What do you guys think about the recent trends in Defi and its impact on the altcoin market?

DeFi has lost its fame as raising interest rates will make it illogical to invest in it, especially since it witnessed growth after the Corona pandemic, as it was easy to obtain loans with almost zero interest.

I also started reading about the intention of many regulatory bodies to restrict some of the features of DeFi or force some swaps to obtain a license, otherwise they are running an unregulated activity. If this actually happens, the requirements for some licenses will be KYC.

What do you guys think about the recent trends in Defi and its impact on the altcoin market?

What you should know is that, in a bear market many coins will heat a new all time low above their listing price, and that's when whales buy these coins in quantity, so by the time bull run approach, they pumped these prices invite new traders to fomo and when they pump to their target prices, they sell immediately and move down to another one and right now, Defi is the new coin they are playing around with that's why they are trending.

This is what you should do, if you have some that you are holding, try and sell some and if you know any potential that is sleeping and you know it can pump later, you should quickly buy them and keep so you can sell for short term hold.

What do you guys think about the recent trends in Defi and its impact on the altcoin market?

They lost their popularity for the past few years, but those top DeFi tokens are still operating, and still working behind the limelight.
What I mean is that they might not be as popular as they were when Uniswap first launched, but they're still working with some DeFi exchanges with TVLs of almost or more than 100 Million dollars.

Speaking of Uniswap, that governance proposal that made its price rise a few days ago might create a domino effect toward other DeFi exchanges as well. Pancakeswap did it already, and I expect more DeFi platforms to do the same as well to compensate those holders of their respective tokens.

Well, In my opinion, DeFi still has some potential as there are many defi projects worthy of joining even at the current price, for example, AVAX, Link, Uni, ICP, etc., etc. (Note: it's not investing advice, so avoid and DYO). Every Narrative has its own time and in my opinion, defi has just started its, AVAX Link, and the ones I mentioned are already up and they will go up more.

There are many new DeFi projects like INJ and JUP etc. but I doubt they have any potential because they are driven by Solana airdrops that's why I think when the airdrop hype decreases the potential of these coins to grow will also decrease. I am waiting for another narrative at the moment.

Are you serious? Do you consider ICP a project worth mentioning?
I think that most investors do not care about the development and goal behind the cryptocurrency compared to technical analysis and predicting the price direction, which is wrong.

DeFi has been experiencing rapid growth due to of people are starting to use DeFi and it has a lot of new uses such as trading, insurance, and managing assets. Plus faster transactions and a lot of big companies are now interested in DeFi as well. So this shows that DeFi is growing.
