Title: Be careful of the coin you invest on.
Post by: Thyplaymaker on March 27, 2024, 12:19:29 PM
Is just remaining few days before the upcoming bitcoin halving, and base on the previous halvings that have occurs. Bitcoin always undergo a breakthrough (increased) in price , same goes with other coins. And this time around there are usually alot if hyped in market and alot of coin are also going to be launched. And alot of people are at there looking for who to scam ( through using Ponzi scheme and all such of related method). All am trying to say is that we should be careful on how we invest our hard earned money, by doing proper research before jumping into any form of investment expecially those who are new here , with the mindset of getting rich quick.

Though this space can make one to be wealthier. But is not something one need to rush is a gradual process even those who are investing and trading would understand.  This is the best time to invest and have some good coins in your portfolio, don't just go around investing all such of coins all coins potential differs. So focus on the main coin , and also coin that are well known.

Big yes, it is important to do research before investing in a project to avoid scams. we encourage those who are new to crypto to do your own research, don't jump right into a project that you don't know if it's legit

For me, the best time is when we are in a bear market and when prices are in the red - and some smart investor said a long time ago that the best time to invest is when there is blood in the streets. In other words, when everyone is panicking and selling, the intelligent always buy.

As for who will choose which coin, I agree that you should choose those that are already somewhat known and have a reputation, but people are always looking for something that will bring them a massive profit, and that is very often similar to gambling.

well Said, the bear market is the best time to buy , alot of people with less knowledge about this space are always panicking whenever there's a dip . Due to not wanting their money to get stuck. So whenever there's a dip buy more if it dip again purchase more, mostly when it come to bitcoin. Because the more you buy during the bear market the more profit you gonna make when there's a bull market.

most time we Humans let our greed to get the best of us when it comes to trading and investing most time , the urge of making greater profit in a short period of time. Leading to making reckless decision without having thinking of the risks. To have a peaceful investment we should purchase coins with good reputation. Just as you said.

Be careful of the coin you invest on.
Ah, this is absolutely true. Because I personally have a lot of altcoins that I got this season and the previous bull season. Sometimes I feel confused about how to invest, because I haven't found a portfolio of applications that can help me manage all the altcoins that I have. Yes, although I don't expect too much with all those altcoins. But at least, I hope everything can be sold so that my wallet is clean enough this time. Ha ha ha

Because, taking profits in bullish is quite risky, it could be too early but it could mean we are too greedy and in the end miss the moment to take profits. This is what we have to do, namely manage our assets well. So there is no longer a word for being too late because you are too greedy or panic selling because prices are going up too fast. Pay attention to the market and manage our assets wisely.

Many people also told me that before the halving there were usually lots of scammers who came to steal our money in cryptocurrency.
I had anticipated this because I felt I could just buy Bitcoin to invest because as the OP said before the halving there would be lots of scammers in cryptocurrency.
I often ask or look at various cryptocurrency telegram channels to stay away from scammers so that I don't get tricked.

Well, we can't blame those people. But you know what, let me tell you this, the moment we enter the bear market, the more they want to invest. However, there will always be this feeling inside them that there's more possibility for every crypto in the market to go down further. This is the primary reason why it makes them hesitate to invest in a bear market.

They want to catch the falling price at the very bottom, but they don't know what price they will start to invest. They will wait again and again. This has been a cycle ever since.

From what I have concluded after about ten years since I became seriously interested in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, in general people still do not believe that Bitcoin is something so to speak "legitimate" and they constantly expect the whole thing to fail - and accordingly they do not want their money keep invested in Bitcoin for too long.

The "quick in, quick out" method is therefore still practiced by many, but it is still a matter of personal choice for each individual. I will not say that the value of Bitcoin is not something that does not attract me, but Bitcoin is still much more than that and I hope that people will start to appreciate what Bitcoin actually exists for.

I remember when the price dropped below $20 000, how many were there who hoped to buy BTC at prices lower than $10 000, but one should be realistic and not too greedy and invest when the price drops without waiting until infinity, just like that it is wise to take part of the profit when the price rises and not wait for some kind of price that may not happen.

Indecisive people in the end mostly stay on the sidelines and watch and later regret it, but that is something that is an integral part of the world we live in.

exactly, those that kept on waiting for the whole system to fail , would keep on missing out in this great opportunity bitcoin as offered. Most people that still have such thought or mindset are those that don't really know any about Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general. And even when such people kept hoping for such scenario, bitcoin would keep growing gaining the adoption it deserves. And lately alot of folks has already started seeing the beauty of bitcoin, it may only take some time but bitcoin will surely get to a point, where alot of people will surely start appreciating what bitcoin actually exit for.

The well-known coin we should first of all, think of is Bitcoin, before we start to think of other well-known coins.
Investing in coins because they are well-known is not a guarantee they will do well in the future and can't be rugged pulled. If we can remember, Luna was a well known coin in the past. Where is it today? I believe your answer will make us come to the terms that a well known crypto is not a guarantee to be on profits in years to come.

Investing in crypto entirely is full of risk and everyone should research and invest the little they have than investing of a known coin is trading.

Seriously, I really, really agree. I can no longer say anything else. because this is true. When investing, in crypto especially, the most important thing is the choice of coin or token. It could be because of the ranking, because of the fundamentals, the real use case, or even just because of FOMO from the hype of the project. All of this can affect what we will produce later from this investment. Once we choose the wrong thing, it will really make us regret it in the end.

Learn from various valuable experiences, both our own and other people's experiences. Investing is sometimes not easy enough. especially when we are very interested and impressed with a coin and we immediately go all in on it, without caring about the risks, because of the very high level of concern for the coin. And in fact, it didn't go according to our expectations, quite the opposite. With conditions like this, who will be blamed? It's not possible to use the coins, because we won't do anything about them either. This is a valuable lesson for us to be more careful and not be careless in taking coins for investment.

Telegram accounts are the worst place to ask for help against scammers, unless you knew and trusted that person is. Because it's like a hive of scammers in any group exists, better be careful.

We cannot remove this kind of mindset from those people. Especially since Bitcoin is a digital currency, compared to any other tangible asset or investment which they prefer as they can touch, see, and keep it somewhere they are the only ones who know.

That's right, instead of taking the opportunity to invest during that time, they tend to wait for a much lower price. They should have done DCA, so if they happen to invest even if it is still not the lowest price, they can still have the chance to invest more.

Fraud under the guise of cryptocurrency is indeed very disturbing, plus the mindset of some people today who think that being able to get rich quickly is a weakness that is being exploited badly by fraudsters. What all new people need to pay attention to is, don't easily believe in coins, especially new altcoins or new tokens where there is coercion in making a purchase, or there could also be false promises given to someone that the price of a particular coin will rise within a few years. fore, and he pushed to buy it... Avoid it.

Just check on coinmarketcap and choose the coin with the most potential, like the TOP 10 coins on cmc are coins that have good potential for long-term holding. Apart from that, several methods such as diversification and DCA can be learned first so that beginners can enjoy the Bitcoin halving moment that will come in the next few weeks with good profits from buying and selling activities.

You can definitely select Bitcoin as the best coin to invest in, there is no other coin in the market that is as reliable as Bitcoin. Since 2009, Bitcoin has faithfully survived in the cryptocurrency market without falling into any scams. Bitcoin keys are so secure and strong that hackers will never be able to hack them. And you can hold on to Bitcoin for a long time to get more return on investment. The longer I hold a day the lower your risk, the only risk reduction is Bitcoin.

Maybe it's not the best comparison considering that it is about two completely different periods - but I first heard about Bitcoin in 2011 and then the whole thing seemed to me like something that would last a very short time and it didn't really make sense to me. It took a few more years for me to actually understand how Bitcoin as an idea is actually a genius project, so maybe I can understand to some extent that someone who learned about Bitcoin a year or two ago has a certain amount of skepticism.

However, for all such people, there is a history that Bitcoin has, which definitely did not exist in 2011. I personally know some people from real life who were 100% sure that Bitcoin will fail, and when they ask me today what happened to Bitcoin, I tell them that it really failed because I want them to continue enjoying their stupidity.

During the bull run, people like to invest in different coins to see which one will give them returns; it is very risky but so many people do it and are still going to do it this time again. Once what they call the 'altcoin season' starts, you will find many people buying different new coins, meme coins and others. It will work for some, while the majority are going to lose money, but notwithstanding, that is what is still going to happen.

Big purchases will continue to happen as the crypto market has entered bullish mode,
altcoin season has arrived and now memecoin is the most popular.

Many people make millions of dollars with memecoins, but many also lose millions of dollars to memecoins.
This is very risky but also provides great benefits, see how SOLANA is now that continues to rise in price due to the hype of memecoin on the SOLANA network.

That's a great suggestion, we should not invest our hardly-earned money in every second coin for the sake of profit, I mean we should not be 100% sure that every investment will make us profit, while we are new to the market and have zero knowledge of everything. At the start when a person makes a few dollars, his/her life POV changes, they start to think making money via trading and investing in crypto is an easy and fast way to make money.

But they ignore the important part, that they can also make a loss and lose it all. proper knowledge is the key to making a profit, joining valuable groups, and communities, saving valuable sources, and trying to be in contact with valuable people, this way a newbie can at least start to make a profit as well. One thing we all should keep in mind is that crypto is no quick money scheme.

Yes, we understand that, and it's already given that those kinds of people who are new to Bitcoin will be skeptical for the same reason I have given. Even I, I don't deny it. The first time I had the chance to learn about Bitcoin I had doubts and thought that it might be a seasonal asset that might disappear anytime soon.

But you know what, during my studies, my professor gave us a task to research all currencies (fiat/digital) available worldwide. That is when I saw Bitcoin included on the lists and that is when I was convinced and said to myself that it was not the same as what I was thinking.

I feel sorry for those people who have just waiting for other people to get the news about Bitcoin. Thinking that it will fail so they can prove to other people that they are correct that Bitcoin will fail. Well, that's what I also do since I was tired of telling other people about it even if they show interest, they don't listen to anything I say as they think of it as a scam or a pyramiding scheme.

But can the altcoinstalks forum provide security guarantees for newly launched coins?
As well as basic information about coins etc.

exactly , alot of people always get it wrong there thinking crypto is about getting rich quick scheme, making them to go around making rash decision that always magnet bad outcome ( losses). Expecially after seeing some persons showing off their wins via social medias. Like for instance a trader showing the amount he made from his day trading . Without mentioning the losses or she passed through before getting to that point they are now. So someone who's new to cryptocurrencies would be in eager to make such , so he or she would go into trading without any proper knowledge on how trading but only with the mindset of getting rich within a short period of time. But at the end he or she endup with losses or endup losing it all. And may endup affecting his confidence in this space.

This is the reason why I always prefer investing into coins that has a higher market cap. The risk of losing your money would be lower compared to if you will invest your money into some new projects out there that yes has a high reward if that project becomes successful, but the risk of you losing money is very high as well.

TBH, sometimes even though we are doing proper research, there's still a chance that we might get scammed. The best thing to do for me is to just focus on Bitcoin or any of the top altcoins out there. I'm not saying that researching doesn't work because it's an important factor, but sometimes even though we are researching in a new project and we find it a good investment, there's still a chance that they can scam you. With the bull market coming, more projects will come, and there's a chance that the project you invest your money with will just scam you alongside other investors that invested on the same project.

You know what, just focus on Bitcoin. In that way, you will not get scammed at all. Lesser risk, lesser reward, lesser stress. :D

The first mistake is to think that you can get rich from this, you don't have that mindset when you enter into any sort of thing that involves money because this thought diverts your mind. When you start a business, you don't think of becoming rich from it overnight and you know that you will have to work very hard and with a lot of dedication to make your business stable and earn you good money.

The same thought process one should have for trading and cryptocurrencies, one should think that there is a lot of work that they need to do, a lot of knowledge to be gained, and they will need so much focus and dedication so that nothing could distract them.

Because I only have the principle that I only invest in well-known coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum, but unfortunately these two coins are very expensive, I can't even afford to buy 1 Ethereum at the moment. And buying Bitcoin is only a small amount.

At first nothing 100% safe mostly when come to investing, the thing is that those two coin you just mentioned which is Bitcoin and Ethereum are both coins with nice growth potential. So i will say investing now is not a bad idea because we all believe that after this upcoming halving which going to take place around this month, they would be a massive surge in market if history repeats his self. Because base on previous halving they are always a dip during it . And lateron like a year later there's always a nice bullish market .So i will say yeah you can start your investment. But recommend you using DCA. So when comes to buying in DCA it involves the purchasing of a particular coin ( expecially bitcoin) at different price interval with any fixed amount you can afford. So in other word it is not necessary to buy 1 BTC or ETH at once. But you can start accumulating with any percentage you can remove from your earnings without it affecting your way of living. So you would be able to coverup some expenses when you're accumulating.

First we must know about the coin we are investing in. If we invest without knowing anything about a particular coin, we may be cheated out of that investment later on. Choosing the right coin is very important for every investor before investing.  Unless an investor is able to select the right coin to invest in, he will be a step behind others in investing. If an investor invests in Bitcoin and another investor invests in any of the bitcoins in the market, the investor who invests in Bitcoin must be at the highest risk of his money. So without risking so much money we must invest in the right coin.

People rush nowadays because they're seeing the others making that much profit. No one's at fault here because those that are sharing their profit are just overwhelmed. While the ones that are being encouraged and rushing, they think that it's easy to get there because they lack of experience. Most of us to invest in Bitcoin as it's a safe asset and good for long term but not all of us are for the long term.

If you don't have the simple knowledge to know that the crypto market is dangerous then you would be naive enough as to buy or invest on any coin you come across. The first thing that everyone should take note of is that the market is never as the way we deem it to be, when it comes to volatility then you are exactly speaking the language of crypto. Anyone who doesn't research before involving himself in crypto is probably going to be hearing nothing but sad stories because one moment you can be seeing green readings and the next everything is filled with blood and that's how dangerous it can be especially in a very sensitive period like this where they are so many scam and nonsense coins out there.

One must be careful with every investment and always know the updated news in the market.  Many times the invested coins turn into Shitcoins in the market so you need to know the updated news otherwise the investment may disappear from the market at any time.  Again one must be careful while investing in new coins and after investing one must keep updated news in the market.  In no case is an investment neglected by you but always equally important to you.

Yeah. We have to analyze the project well before investing in it. We don't want to make our hard earned money turn into waste. So this could be a warning to us to don't be fall to a scam project. One thing to determine that a project is a scam is that "to good to be true" projects. If you found out a project with very shocking return without a enough information of their team and project's vision then probably it a scam.

So focus on the main coin , and also coin that are well known.
Investing in many altcoins may seem good and like the investor is increasing his/her chances of profiting from bitcoins, but that is false. Not all altcoins are good to invest in even though they may look promising, proper research Has to be done so that an investor does not waste their time and their available resources investing in a coin that is dubious.

Instead of investing in many altcoins, invest in bitcoins with a few altcoins that have proven to have your reputation. With investments in a few altcoins, you will be able to monitor your investment properly than when you have invested in so many coins that they now become difficult to track and keep safe.

-cut-Like for instance a trader showing the amount he made from his day trading .
Such bad experiences not only affect their confidence but also make people the enemy of crypto while they should hate those influencers or people they followed, they will blam crypto for there losses. Crypto is straight forward, proper research and confidence in yourself makes one good profit taker. If you don't want to make huge profits then invest your money in BTC in every bear cycle via DCA or smart DCA.

By doing that, a person can accumulate a good amount of BTC without getting into the technicalities of BTC and how blockchain works, etc. But still, proper knowledge is the key to profit. I have learned it by personal experience. But still due to lack of knowledge I sometime makes lose.

This is the best time to invest and have some good coins in your portfolio, don't just go around investing all such of coins all coins potential differs. So focus on the main coin , and also coin that are well known.[/size]
The main coin for one should focus more on should be Bitcoin, the other coins should be secondary because you can't tell what their fate could be in the crypto market. It is preferable to have your portfolio to be 75% of bitcoin and the 25% should be altcoin.

Of course one should be aware of the currency in which to invest. Now I invest in bitcoin or ethereum if I don't care about bitcoin and ethereum my investment will not save much. Also since our next half is coming very soon we must be extra careful right now. Those who have money to invest should invest and those who don't have much money to invest but have weekly or monthly income should continue to invest using DCA method. If you carelessly miss this bull market, I think you are going to miss the ultimate opportunity. So whatever you do, do it carefully right now, hope you will be successful very soon.

Yeah this time around one should try all means to be among the people that going to profit from this golden opportunity that's coming in this bull run, by investing in some good project like bitcoin and some main and popular coins that worth investing on. As many going to experience a life changing event in this bull run, that would change their life for the better that's are others would endup falling as victims due to investing in wrong project due to greed or poor researching habit .

First you decide which coin you will invest in.  There are many coins in the market and it is very difficult to select a good quality coin, in that case you can invest in those coins by visiting all the websites that provide various information about the various coins, by looking at the rating of the coin and by looking at the number of investors in the coin. Always avoid investing in sheetcoins and invest in coins which are reliable and which have been in the market for a long time and in which investors have enough investment. If you try to learn about coins before investing you will definitely know about the right coin and after knowing this definitely invest.

Some people out of carelessness and negligence invested on the wrong coin because they are very eager to see they make an investment on crypto, but we need to first considers the risk and know the importance to why we must invest on any coin with what we stand to achieve for doing so, some investment were best for nothing than to do away with when we make our research in them, we will discover to see that they never worth it at all, while some deserve it.

I see more of altcoin trading as gambling, trading is actually gambling, whether you're timing the market before buying Bitcoin and also timing when to sell or you're buying several altcoin tokens with hopes that at least one of two would bring good profits. Some even buy all these tokens but still nothing happens, the whole thing crashes on their head and they lose all their money.

Whether in the altcoin season or a bull run, it's important to be careful of what you invest your money on, because that's the that many scam tokens also troops into the market, and if you're not careful, you could end up being victimized. There are many ways to detect real projects, it's just for you to find those ways.

Related to altcoin trading as gambling it depends who does it and how the methods they use.
Trading futures without trading knowledge and just guessing using high leverage is called gambling, because they are just guessing with a higher risk of loss.

But regular trading in general or spot trading they will still own their altcoins.
Unless they choose shitcoin which in the end will indeed lose its value and be abandoned and just become rubbish.

Must be careful with new coins, must do research first before entering so as not to generate more losses.

I agree with this. It depends on the person, who's initiating the trade. Some people, especially newbies or those who do not have knowledge nor experience in trading are treating it as a gamble where their chance to make a profit depends on luck. Most of the time, this is done if they are hyped up due to some people flexing the profit they have in a certain coin or most of the time is on meme coins.

Compared to those who know about trading, the one who studied and charted the possible price action of the coin they plan to do the trade.

It's not gambling if you know what you are doing because not all altcoins are useless and tend to make you lose money. Only traders and investors making investments in shitcoins and meme coins and other similar projects that are created for the sole purpose of making their creators rich are gambling with their money, but someone who gathers enough knowledge about the market and only invests in good projects can't be considered a gambler.

So both short-term and long-term traders and investors, must do enough research before they make any investment in any cryptocurrency whether old or new because that makes them understand whether it deserves investing in or not.

But Bitcoin and Ethereum certainly don't need research anymore, just need to see where is the right time to enter and invest for the long term.
In addition to these two coins, of course, detailed research is needed to find out how well they develop in the future.

Some of the top coins are also quite good like BNB, SOLANA, etc. which can be an option for long-term or short-term investments.
But for the short term, it is better to choose coins with high volume, which signals a fairly fast movement and that is good for short-term trading or scalping.

You're right at some point, it's true that altcoin trading that's based on proper analysis as well as research and experience can actually give a productive result, but let's not also forget about the fact that even with all the analysis, the research and all the experience, it doesn't eliminate the risks of losses completely from the equation. It doesn't mean that you won't incur losses even with all the experience.

Whether it's about Bitcoin, Ethereum, or any other popular cryptocurrency, research is required for first-time investors because research is not only to find out whether a project is a scam or not, but it also helps one understand the movements of a cryptocurrency and helps them decide their entry and exit points and whether they should make an investment at that exact moment or wait, etc.

Someone who is new in the market but has just heard a lot about Bitcoin shouldn't make their investment right away, it is essential for them to first gather some information about Bitcoin to at least understand it very well despite knowing how good or how popular it is.

Losses must happen to anyone, including professional traders, because the crypto market will not be 100% predicted.
There will be a sudden change in trend and all analysis will not work properly.

Even Bitcoin will also change its trend when it gets a lot of FUDs and this will affect all crypto prices.
It's good to update all the time to find out what's happening in the crypto market.

Analyzing the market and predicting the market with 100% accuracy is impossible. No matter how experienced an investor or a trader is, he can never say with 100% certainty that the market may go this way in the future. There are investors or traders who just observe the market and take an idea and based on that idea they usually trade or invest. Here is a discussion about finding good coins. There is a big difference between choosing a good coin to invest in and monitoring the market. Choosing the right coin is the first step in investing and it is a very important step because a mistake in choosing the right coin puts a lot of money at risk.

With regard to the right coin, the first position is certainly highly recommended to include Bitcoin in the portfolio and top Altcoins such as ETH, BNB, SOL can be other alternatives.

But there is no need for in-depth research for the top coins that you already trust, just need to know when to enter to get a cheaper price.
But for altcoins that are still new or memecoins, detailed research is needed to find out how the progress and trust for the coin, don't get stuck on shitcoins that will only be abandoned.

Bitcoin is nothing compared to these altcoins, unlike every other token, Bitcoin has the potential to recover from any type of dip or fluctuations it might encounter.
And even when Bitcoin gets lots of FUDs as you say and the trend changes or it experiences a dip and it eventually affects other tokens, we can rest assured that Bitcoin will always bounce back and correct its trend overtime, as long as we continue to HODL through that temporary fluctuations.
While this may not be the case for other tokens, there are tokens that have become worthless due to its inability to recover from a DIP.

A better step is to have a teacher who can guide you from basic to expert level to understand the world of cryptocurrency and investment. Self-taught self-study is clearly very time-consuming and tiring, it's different if you learn using the help of the right and experienced mentor, some opportunities such as newly released tokens might also be maximized, of course by doing analysis first.

However, it is also necessary to consider that studying with a mentor of course requires a large amount of money, because this involves financial knowledge, where everyone knows that what is being addressed is the economy, so it is natural that the price is not cheap.

With regard to the right coin, the first position is certainly highly recommended to include Bitcoin in the portfolio and top Altcoins such as ETH, BNB, SOL can be other alternatives.

When an investor is just new and is afraid of big risks then the best thing to do is to go for top coins of the market most especially Bitcoin and Ethereum as these are proven to be solid and have been performing well. Now, with that in mind, one could not here experience x10, x100 ROI as we are not anymore in the introductory stage. In case one is not risk-averse then there are new projects including memecoins that got strong potential for monumental growth ahead but then again the risks here can also be gargantuan...and personally I consider these projects more like a gambling rather than an investment as they can die anytime due to many factors. When one would go for trading then no question top coins must be on play as they can be analyzed well by anyone willing to do so. The same thing can be said if one is planning to just HODL coins into the future. Right now, cryptocurrency industry is giving us many opportunities to earn money but can also be a way to lose our investment if we are not careful and sometimes if we are not that lucky.
