I choose idex over etherdelat any time of the day. I hope we see altcoins there.

I chose ED. I do not like idex because the minimum balance / transaction 0.1 eth is very much for the normal exchange class.

Etherdelta is very easy to use compared to idex. They've rules which I can't still read and understand. Maybe next time I will understand their rules. For that sake,  I stick to my old Etherdelta for safety.

I prefer Idex. On etherdelta you can set a trade and pay with gas for the trade but if it does not happen you lose gas fee. Same with forkdelta. With Idex you only pay if transaction is a success.

Agreed, this is my main reason for preferring IDEX too. I still have nightmares of selling ERC20's during the network congestion early January on EtherDelta, it was horrific! I can deal with high gas costs and delays for transfer of funds, but not for placing limit or sells/buys. Also with IDEX the trading fee comes out of the tokens rather than all fees being gas based, which I prefer. They very recently added market buy/sell option too which is great. I like the combination of having a decentralized smart contract that uses a centralized interface to be honest. They recently went into maintenance to improve things are a spike in volume which gives me faith. Until the Ethereum blockchain is scaled, or an alternative platform like Neo takes over, I'll never be a fan of pure DEX's. These platforms just can't handle it yet.

Both exchanges have their own advantages and disadvantages. But I prefer ED because the fees on ED are cheap. Although the WD process is often an error, but etherdelta has other advantages. You can start the token with the smartcontact on this exchange.

Before IDEX exists, I first used Etherdelta. But at this time I chose Idex for security reasons. But, Idex has a minimum of trade. So if you get a small amount of tokens from a bounty, you can't sell them on Idex.
