Top-dog cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has emerged as a major employer in the US, listed by LinkedIn above giants like Twitter, Intel, GE, JP Morgan, and Nike.

Coinbase, the popular cryptocurrency exchange, has been named one of the top 50 Americans companies that employees want to work for in 2019. According to the recent annual Top Employers List published by Linkedin, Coinbase was ranked at the 35th position, leaving heavyweights like Twitter, Intel, GE, and Nike in the dust.

Searching For Top Employers
Every year LinkedIn experts compile a list of top companies where Americans would like to get a job. The respected networking platform for professionals takes into consideration four main pillars, including interest in the company, engagement with the company’s employees, demand for available jobs and employee retention rate.

In 2019, LinkedIn’s list of most preferred employers was topped by Alphabet (the owner of Google and YouTube), followed by Facebook and Amazon. Meanwhile, Coinbase clocked in number 35 and was listed almost ten positions higher than banking giant JP Morgan Chase standing in position 44.

Coinbase Might Surprise
According to LinkedIn, Coinbase’s current staff in the USA amounts to about 600 employees. The company keeps expanding its services and presence in the financial market. This explains its hiring spree mainly focused on Engineering, IT, and Human Resources.

In order to promote further crypto mass adoption, the company gives its employees a choice. They can receive their salary entirely or partially in Bitcoin (BTC), and the salaries of about 40 percent of the staff are allocated to BTC. In the future, Coinbase also plans to add other cryptocurrencies.

As a part of its staff retention policy, the company offers a number of employee-friendly benefits. Interestingly, these even include giving the employees up to $5,000 a year for medical treatments.

Notably, last September LinkedIn ranked Coinbase in its list of the top 50 startups to work for. The ranking also included such popular crypto and blockchain projects as Ripple and Gemini. This time around, Coinbase turned out to be the only crypto-related company in the honor roll. Nevertheless, this should be considered another sign of positive acknowledgment towards the cryptocurrency industry.
