Title: dogecoin wallet {User experiences}
Post by: Husires on January 11, 2024, 03:03:46 PM
dogecoin.com recommends the wallets below, but the wallets mentioned are not good, such as Guarda Wallet, BitPay, Ledger, Trust Wallet https://dogecoin.com/wallets/

Search for user experiences for any dogecoin wallet. The wallet is supposed to be open source and have a reasonable number of downloads. What are your experiences and suggestions?

Trust wallet is very familiar in android user.
If dogecoin.com not recommended trust wallet, I think we can use  trezor or dogechain.
TBH, I'm trust wallet user.
I want to know, why this wallet not recommended.
Can you explain why ?

Trust wallet has become widely used in crypto circles because it is simpler and can be multichain I also use Trustwallet if I only store a few coins there, unless it is a large amount I will not store there.

Dogechain was once used to store doge there, but now it rarely opens again because of the convenience of trustwallet which makes me a little comfortable there.

For other Doge wallets never use.

It's there, the recommendations are two pages long and I made a screenshot of one page because of the screen size.

Trust wallet is a good wallet, but it is closed source, and is linked to Binance, but I am surprised by the recommendation of wallets such as Bitpay, which may freeze your funds and ask you to verify the identity.
Guarda Wallet does not have a perfect reputation.

I'm looking for people who have tried dogecoin wallets only:

DogeChain
Dogecoin Core
DogeWallet (Dogeparty wallet)

or closed source one:

MyDoge
DogeWallet (Dogeparty wallet)

Maybe I'm lazy or I don't want to try to go to new things in cryptocurrency, including from how to make core wallets from doge coins.
I am only a housewife who is looking for my simple taste for cryptocurrency, including how to make doge coin wallets to store doge coins.
I like wallets from doge coins is from Safepal, whether it's the type for open source or close source that is most important to use and make me comfort + simple.  :)

Options vary according to need. Anyone who has serious investments in doge coin will inevitably consider an open source wallet that has an active developer team and the code is updated in a short time. else you may end up losing your money, as happened with the Atomic Wallet wallet, which was hacked in mid-June 2023 and caused Loss of 5,500 crypto accounts on the platform read the details of the news here: https://cointelegraph.com/news/crypto-atomic-wallet-faces-class-action-over-100m-crypto-hack-losses
the more serious your investments in cryptocurrencies are, the more stringent your choice of wallet  must be.

SafePal and Trust are the two most popular wallet applications I know on smartphones. Most of my friends use one of these two wallet applications, SafePal and Trust are even more popular than MetaMask thanks to supporting more chains, not just EVM blockchains. That's why they also hold DOGE on these two wallet applications. They are completely satisfied with the experience of using them: fast, simple and interactive.

I don't hold DOGE in self-custodial wallets, I have a little DOGE and put it in simple earn on Binance 😁

I just read it and it would be terrible if that happened to me.
There's no luck at the moment because I'm still traumatized from reading the news.
Can you get hacked like that?
What actually happened to Atomic Wallet?

But maybe I don't store a lot of DOGE coins in Safepal wallet for now because I'm afraid something like Atomic Wallet will happen.
This is a really serious problem and I don't want to seriously store a lot of DOGE coins in the Safepal wallet.

I don't hold DOGE in self-custodial wallets, I have a little DOGE and put it in simple earn on Binance 😁
After I read about the Atomic wallet hack provided by @Husires, I was afraid to store DOGE coins in Safepal and I immediately sent DOGE coins to Binance.
Maybe I'm the same as you, I'd rather save DOGE coins on Binance. But the problem is that Binance is a CEX, which can close its application at any time (I hope Binance doesn't end up like Bittrex).

Of all the wallets on the list, none of them have ever been used by me, the first time I got to know Dogecoin was from a telegram bot that generated Dogecoin for free and for the first wallet I used to store my Dogecoin, Coinomi after that moved to Trust wallet and finally Safepal.

I think I've known dogecoin that is generated from bots. If I'm not mistaken, the name is autodoge, we can generate dogecoin from swiping the captcha. Unfortunately, currently doge bots like that no longer exist. Currently, many wallets have been developed, one of which is Trust Wallet and Safepal, so we are free to decide which wallet we want to use.
