Presidential candidate and Economy Minister of Argentina Sergio Massa has proposed implementing a blockchain-based system to monitor state accounts and the execution of the national budget. His other plans also include using gas from Vaca Muerta for Bitcoin mining.

Massa has praised Blockchain Technology for increasing transparency and control over public spending, along with this he has also proposed the creation of a national digital currency.

He is not the first to propose it, China has been testing it for a long time, as far as I remember it's been a few years, I don't think they will just let him do it, or to be more precise, make it so that like before you can't just print money as much as you want, but no one will let them make a free cryptocurrency.
