:) Stellar is a platform that aspires to be the bank of the future, allowing people and financial institutions to have a secure participation in the same globalized network.
Since Jed McCaleb founded Stellar, he adopted certain similarities to the Ripple project to which he belonged before. A difference of most cryptocurrencies, Stellar has a solid platform, with an ideal that sounds much more real.
For the exchange of currency on the Stellar platform, the cryptocurrency "Lumens" is used, more still known as Stellar Lumens (XLM). These currency changes can be entered in dollars and then in that currency in Bitcoins.
A difference of the most famous coins, Lumens does not seek to replace traditional money and coexist with it. :)
