Yes, you are right, one of the mistakes I see the most is because they link their wallets to sites that are not clear, from there there are lots of cases of someone losing their money because hackers managed to hack them.

If we are airdrop hunters, then we should use a special wallet for that activity. We can create many wallets, the first is our main wallet which must be kept secure and the other is a wallet to hunt for airdrops and other things like that.

There are many ways you can keep your seed phrase safe.
At first don't store your seed phrase on any device that's is connected to the Internet. Like laptop or smartphone(to be safe from hackers) . Instead use a cold storage device, such as a hard ware wallet.

I don't go about clicking random links;
I don't go about connecting my wallet to websites;
I don't expose my seed phrase;
How easy or possibly is it that I will be hacked.
I think hackers are not spirits, the person they will eventually hack must have given them some clue on how to succeed. If we are careful, hacking will be made much more difficult to hackers.

With the steps you have given, this is indeed the right thing so as not to cause the wallet we have to be accessed by other people. Now there are lots of airdrop programs that force us to connect the wallet to a site even though they don't provide a phrase at the beginning, but there is a script that can be used. to bypass all of that, so you have to be careful when you want to connect your wallet to a site on the internet.

What the OP said is true. I personally avoid saving seed phrases in digital form. I prefer to write it on paper and store the paper in a safe and waterproof place. And I also copied the paper and saved it in two different places. And the most important thing is that no one else knows about our crypto holdings. Except for those we can trust, like a husband and wife who can trust each other. Or to our children who could be our heirs in the future.

Actually, there are many methods that can be done, in addition to storing on a piece of paper or a piece of anti-rust aluminum plate.

I keep my passphrase in a place that I think is safe and that my wife knows because I don't want only me to know.
When I can't open it, there are still people nearby who can access.

I agree what is said in original post. It is good to keep important information safe like words you need for your cryptocurrency wallet. It is better to focus on keeping it safe place other than make it easy to access. If you will keep this info on computer it can be easily stolen by hackers. But if you write it down on paper and keep it in safe place which you only know it is safer method. It is also good idea by the way to make two or more copies and keep them in different saf places in case one gets lost or forget about one place so you will be able to get it from other place. And ut is good to only share this info with trusted people to keep your money safe. By following these steps you can help yourself to keep your cryptocurrency investments safe in long term. People keep repeating methods how to store seep phrase as commandments, invent new hardware wallets, improve security measures all the time, come up with new methods to encrypt seed phrase, but still manage to lose money. Not matter how many times everything is repeated, how save and secure they are, they lose funds not because someone hacks them, but because they themselves do stupid mistakes.

I dont know how many more topics, posts, video and articles must be created, that will stop people from giving their crypto to criminals by themselves. Sometimes I think that the best secure and safest way to keep seed phrase is to leave it on most visible place.

Cold storage devices, or hardware wallets as it's often referred to, are used to store crypto coins, and not seed phrases or private keys, or maybe I am wrong, then I am ready to take corrections from another user that know better.

But over all, I agree with you @op, but then, I still believe that the safest way to store seed phrases is simply do write them down and keep somewhere safe, yeah, it might be in danger of water or fire destruction, but I believe this is why we are often adviced to make or create different copies of the same seed phrase and keep them in different places, so if paradventure, water or fire destroys one or two of the seed, we can fall back to the other backups.

Overall, seed phrases, private keys, are the number one things to give 100 percent attention to, for without them, we own no crypto, and if we hustle, gather alot of crypto for our future use, and someone, we let a possible scammer into our wallet seed phrase or private key, it simply means that all we have suffered to get, we might have suffered to get it for someone else.
So, yeah, it's of atmost important that we must keep safe, and protect our seed phrases, or private keys at all cost, employing different safety measures that are safe, to ensure that what is ours today, does not become someone else's tomorrow.

If you want to join airdrop, make sure you are not using your main wallet, the wallet that contains your big assets. Instead, you should make a new wallet for airdrop so that incase you are connected to a phishing site, only the wallet you use for airdrop is at risk. This is what the airdrop hunters do, and I think it's still helpful to those who are new to airdrop who are not aware of this stuff. In case, you are new and use a main wallet for airdrop then you accidentally connect to platform that turns to scam then you have to immediately disconnect your account to avoid losing your future rewards from airdrop.

There is this unpopular opinion I will like to share too. Never discard your seed phrase even after using selling or sending out the coins on the wallet because I have been a victim one time. The mistake I did was that I didn't save my private key to a wallet after selling the coin I have inside and then later someone who thought I still used the wallet sent me funds to that wallet and I didn't have access to that coin to date just because I didn't back it up after using the coin in the wallet address. I hope that one day I might be able to miraculously see it but I know that the funds in that wallet is as good as gone.
