Currently, there will be big changes in the Altcoin forum because many people are moving from Bitcointalk to Altcointalk because there is a new policy from Theymos that restricts mixer users from conducting campaigns on Bitcointalk anymore.

The forum is a very nice place to interact and gain knowledge about bitcoin, altcoins and other life related knowledge and experience; the main aim is to unite people around the whole world in order to share useful information to help ourselves in many aspects especially cryptocurrency wise.

I'm also new here too, still managing to get use to the forum. So far things going well and I'm getting use to the forum.
I'm happy there's alot of people with good experience I can learn from in this forum.
And I agree with @Gormicsta  for someone that is seeking knowledge about altcoins, this is the right place to be.
All you got to do is to be active. 

Well the forum is not too hard to understand. The only thing you have to avoid is where to make comments and where not to make comments. Though there are plenty boards and sub-boards which might not found it from the other forum but the admin of this forum has changed some things to make it easy for users to navigate. I think he has brought some of the busy boards from the down side to the up so that users will see them easily. When you are about to post, just take your time to check where you are posting. Enjoy your stay here.

Moving? I think people don't move from bitcointalk to altcoinstalks, people only have more  crypto forums now. If they only focus on bitcointalk forum previously, they also focus on altcoinstalks forum nowadays. I think it is no problem if people will be active in some crypto forums, we are free to have many media to discuss about crypto.

Yep. Bitcointalk admin have decided to exclude Mixers promotion from the forum. It is their right to do it, I think we don't need to debate it. If it triggers many people join altcoinstalks, it is great that it will make altcoinstalks forum to be more active.

6 years is much and even close to a decade, so we should expect changes. I only registered here in 2021 and stopped using the forum few weeks after registration. Talking about changes, I don't think that many changes happened over the years. The big changes we are witnessing now happened just few weeks ago as orchestrated by the ban of mixers in the bitcointalk forum. I am very optimistic that before the end of 2024, there would be very much changes in this forum.

First you need to understand that the crypto market situation was very good in 2017 as the number of scam projects was low and most of the new projects were successful. Then there were a few years when crypto was downright bad and many investors retired with losses. But you have come back at a right time because in very short span of time we will see bull market in crypto market. So buy and hold good tokens without delay, maybe this year is going to be the best for you.

I think majority of us have heard or been here in this community, specially around 2018'ish. Because that's the time if I'm not mistaken, that this forum started to promote itself.

So we can say that welcome to us all again here.

And with some of the campaigns from the other forum has shifted here, we might see that it community will be lively again just like around that time frame and we will definitely see growth and traffic again.

This was you some years ago when Bitcoin was below $20,000 and you promised not to sell, I hope you are still holding or you have changed your mind. A lot must have really changed I think because Bitcoin was actually trading around $19,190 and then when it ticked $20,000, it crashed down all the way from that price to $4000, that must have shake a lot of people but if you have even buy more in that time to your bags, you should be sitting on wealth of bitcoin by this time as we headed for another $50k price discovery.

I think the forum has been the same, not much has happened but there was the integration of ATT token, altcointalk token, it is worth checking out but before you can get it, you need to be an active user to be able to convert your point to ATT and I guess there hasn't been much liquidity there as well but it is worth checking out as part of the progress of the forum.

There has been improvement on the forum as we have some mixers that now advertise here and keep the forum busy unlike when we don't have much campaigns to attract people, you need to keep yourself busy to rank up too.

Maybe we have to admit that it is not easy to hold against all odds and many circumstances. Just imagine the feeling that you were holding at 19k and waiting to sell at 20k and eventually everything crashes to 4k. That is a very big disappointment and this simply will make many people to lose hope and not intending to hold again and at worse scenario is to sell at lose.
But whoever was patient enough and has more funds to even buy more then will be sitting on wealth of bitcoin according to you. Whoever is buying bitcoin should be able to hold for many years.

You are actually a very old member; it's the same year that this forum started, which was the same year you registered. You have really enjoyed the benefits of the reward system back then.

If you have been active in other forums, I guess you don’t need anything to worry about much, as things are not much different from other forum rules and ways of doing things. All you have to do is stay active and positive, and you will have to adapt to the system.
