Yes it is. Its highly volatile nature makes it difficult to predict its value. Worst, it can come to a huge drop just like what we experienced during the start of the year and until the present, Bitcoin has not return to its almost 20k price. I did not say Bitcoin is not a good investment but all I'm saying is that, do a lot of research first before investing.

Personally, i don't think bitcoin is risky as some people believe. Infact, bitcoin is not risky.
Now, what is risk, risk is the potential of gaining or losing something of value. Values can be gained or lost when taking risk resulting from a given action or inaction, foreseen or unforeseen. It's very obvious that investment is rather a risk even as business generally has been defined as a pool of risk. Bitcoin is a digital currency and if anyone considers it a risk, then every other currency leven fiat money is also risky in my opinion. When people cease to spend the number of bitcoin on their possession, the result could be a high demand while supply diminish and eventually turn to a store of value. These has made some people think that bitcoin is risky given the fact that it scarce and it becomes difficult to own even when the price is going down.
