Shakur vs Loma will give the fans about 12 rounds of because they are both good at avoiding getting hit. Shakurt however is not a finisher.
It's going to be a snoozefest for some/many fans. I'm already reading comments about how boring this is going to be and I think that's also a factor whether the promoters want to push this fight or not. It will probably not generate the amount of PPV buys and Gate that they wanted.

This is the reason why i chooses Tank Davis over Shakur Stevenson because the latter is not a crowd drawer and his style is more on the defensive, snore fest indeed if Loma and Shakur would meet in the ring. At this stage of his career, Loma needs money fights and Tank Davis could give him that.

I do agree, I would love to see Davis vs Loma as well in the ring. But still depends on how Bob Arum will approach the camp of Tank for this great fight. And now that there are controversies as whether organizations are capping a 12 lbs in every fight moving forward are rehydration clause.

But anyways, let's see, a power puncher vs the technical skills of Loma that will be a great match-up to see and we will wait who will prevail in this kind of fights. And it's going to be unpredictable.

Sa ngayon medyo positive ang movement natin, umabot na ng at least $67k ang green candle tayo nitong 7 days. Pero mas malaki pa ang ini-expect natin presyo sa susunod na buwan lalo na pag tapos ng taon na to.

So talagang patience is the key ika nga dito sa market na to, minsan maiisip natin na mag benta, pero HODL lang talaga at kailagang tatagan natin ang loob at look in the bigger picture.

I see no surprise here.

You can see in the chart in the OP that the price always goes down a little bit after the halving. It skyrocket a few months later.

Yeah, give it like 6 months for the price to go up, or at least at the end of this year, it's a good measuring stick. And personally, I think the pattern will still continue, that every halving we will see new all time high.

So it's just a matter of time and what will be the top price for this year.

And as we all know, conservative estimates is $100k so that will be the likely target or at least double what is the previous all time high which is $69k.

I find it quite odd that more mixers aren't jumping in to fill the void left by their predecessors, though.
Maybe they are released but we didn't hear about them yet, and it takes time to built something that actually works for mixing and privacy.
They must be much better protected now if they want to survive attacks and seizure from regulators, and this is going to be even more intense in future.

I figure that the only way you are going to get something in this space through is by developing it under a pseudonym, like how Satoshi did with Bitcoin.
It sure is getting very risky developing anything related with privacy these days, if your identity is known to public than you can expect someone knocking on your door soon.

Sooner or later though these new mixers will need some form of promotion. And there could be signature campaigns here. But yeah, the risk involved, and it's going to be like a cat and mouse game moving forward. New mixers created new algo to be anonymous as they can be and then government trying to break that and stop them before they become so huge and being "used" by criminals to hide everything.

And it echoes to me what Bitmixer.io says when they closed like 6 years ago. And they might be right after all.  :-[

Once the majority of the bitcoins in circulation enters the hands of the Asset managers, bitcoin and the entire crypto market will become just as normal as the forex market, stock market, gold market and the rest, and, yeah, this will happen sooner than any of us think, and this coming bull run may be the very last for anyone wanting to make significant gains from crypto to do so.
What if Bitcoin halving doesn't really bring something to the table but is the reason why we have other run? Bitcoin is becoming a financial asset to many institutional investors and they are attracted to it because of the gains but with people like them here, what we do have as usual meal in every cycle might be difficult to see.

However, I think altcoins in general will be the next thing to hunt, look at how meme coins were largely demanded, even some of the crypto YouTube channels I lookup to that doesn't like shitcoins all of a sudden begin to talk about meme coins and that's because of the profit.
What is currently happening is the ETF effect, It is still too early for the halving effect to occur because it will take months to reach its maximum. In fact, it is not impossible that there will actually be a correction first. In fact it will be good, which can make many investors compete to buy and this will be a boost for bitcoin to be able to improve. So stay patient, everything definitely needs to be processed and not instant.

Give it at least six months for the market to see the effect of the halving. And I think the ETF will also come sooner and it's not also price-in as what we might be thinking because of that $73k run that we have pre-halving. I wouldn't call it a correction, but there could be just one leg down for us before the parabolic rise. Currently, market has bounce back to $65k-$66k, but still way from the last all time high. Which means we still need some time for it to grow and as I have said, the end of the year will be a good measuring stick as to where this bull run will go. But I can see that we might be seeing a huge price before the end of the year, we could be near six digit or around $100k and then next year will be the final push for a even higher price and top bull run new all time high.

Let's just respect his opinion though, but it's obvious that he either doesn't know what Bitcoin or crypto it because he is old school, or doesn't want to embrace changes. For sure though, with the emergence of AI, I wouldn't be surprised as well that he is against it.  ;D

And we are really in the age wherein we are moving towards digital, cashless society wherein Bitcoin and crypto will be in the middle of it. And we all know that if there are individuals who are skeptics about it, sooner or later they will be left behind because in the next 10-30 years crypto will take over.

I never understand logic of all that. We have two professional fighters who knows how to protect themselves. But they always walk and are crowded by team and bodyguards on press conference and weigh-ins. Lets suppose drawl starts. What next? Professional fighter gets injured. The fight goes canceled. Everyone looses money, everyone fails to earn, opponent misses chance to get one more victory in record or belt. What is the idea to start such a fight, if because of you, your team suffers?

That should not happen, especially in an epic fight like this. The promoters have spent a lot of money on preparation and promotion, and they might file a suit or case against the parties that started the brawl. Fighters should be protected at all costs. They know their obligation. They have bodyguards, and their bodyguards know what to do because they have instructions to protect their boxer at all costs.

that make sense. this is one of the biggest since we have not seen in decades such as unification fight in the HW division. they wouldn't want this cancelled anymore since they waited this long for this to happen.  and to see this fight is to happen in a country that can give them millions, its gonna be a disaster if one is injured.

by bitbit97's description, it looks like there really is a kid's brawl. i wouldn't be surprised if there is another brawl after the fight.

Not sure though if this is just to hype the fight or if John Fury is out of control. But there are news that the Fury has apologizes but the damage has been done and the Fury's should be ashamed of this action specially from John as he himself was a pro boxer and knows that this kind of acts in unacceptable. And with this, it just give Usyk more reasons to punish Fury in their fight.

Sort of to take revenge for what the Fury is doing and restore order in the HW division. There's no question that Fury is great, but with this kind of antics, many fans might be turning their backs on him.

Tank vs Loma is still in progress if could change to Shakur.   i think Tank is too much for Loma. Shakur vs Loma will give the fans about 12 rounds of because they are both good at avoiding getting hit. Shakurt however is not a finisher.

Tank vs Loma is floating now and i think this is a fight that i think Loma should take because the latter has the advantage on the size though heavy handed but i do think he could avoid the power bombs of Tank Davis.

Tank vs Loma, or Shakur vs Loma will be good in my opinion. Going to be explosive for a Tank vs Loma fight. Tank using his power and boxing IQ against Loma, technique. Loma though should start quick moving forward, he can't be a slow starter just like what his strategy against Haney then. That's why you can see in the Kambosos fight that he started fast and soften Kambosos in the later round.

It now depends on Bob Arum on whom will he choose as the next opponent of Loma.

Yes, whichever Bob Arum can easily talk to and sit down and laid up what they will get if they fight Loma. Shakur though should be a sho-in if he chooses to extend his contract with Top Rank, but it seems the doesn't want to and become a free agent after his last fight in July.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: High fees is a never ending story?
« on: May 17, 2024, 12:17:52 AM »
There are blocks and blocks of 10 sat/vbyte transactions alone. Same for 5 sats/vbyte. But anyway, I am content with a 20 sat/vbyte fee for Bitcoin. As long as fees do not shoot up again, I think the conditions are going to be very good for making transactions for the next few weeks at least.
The current transfer fees around 10 sat/vB, it is actually quite cheap. It's rather rare to see transfer fees of 5 sat/Vb or lower. If you are satisfied with the transfer fess around 20 sat/vB, it means you have no problem with the current transfer fees. With 20 sat/vB, your transaction will be faster. I'm actually doing the bad decision to customize the transfer fees few days ago, I set the transfer fees about 8 sat/vB. Until now, it cannot be processed, the transaction status is pending until now. There is no solution for this case, it just hope for the miracle that the transfer fees will be around 8 sat/vB again. This is a lesson, don't set too small transfer fees!!

Right, it's down to 10 sat/vB and it's quite cheap for now. Of course, we wouldn't want to see it lower and be back to like 1-5 sat/vB. But not sure if we can still achieved that assuming that there will be another project in the horizon that is going to take advantage of the blockchain and clogged it again. Well we can used transaction accelerators if you believed that they work.

And if you look at mempool, let's say it's 11 sat/vB as the highest and you set your fee with that, it might also take some time to be in the next block as everyone could have paid the same fee.

I think it's very simple, they are buying gold not just to diversify but to also to used it as hedge and as we all know that Gold has proven itself already. And if I still remember my history class, after the war, gold was premium and it was being used to pay or reconstruct what has been destroyed during the war. Not saying, that there will be a war that the Chinese is preparing, but who knows, their government is now making contingency and preparing. And as I looked at the current price it says it's up today.

OKC surprised me in game 4 as I thought it's Mavs that will continue to dominate in the second half. Kudos to this young team for not losing focus. As for their game 5, I'm still clueless what to bet on.

For tomorrow's pivotal game 5, I think the Pacers and Nuggets will take it. Knicks injury woes will continue to plague them and Nuggets momentum is back.

Yeah, was a big surprised the OKC was able to make a huge rally and beat the Mavs in their own game. I mean the Mavs are running and playing good defense. But SGA is not going to back down from all the trash talking by PJ Washington hehehe.

As for the Knicks, they are going to play at home but having a small rotation might affect them and it surely did in the last 2 games having just 8 players, it might not help them to win this series.

Trump is fully aware of how strong the Crypto community is in the US, and he knows that Biden is not pondering Cryptocurrency, so he attacks him using Cryptocurrency to make him look good in the eyes of the community.
He makes Biden look silly with his statement. Imagine it as if everybody knows what cryptocurrency is in the US, yet you, as the head of the most powerful country, are ignorant of it.

Trump is on a good start to his campaign by wooing the Cryptocurrency community.

Quote
He highlighted the diverse nature of cryptocurrency and asserted, “If you are in favor of crypto, you better vote for Trump,” he declared.

Yeah, when he become a President, for sure he had known crypto and if I'm not mistaken, could have accepted it during his campaign.

And if someone watch the roast of Tom Brady, a supporter of crypto, Nikki Glaser highlight it with this joke, and it's hilarious,  ;D

30.4% percent? It's crazy high and that means you could talk about cryptocurrency to stranger as conversation starter. Although it's a shame the article doesn't mention how they obtain the number/percentage, which makes me question it's accuracy.

When you look at the fact that, apart from Ukraine, there is not a single other country from Europe that has some of the countries with the highest purchasing power and, accordingly, they certainly have a significant share of people who own cryptocurrencies. This is obviously a very limited survey conducted by a payment processor that apparently generates clients from those countries.

It is always interesting to see China in the top 10 countries when it comes to cryptocurrencies, considering that they banned them some 7-8 years ago. However, for me, a much more significant research would be to get data on where, for example, Bitcoin is mostly used as a cryptocurrency, and not as an investment.

Perhaps there are investors from China who chooses to keep their Bitcoin or some altcoins. Before the total ban, it's more on them going after altcoin if I remember around 2017-2019 era, Bitcoin was not even in their top crypto if I remember it correctly. They have some altcoins that has been developed by the Chinese that is on the top. Now, it's really hard to gauge the data as the game really change already with institutions and whales are into investment with all the ETF's and other instruments and future contracts.

The Cavs stealing one game in Boston, who would have thought of that? I believe almost everyone was thinking the Celtics would make easy work in their home court. Levert's production was a surprised to me as he played poorly in game 1. Good call on the part of the coach for trusting him in game 2.

One factor that contributed to the loss of the Boston Celtics was their poor shooting on the rainbow country, 8/35 from the 3 point area. Levert's 21 point production on offense was a great help for Mitchell and Garland. I was fortunate that have betted for the Cavs +7.5 @1.96 when the score was ties at 54 apiece at the end of first half, my first win in the playoffs hehe.

On the other series, Dallas stole one game from the Thunder thus bringing the momentum for them going into game 3.

Yes, just like when they lost the the Heat, they have a poor shooting and then the Heat was like 60%++ from the outside. And it makes this series more exciting as they will go on the Cavs home court.

So there could be psychological advantage for the Cavs now and have a chance to go 2-1.

Good win for you mate, although the Dallas stole one, Luka might not be 100% next game as he is limping and likely suffering from pain in his lowe body, could be his knees or foot.
