Altcoins exists because they want to build their businesses and some altcoins created for scamming people like once the altcoins listed in the exchange and has a value, anytime it will down because the team will sold their all coins. Are you sure that the factor of making BTC up to and down because of the altcoins? I don't think so. We all know that BTC has its own value with its volatility. But it doesn't depend on Altcoin, not because of altcoins making the price up to and down. whereas, the altcoins always follow the movement of BTC.

The existence of altcoins is for sure because it is technology and altcoins include great technology and systems with various ideas. So, as long as the coins are not dead coins or shitcoins, I think that altcoins exist well.

In my opinion, on the contrary, what drives up and down altcoin prices is bitcoin, because bitcoin is the basis of cryptocurrency, most of the first altcoins appeared on the exchange market with bitcoin, so to exchange these altcoins you have to buy bitcoin first to buy altcoins,

Let me answer you about your question dude, Altcoins exist because there are investors who believed in it.
Remember when Bitcoin spikes its price in the market few of the altcoins that are on top also spiking and a majority of the
altcoins are dumping in the market as well, but when Bitcoin drop its price majority of the altcoin to increase.

Altcoins really need for Crypto market beacuse without altcoin ( Eth , ripple , TRX etc ) Crypto market didn't exist .
I didn't think their is altcoin before pumping and dumping of price of bitcoin , Bitcoin demand , it's remaining supply as well many factors who affect bitcoin price .

The existence of the altcoins can enhance the crypto world. There are many kinds of cryptos with very unique and new technologies in many more sectors.
Crypto then doesn't only become payment. There are also many chances for altcoins to ensure the holders with their technology, system, platform, and also their project-based real uses.
That is why, as long as the altcoins have value, they are worthy and can make the crypto world higher again. But of course, BTC is still number one.
