Я не могу точно сказать, чем мотивируются другие, выполняя тестнеты, но я ошибочно предполагал, что можно заработать бесплатные токены в обмен на свое время. А не вознаграждают проекты по той причине, что они изначально ничего и не обещали. Это мы сами для себя придумали такое занятие, и свято веруем, что нам за эту активность обязательно раздадут. Одним словом - ретродроп. Если уж и делать тестнеты, то только проекты уровня L1, так как там при запуске должен быть обязательно нативный токен, который и могут раздать. L2 же, если говорить об EVM используют ETH и в тестовой сети и в майнете. И соответственно даже при выходе в майнет, могут еще годами мурыжить свое комьюнити, так как это и было с арбитрум.
