Can bitcoin survive without altcoins?

It is absolutely true that Bitcoin is the father of all crypto coins. And we also don't forget that Bitcoin is the only coin with big influences to the prices of other coins. When the price of Bitcoin is rising or decreasing, it will give direct impacts to others. This is the reason why altcoins cannot survive without Bitcoin.

Bitcoin can remain without an altcoin because altcoin is because of bitcoin, many new altcoins are popping up because they reflect on the shining of bitcoin and altcoins that appear hoping to shine like bitcoin, but bitcoin will not be seen as king of the coin, without altcoins and the crypto world will not be even more crowded without the presence of new altcoin that have sprung up.

I don't think bitcoin exist to change the world because it can't. Its just another alternative to transactions. To directly answer the question, bitcoin can survive with or without altcoins and that's because its independent on altcoins

End purpose for many are going to be rescript. however the aim of commercialism alts for many is to accumulate a lot of btc, stay up for btc to travel up, then sell btc for rescript.

The idea is that investment in alts are going to be a lot of profitable than merely investing in btc. I'm positive everybody is aware of what number alts did the 10x or 100x issue ... btc mounting 10-100x from here is incredibly unlikely. Associate in Nursing altitude with a lower marketcap could also be unlikely to extend that a lot of, however a minimum of it's doable.

Bitcoin is said to be the king of coins because of its value which has never been overtaken by other altcoins. While the value of bitcoin is high because of the bitcoin technology itself and the team is always solid.  between bitcoin and altcoin there are virtues in the structure.

Yeah, both Bitcoin and altcoins support each other. Altcoins makes Bitcoin be stronger and be a way to introduce crypto+Bitcoin around the world. With there are many altcoins, it means there are many companies involved in crypto space. It surely makes Bitcoin to have many supports because altcoins values depend on Bitcoin.

in the first place, it doesn't need altcoins to survive it can carry on its own, we have altcoins now, because Bitcoin is open-sourced and decentralized, anyone can do create a token and make it a cloned of Bitcoin.

I am not sure if Bitcoin doesn't need altcoins. They have made influences to make Bitcoin and crypto to be popular. With many altcoins, people can know easily about Bitcoin and crypto space. There are more adoptions and participations by creating and developing altcoins.

of course, BTC is a great thing to store value. However, for blockchain needs such as database, iot services, fintech, b2b data etc. requires other chains like Ether, Neo, Iota etc. So BTC can store value but cannot succeed other things.

Since a lot of people ask "will altcoins survive without bitcoin?", there is something interesting in my mind with this. How about if we change the question to be "can bitcoin survive without altcoins?". I assume it can survive, but it will be a little hard to achieve its goals to change the world. Let's discuss it.. 

Bitcoin can indeed survive without Altcoin, but the world of Cryptocurrency will not be as busy now if there is no Altcoin.  Remember, Bitcoin is very well known because of the many altcoins that appear, because every new altcoin must carry the name Bitcoin as the parent of all Cryptocurrency coins.

Bitcoin was created without any altcoin involved. Altcoins were created following bitcoin to resolve problems that bitcoin couldn't. That said, bitcoin obviously can survive without altcoins. The question should be reversed: Can altcoins survice without altcoins? I guess the answer is no.

Yes it can, it actually started alone and then more and more coins forked the bitcoin source code, so yeah it really can, but the existence of altcoins gives boost to the bitcoin's market capitalization as we see, without altcoins I think bitcoin won't reach the current price we have now.
