeed, it will be possible to use the newly announced EOSIO YubiKey and built-in platform authenticators like fingerprint sensors and other biometrics.

About the EOSIO YubiKey:
"Block.one and Yubico have partnered to offer hardware keys capable of securely and seamlessly signing transactions on EOSIO. This allows you to use a YubiKey for authentication and simply touch the device to sign a transaction. Because EOSIO 2.0+ supports signing transactions via the Web Authentication (WebAuthn) API supported by Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari, there’s no longer a need for browser plugins or external authenticator programs to use EOSIO based blockchain applications. EOSIO branded YubiKeys will be available soon."

Examining the current state of DPoS Networks.

EOS42 released a report analyzing the current status of DPoS networks. In the document they explore several blockchains that use on-chain voting as a primary. The report was produced for the purpose of raising
awareness of the impact caused by built-in base layer mechanisms that govern each of the examined blockchains.

The analysis is broken down into five parts:
 1. Assessing the current state of EOS
 2. Assessing the voter participation
 3. Distribution of votes
 4. Assessing the inflation rate
 5. Distribution of block rewards

Decentralizing in Spite of Pareto Principle, Dan's proposal for EOS voting system.

After the long discussions on how to improve the voting system on the EOS mainnet. Dan has recently published a new article that summarizes the concepts previously exposed on Telegram.

In the article Dan exposes the problems of every type of Consensus mechanisms arising from the Pareto principle, according to which 20% of people hold 80% of the wealth.

Precisely because of the Pareto principle, the Consensus mechanisms tend to centralize the control of a blockchain in the hands of a few. With his new proposal Dan wants to limit the influence of the Pareto principle, through Multiple Independent Pareto Distributions:

"Each Pareto distribution centralizes control into a few parties who have natural strengths; however, if you utilize multiple independent or ideally mutually exclusive measurements, then you can multiply the level of decentralization by the number of Pareto distributions."

How can Multiple Independent Pareto Distributions be implemented on the EOS mainnet?
 1. Giving RAM Voting Weight
 2. Giving Stake-Time Voting Weight
 3. Infinite Stake-Time Voting Weight
 4. Rewarding Non-Voting Users

Dan wants to divide the 21 producers into 4 categories:
  - 8 producers voted by EOS Staked^2
  - 8 producers voted by Days staked * EOS staked^2
  - 3 producers voted by RAM holders
  - 2 producers voted by (avg EOS burned / Day)

Dan's solution on how to Decentralize Governance.

Dan Larimer recently released a new article on his personal Medium page: "Decentralizing Governance". The article explains how past and current governance systems have been undermined by the Pareto principle. From strength-based governance, where those who managed to prevail over others ruled, to democracy, where good looks, propaganda and political strategy are the basis.

Random sampling could actually be a better way of governance as the majority of people are honest with good intentions. However most people don't won't to rule others, and this means that the result would still be biased toward the power-hungry and away from the leave-me-alone types.

So what's Dan's solution?

"the solution is to have a large number of competitive games that require a vast range of skills and/or genetic predisposition. [...] there should be 1000 different competitions requiring a diverse set of skills that no single group of the population can possess. [...] Once the best of the 1000 different fields are selected, governance would require 2/3 approval."

"The key to decentralization of governance is keeping it open to new people and avoiding creating barriers to entry that are biased toward any single minority."

This applies also to Blockchain's governance. If their governance system is entirely based on a single Proof-of-X metric, their model, through the Pareto principle, will surely become centralized.

Evolving EOS to the most Antifragile Blockchain with 1 token = 1 TYPE of vote.

Mark Stair published an article with a new proposal to improve the EOS voting system and to separate block production and governance.

According to Mark, block production and governance do not mutually inclusive. Block production is an operational process, we shouldn't care who makes the blocks as long as they do it properly. While governance should be more sensitive to token holders' votes.

Primary Proposal
 - 1 token provides 1 vote FOR or AGAINST a BP
 - Each token holder can decide what portion of their tokens vote
 - Each vote is committed and staked/locked for a specified time frame

Towards A More Equitable EOS Ecosystem.

LiquidEOS published a new article with two new proposals on how to improve the EOS BP voting ecosystem. According to the team, "The optimal voting mechanism would create equal opportunities for all BP candidates, allowing them to rise by virtue of their contributions to the EOS blockchain.".

With this view in mind, they presented the following proposals:

 - Creating a Free Market for Block Producers: each BP to choose how much of their share of rewards they wish to keep.

 - Adding a Voting Cap: cap the number of votes that the top BP can receive as a percentage of the number of votes received by some lower-ranked BP

Delegated Proof of Stake via Proof of Reinvestment.

BlockchainKid published an article with a new proposal to improve the EOS BP voting ecosystem. In the article he presented a governance overlay to Delegated Proof of Stake called “Proof of Reinvestment” or “PoRE”.

PoRE concept parameters:
 - Allocate a portion of inflation on a pro rata basis to all EOS accounts based on the number of staked EOS per account. “Universal Inflation Entitlement Rate” (or UIE Rate)
 - Enable customizable UIE Rates as an EOS account parameter.
 - Enable customizable Vote Power (VP) as an EOS account parameter.
 - Implement non-linear parameter adjustment once parameters have been set.

Implications:
 - EOS account holders are forced to trade off control and profit
 - Ability to affect network requires continued proof of reinvestment
 - An account holder must always be “pro-power” or “pro-profit”
 - The incentive to “flip-flop” parameters is mitigated through non-linear adjustment

"PoRE attempts to disrupt the relationship between power and profit by forcing network participants to choose one at the expense of the other. Under PoRE, to exert power power via voting, an account holder must continually “reinvest” in the network by forgoing income and subject themselves to loss of purchasing power over time."

EOS8 Index, a marketcap weighted index of EOS tokens.

marketcap.one recently announced EOS8 Index, a marketcap weighted index of EOS tokens. The index selects 8 of the top EOS-based tokens and it's designed to serve as a benchmark for EOS token performance.

Rules for inclusion are:
 - native token on the EOS blockchain
 - no stablecoin or pegged to other asset
 - marketcap of more than $1 million
 - traded on at least 3 exchanges
 - daily trading volume > $5,000

From these requests, the index has sorted the following 8 tokens: pEOS ($PEOS), Everipedia ($IQ), MEET.ONE($MEETONE), Paytomat ($PTI), LiquidApps ($DAPP), TokenPocket ($TPT), EDNNA ($EDNA) and DICE ($DICE).

You can track the performance of the Index at index.marketcap.one.

EOS "regproducer" contract activated by Colin Talks Crypto proxy.

The reproducer on-chain proposal was stagnated to 13/15 BPs approvals, and was near to the deadline. Through the colintcrypto proxy, Colin Talks Crypto managed to move the BPs ranking to allow 2 more BPs to be in the top 21 and get the proposal through. In this way the contract has been successfully approved and activated.

"This is a testament of the effectiveness, the efficaciousness of voting on EOS. Specifically voting for proxies because any singular would likely not have 7 million votes to do this"

Thank you Colin! And for every EOS token holder, be sure to cast your votes!

EOSIO Alpha Release: Android Keystore Plugin for the EOSIO SDK for Java.

Block. One released the new Android Keystore Plugin for the EOSIO SDK for Java. This alpha release allows developers to engineer a hardware-backed keystore into mobile applications on Android operating systems. If a hardware option is unavailable, the keys will default down to a secure software container environment.

"The intention is that no-one  can see the private key except the secured hardware, not even the user, once the keys are stored inside an Android device that supports the hardware-backed keystore. This hardware solution should offer superior security as opposed to alternatives like computer backups, password managers, or even a piece of paper."

EOSIO-lock, a free open source service provides temporary immutability to eos smart contracts.

EOSIO-LOCK recently announced their first service: ACCOUNT-LOCK. Through this service, EOSIO developers will be able to make their smart contracts temporarily immutable. In this way, users will still be guaranteed by the immutability of a smart contract, and at the same time will maintain the flexibility of smart contracts on EOSIO.

"During each one-month period the users can play on the dapp being reassured that the developer cannot change the code to his advantage and no trust would be required on this side. At the same time, the developer would have the possibility to regain control of his account at the end of each one-month period in order to fix and update the code."

Advanced EOSIO blockchain users may also take advantage of account-lock features in order to freeze their accounts/funds in a cold storage for a given period of time. The first ACCOUNT-LOCK prototype was developed on the accountlock1 EOS mainnet account.

Moran Proposal on Block Production Diversity.

Moran, cofounder of EOSwriter Chinese Site, recently suggested a new proposal on Block Production Diversity. The goal of this proposal is to achieve regional diversity on block production activity by separating current block producer reward into two components.

The proposal intends to choose Block Producers based on world's population allocation in percentage. This would result in the following regional distribution:

 #BPs  Region
 10.   Asia.
 2.   Africa.
 3.   European Union + Eastern Europe.
 3.   North America.
 2.   South America + Central America + The Caribbean.

EOS into congestion, REX is the largest DeFi project?

In the last 24 hours we have seen a huge reduction in the resources available on the EOS mainnet. This is because the network has entered its congestion state, and users can only use the resources to which they are entitled in proportion to the EOS tokens they staked. This time, however, there is no stress test, but it is a particular new token distribution that is causing a huge resource consumption.

Hello guys, how do you think about the EOS project in the future? For the early data you can check on their official website https://eos.io and the other source of information about EOS on here https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/eos/ and i will make updating about EOS activity on here. Thank you very much.

I guess the project has a great future. Yes, now EOS cost is far from the maximum values, but the same is true for most projects. This is the trend in the market. No wonder. But I am sure that this is a temporary phenomenon. There are disputes about this project and, of course, there are opponents. But I am inclined to the version of supporters. Here look, most of the reviews are positive - https://revain.org/projects/eos. I think most cannot be wrong. And in general, the project has already started long ago and the team is implementing many of its ideas.

Block. One New EOSIO Resource Allocation Proposal

Block. One recently published their new proposal for resource allocation in EOSIO chains.
