Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: No Bull Run in 2018?
« on: October 27, 2018, 12:06:10 AM »
Many HODLERS who have complete belief in Bitcoin continue to strategically shore up their positions buying the dips taking place in 2018.They can and we believe they will. This time they are a bit more savvy and will bring along their brother-in-law and friends from their golf group who missed the ride last time. When the price does begin to move north again (and it will) millions of people who dipped their toe in the waters last year will re-engage and bring millions of additional new users with them.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Can altcoins be independent?
« on: October 27, 2018, 12:04:08 AM »
It is impossible because Bitcoin for crypto is like USD for fiat currencies.Аn overwhelming majority of assets can only be exchanged for Bitcoin, they are directly dependent on the situational Bitcoin price. The majority of Blockchain projects and alternative digital currencies are in a one-sided dependency relationship with Bitcoin.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Long term investment vs. Hold
« on: October 27, 2018, 12:02:10 AM »
Investors have different styles of investing, but they can basically be divided into two camps: active management and passive management. Buy-and-hold strategies - in which the investor may use an active strategy to select securities or funds but then lock them in to hold them long term - are generally considered to be passive in nature.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Which is more high value? Btc or eth?

The simplest way for me to turn the above conviction about Bitcoin into an investment strategy is to buy and hold (i.e. HODL) for a long period of time (say 5 to 10 years). This sounds pretty easy but as I have written before HODLing can make you miserable.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Will ICO last for a long time?
« on: October 26, 2018, 11:54:03 PM »
The amount of time required to complete the crowd sale objectives is a flexible determinant of a successful initial Coin Offering campaign, as one ICO may require 3 days and another may require 1 month or more to completely exhaust their tokens sales or achieve a their minimum cap.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: What makes you trust new coins?
« on: October 26, 2018, 11:51:59 PM »
The attributes of ‘no central authority’ and ‘trust’ are not the same and furthermore are only linked together in NON-cryptocurrency uses of blockchain. Also, the cryptocurrency fans are focusing on the veins of a leaf when they talk about these attributes as being the most important. When talking about cryptocurrency you have to focus on the forest and that means focusing on what it’s supposed to do.

In the calmness and quietness that comes with the bear market, I decided to search some insights and look through perspectives I have not paid attention to. This is not the first bear market in crypto.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Why wouldn't you invest on ripple?
« on: October 26, 2018, 11:48:34 PM »
Ripple (XRP-USD) has been a controversial cryptocurrency—some wouldn’t even call it that—since its inception. While it’s been listed alongside Bitcoin and Ethereum since these things were tracked, it differs greatly from its listing peers on there. Still, the 2018 market has done to Ripple’s XRP coin what it has done to all other coins.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Crypto predictions 2019
« on: October 26, 2018, 11:46:13 PM »
Although 2019 is still a few months away, now is a good time to examine the outlook for the cryptocurrency market as we transition into a new trading year. Before we preview 2019, let’s review the first nine months of 2018.  We will compare the top ten cryptocurrencies (in terms of market cap) against the DGTX token.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: ETH better or BCH ?
« on: October 26, 2018, 11:39:12 PM »
Comparing the Ethereum ETH project to Bitcoin Cash BCH might sound a bit odd since the two projects appear to have nothing in common except the fact that both BCH and ETH represent digital assets within prominent blockchain-based projects. Both currencies reside on the top 5 list of all cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin Cash taking the 4th spot and Ethereum being ranked as the 2nd biggest crypto in accordance with its market cap.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: The Need to Be Careful with ICOs
« on: October 26, 2018, 11:35:49 PM »
The project designing smart tokens that hold several tokens in reserve to exchange between them seamlessly experienced serious security troubles during their ICO. To their fortune, they withstood the attacks and got rewarded by becoming one of the highest-funded ICOs, at that point.
