Title: What are your expectations for bitcoin in the second quarter of 2024?
Post by: Fivestar4everMVP on March 31, 2024, 07:48:16 PM
Xup gentle men and ladies, congratulations to us all who have made it through the first quarter of 2024, it's been an awesome ride and experience holding bitcoin from last year to experience the boom we began to see in some weeks into the first quarter of this year, bitcoin performed awesomely well in the first quarter of this year, breaking through its previous all time high and recording new all time highs.
Setting new record of hitting a new all time high even before it's halving which is a few weeks away in the month of April.

With all that Bitcoin has achieved so far, I want to know your expectations for bitcoin as we step into the second quarter of the year in just few hours from now?

What is your prediction in terms of bitcoin price?
Aside the halving, are there any other events coming up in the second quarter of this year that could or has the potentials to aid bitcoin's continual growth; that you know of? Please share with us..

I don't know of any other event asides the halving, the BTC halving is the most significant event in the network this year and it is going to happen very soon. I don't think BTC is going to pump so high in this next quarter, we know from the past that the price does not immediately start rising after the halving, so there might be a little correction after the event. However, i think we are going to see ~ $100k in the final quarter of the year, so it is something to look out for.

2nd quarter of 2024, right? This means that this is the period after the Bitcoin halving. There are several possibilities that will happen, because lately, most people are quite busy with the condition of crypto and other things. And for the BTC price in the second quarter, later it will probably experience a slight increase and the process will continue. And of course there is a price correction too. but, it won't be big. More likely to progress in price increases which might start preparations for a real bullish era. I'm not bad at predicting the price of Bitcoin, but the possibility that we can get is the price of BTC continuing to be above $70k and further increasing significantly. Supposedly, it's probably going to $80k.

It is the time when halving occurs, when hopes rise regarding the price of Bitcoin, but since the effect of halving is long-term, it is expected that a correction will occur, so I expect the price to be between $50,000 and $60,000, but since we broke the ATH, everything is expected, and even technical analysis will not occur helps us here.

What else can we expect in the second quarter if, in the first quarter, it has surpassed the previous ATH? If you look at the consolidation that is happening on the chart or graph, it is a long horizontal movement. It's been that long that it's been happening for a few days or a week. I think the range is really just showing that the trend that happened recently will continue.

So for now, I just buy as long as there is an opportunity. This second quarter, we will see its rally again, and we also expect that after the halving of Bitcoin, another correction will happen again. We should also be prepared and be careful that we are not left behind.

I am expecting that Bitcoin will soon try to climb and reach the $100K zone and then maybe if there will be more energy left it can test the $150 level which can provide more excitement for the whole cryptocurrency market. Of course, this is my optimistic prediction and I am just wishing that it can come true soon. I am still seeing a continuing interest with ETFs operating in the market which, of course, can mean a continuing demand for BTC coupled with ignited retail investors coming in to take advantage of the frenzy. Let's hope there will not be bad news coming from SEC in the next quarter that can unnecessarily dampen the market.

Hoping for the price to hike more after the halving and for a new ATH. Binance and SCB have promising predictions with the latter estimating BTC will cross 150K end of this year. It's all a waiting game and anyway, most of us at the r100k community are all about HODLing and keeping faith. The trick is to continue investing in high potential altcoins alongside BTC to maximize gains. You can minimize risk and go for leverage free trading with the right crypto tool. I mean who wouldn't want automated, low-rish, high-reward trading? Check r100k for more details!

I support BTC, but I don't expect it to reach $100K or $150K in Q2. That would make the market too hot, and the subsequent correction could be a crypto winter in the second half of 2024. If that happens, most ALTS will not have time to grow, we will not have an altseason, and the crypto market will not develop significantly. I consider altseason to be the important part of the market, and BTC only has a leading role.

I want to see BTC adjust right after Halving in 6-8 months, creating conditions for many alts to grow and many ALTS/BTC pairs to reverse from downtrend to uptrend, preparing for the market to-the-moon at the end of this year and early next year.

its halving year i think majority of us will expect a bullish market. with the unexpected growth even before the halving something is just making me think its not quite right. i be hedging the market and put half by coins to stablecoin before halving actually and seen how the market reacts today, it seem right that i should expect something crazy will happen.

if not for the halving, i think a lot of us would have dumped already. people have gained huge profit already since last year.

Exactly, many people want the exchange conditions to always be bullish, but world economic conditions are not like that, there are times when there will be bearish where many will sell coins at low prices. Those who have a lot of money will have the potential to move cryptocurrency prices in markets.

Well, I don't want to be too optimistic, but I think the trend will continue to rise, although I wouldn't expect an exaggerated rise, for example, that would take the price above $100,000. I think there will be ups and downs, with more of a tendency to go up and be towards the end of the quarter between $80,000 and $90,000.

Looking at how it is going right now, I have to say there will be some sort of changes in the end. I am not saying that we are going to end up with major changes or anything like that, we are just going to be forced to do something that will not be normal looking. So all in all, I am guessing that the best thing to do would be wait, because right now things looking a little hectic. Reaching to 70k+ again should be our priority, and I do not think that it will be that hard, if we can first do that, then the rest will follow I am sure. This time, when we go up, I am not seeing us going back down again.

As of the moment, the enter of the 2nd quarter isn't quite good for the market because we've seen Bitcoin went down to as low as $65,000, and all altcoins are also down in price, but even that happened, I'm still optimistic with the whole market not only for this quarter, but for the whole year as well.

My expectation towards Bitcoin for this Q2 of 2024 is that, Bitcoin's price will try to surpass the $80,000, and we will see a gradual increase towards the price of Bitcoin. This upwards movement will not happen immediately after the halving event, but it might happen weeks after the event. TBH, we might see Bitcoin's price decreasing a few weeks after the halving event for some reasons. :D

As for the events aside from the halving event, I don't see any significant event that might cause the price of Bitcoin to go up. It's the sentiment of the investors towards Bitcoin that would push it's price upwards. :)

For our events, no one knows in the future because there will always be many surprises in cryptocurrency

Instead of going ahead the price of bitcoin is going down but for believers it is not a new thing therefore once halving take place the price of bitcoin will smoothly go up but this dip is because of correction.

90k$ is not impossible but is also not so easy that in just a month it will go from 65k$ to 90k$ but if we think broadly then one day such price will achieved and may be this happens in current year or may be it takes time upto 2025.

Yes, maybe we will see close to $90k in the second quarter, wouldn't be surprised if it cross 6 digits.
For our events, no one knows in the future because there will always be many surprises in cryptocurrency
And since this is a bull run year or at least the catalyst is going to happen, which is the halving, there are many things that could happen that will really surprised. One thing to mentioned is that we already established new all time high already before the halving itself at 73k$ and so we might see the price going above that price in the second quarter or even more. So as we say, exciting times ahead after the block halving.

I would not say that BTC price is 'going down' right now, nobody expected it to set a new all time high before the halving, but it did because of the spot etf approval in the u.s.. Now what BTC price is experiencing is just a correction in price, which is normal and when the halving happens, the price will go as high as ~ $100k or even more.

With all that Bitcoin has achieved so far, I want to know your expectations for bitcoin as we step into the second quarter of the year in just few hours from now?

Sincerely, I don't even know what to expect anymore because of recent activities that have occurred. With the approval of the Bitcoin ETFs, we expected an instant pump, which didn't come as early as we had thought in January. Luckily, we began to notice some growth around late February if I remember correctly. The effect of the ETFs' approval was so effective that it created more awareness and led to the breaking of the previous ATH, setting a new ATH record of about $73.8K. From records, having an ATH before halving isn't something we are quite familiar with, which makes the activities after halving quite unpredictable for me, though we might start noticing a downtrend anytime sooner before the halving.

I can't make any definitive predictions right now, but if we continue in an uptrend after the halving, then we should be hovering around $61-68K for a while. However, if we were to enter a downtrend, then we might drop down to values between $50-59K. As I mentioned, nothing is certain.

The crypto space is full of surprises. Unexpected events might arise at any point in time, leading to either positive or negative effects. Whichever it may be, we have to be prepared.

My first expectation is in seeing the market getting to a new all time highs, just as we are still in the vibes of the bullrul, i anticipate in seeing a new all time high, also, i wish to see that there is also an increase in the adoption of bitcoin because this will as well allow many to get into the use of bitcoin in their financial economy and by engaging on such, the value in it will increase and there is going to be more widen opportunities with bitcoin investment.

I agree given that we are on a countdown for the halving event anything can happen anytime soon so let's just prepare because we don't know if it goes up or down. But for $90k price I am pretty bullish on that even BTC reaching $100k+ is very positive on my perspective.

There is no other event I know of if not the halving and the majority of us are looking up to that since it is believed that after the halving comes the bull run in months to come. And between those months, a correlation will happen to shake off the weak hands out of crypto space. For those who have the funds and know the potential of bitcoin will love to accumulate bitcoin at a discount price and hodl it until their dream price come to fulfilment either this year or not year.

The price will be always rising or declining. Since we are almost in the day of halving, I guess the price should try to increase a lot. The hype of Bitcoin halving ideally triggers the raise of Bitcoin and altcoins prices. But I don't know why it dropped quite a lot, it seems just trying to rise up again.

But for $90k price I am pretty bullish on that even BTC reaching $100k+ is very positive on my perspective.
When it will be $90k or $100k? D0 you mean in the next Bitcoin halving?
I doubt if it can be above $90k in the next halving. I just assume the price only around $80k - $85k for the highest price.

We went through a very good first quarter and all time high.  It is very difficult to predict how well we can go in the second quarter.  We dived into dumping from the beginning of the second quarter so we cannot go through anything good in the second quarter.  As we still have three months we may have to go through the dumping because the market will be dumping after the bitcoin halving in the second quarter and if the market is after the halving and if it is in the second quarter it could be a few months.  So in the second quarter the bitcoin market will be between $60k to $70k and maybe even $50k.

Setting new record of hitting a new all time high even before it's halving which is a few weeks away in the month of April.

Making History, and it also surprised me, it was the moment when Bitcoin's rise seemed to be faster.
This is due to the large number of buyers who began to enter, and many new investors and even agencies also began to enter.

Bitcoin's dominance is getting stronger and added to the gradual rise of altcoins.
We've already entered a bull market and are getting ready to fly further.

$100k will still be achieved in the near future, I am very optimistic to wait for the ATH $100k++.
While waiting I started buying again gradually at a lower price.

The range will be at May - August. This is right after the Bitcoin halving to  be done. Commonly, the market will face declining at first, probably it will be much bigger decline. But, this will not last long. After Bitcoin halving, commonly, the news about Bitcoin will be more interesting, make certain progress, and also many positive trends will be surrounding. That is why, many people will predict that the price will keep rising up in the second quarter of this year.

Although this will be probably not really much in rising up, but, it will really influence how the market will be going on.
Bitcoin halving is still several days remining. And the prediction about the prices will be, are really various.
See some interesting information right here:, one of them.

The second quarter of this year is going to be an important one for Bitcoin because bitcoin halving will start this quarter. Although Bitcoin halving doesn't show much difference in price as soon as Bitcoin halving starts, it takes about a year to have full effect. And that's why I definitely don't expect Bitcoin to go skyrocketing this second quarter. I think we can see a positive impact on the price of Bitcoin but it will probably stay around 80k. Although Bitcoin has so far broken all its records and crossed its all time high price before the halving start.

We don't confirm that one event is the only cause of bitcoin price volatility. Aside from the Bitcoin halving, other events could just suddenly come up and contribute to the price surge or dip of Bitcoin. Some institutional investors could decide to buy a huge sum of Bitcoin at once, and that can cause the price to spike, or some whales can also decide to dump a huge sum of Bitcoin, and that can cause the price to dip. We cannot for sure predict the event that will come up, but no matter what happens, let's stick to our strategy of DCAing, using every opportunity we have to buy the dip and hold. Also, set some price targets to sell at so that when the price spikes, an investor will not get confused about what price to sell at or not.

I can say that until this moment before few days from the halving event, things are looking positive and the chart is healthy, as long as we don’t see any negative news, beside more businesses and major companies adopting Bitcoin as a main or part of their payment methods, We are looking for 90k level before the end of this year.
I prefer to see a slow momentum growth rather than a very quick growth which most of the time lead to bigger losses in price very quickly, whales and greedy people are looking into halving as a short term investment only, so let’s hope we don’t see that scenario where everyone sells after some profit.

For our events, no one knows in the future because there will always be many surprises in cryptocurrency
I think everyone is expecting the actual price to pump up abit, and this thought is also tied up with the fact that the halving month is already here and we know from pst records of the price movement that after the halving, the price normally goes up abit and I know so many investors are eagerly waiting on this to actually come through, maybe the price to be at $100k or even more although I don't know if this movement can change but for the main time, it has always found a way to get the victory.

When Bitcoin wants to reach a price of $100k then there must be good news that can trigger the Bitcoin price to rise. If there is no good news that can trigger investors and whales to enter and buy Bitcoin then it will be very difficult for Bitcoin to move to such an expensive price .

Bitcoin current price is fluctuating between $65k to $70k. Although the market had broken all its past records a few days back but the market could not build a good support at that point resulting in some dumping in the market. We are nearing the middle of 2024, which would have ended this year, still about 8 to 7 months away.  Any change in the market is possible during these 8 months to 7 months. From this situation, if the market builds a good support and goes up a bit, and if it goes up and builds support again, and so on, if it continues to rise, but before the end of this month, we can see the price of Bitcoin touch $100,000. With the market dumping for a long time, we expected Bitcoin to first break all its past records and touch new records, since Bitcoin has done this, we now aim for Bitcoin to touch $100k.

My prediction for the Q2, BTC price before the halving will stagnate in the range of $64K to $68K.
And it will drop to $60K a few days/weeks after the halving. I do not or have not seen that there will be an element of surprise that could make the BTC price break more than $70k again in this Q2.
Many people predict that the ups and downs of Bitcoin prices will not be the same as the halving back in 2016 and 2020.
But I believe the situation will be the same, so the next ATH will occur at the end of 2024 or mid 2025.

You are right, BTC has really outperformed all of our expectations in the first quarter of 2024 and to be honest I think it will outperform our expectations in the 2nd and 3rd quarters of 2024 as well. But in the last quarter of 2024, it might come down, maybe we might see a little or a big correction in the last quarter of 2024. Why? MT Gox's last payment deadline. Which according to resources (https://www.coindesk.com/business/2023/09/21/mt-gox-pushes-repayments-by-a-year/) has been set to 31 October of 2024. So, as we all know the amount is so big that if given to the people they will start selling it in no time, and the market will definitely dump in October. I might be wrong so DYOR.

Plus, there are chances that the US will sell the $2 billion worth of BTC seized by Silk Road, as they transferred $60 of BTC from those funds, which is giving me the vibe that they might be thinking of transferring those funds for maybe selling purposes. So, no confirmed date is here for that, but I assume it will be after having maybe in 3rd Quarter.

These two are the main events that I think we should know of, who knows when China will decide to make crypto legal again haha. who knows other big countries (by crypto users) will start legalizing crypto as well. Who know what is going to come in front of us in future. Well, be ready for a bump ride, and I suggest we should make an exit plan.

We can't predicts what will come up in the bitcoin market as the market is filled with and unforeseen circumstances, meaning we may have this moment bull and the next bear or sideways. Apart from halving that is to take effects within few weeks now there is nothing much we can say about the market than being optimistic hoping for best of bull run take over.

With all that Bitcoin has achieved so far, I want to know your expectations for bitcoin as we step into the second quarter of the year in just few hours from now?

What is your prediction in terms of bitcoin price?
This is my prediction... the second quarter won't have a dump until below $60k, that's a very big possibility, yes... the halving hype is very busy right now, considering that many people are starting to anticipate so as not to make mistakes by studying the charts during the previous halving . We could see something stronger for BTC prices staying above $65k and above... whereas at the start of the halving we probably won't see very high daily candlesticks, but there will be lots of green candlesticks every day.

The price is likely to rise to the $85k - $90k level until the end of Q2 2024. Hopefully there are no pitfalls in the halving this time.

The year has four (4) quarters and each quarter has three (3) months. The first quarter starts from January to March, Second quarter is April to June, third quarter is July to September and the fourth quarter is October to December. And the first quarter of the year 2024 was awesome with bitcoin. Everyone who invested in bitcoin from last year would not regret and they become short term in the investment plan. But this second quarter that we are is some how stagnant in the movement of bitcoin but the price is still at the high side of the market. So we hoping that the market will still do well in this second quarter of the year.

BTC price is going to rise to ~$100k, but i am not sure this will happen in this second quarter of the year. Immediately after the halving, i predict we might have a little correction in price and then the price will rise very high in the last quarter of the year, and bring the $100k. Take note that this is just my own speculation.

Hopefully we will all be given convenience in this session, and will fight again after this session, keep the enthusiasm in looking for pockets of Bitcoin flakes so that you can get maximum profits,
Even though we see that the current BTC price is not good, this is an opportunity to increase our BTC stock if we have more money.

I also feel that it is likely possible for Bitcoin to surge above $80k this quarter and $80k is a target price at which I feel like selling a little fraction of my Bitcoin but if it actually surge above that price, it means that we definitely might see a higher price like $150k by next year, I can just hold rather than selling so soon. I don't want to be unfair with my expectation for the price of Bitcoin but $100k is not too much to expect, ☺☺.

At least if it gets to $100k, then I can rushed and sell some fraction with an expedition for the price to drop to $70k, then I can buy back again.

To add to your Bitcoin bag to save, now is not the right time, the price is too high to buy, believe me, the bearish moment will come again so it will make the price of Bitcoin and all coins collapse. Since then we have to buy Bitcoin again and save it until Next halving we sell again.

He /she can actually do the DCA so it is safer than a one time buy at the current price. If he/she has to wait I think he or she is missing the opportunity if prices will continue to rally. I personally don't wait because anytime price might go up again so yeah DCA might be more profitable on this.

With all due respect, I disagree with what Google+ said. No one knows for sure what will happen in the future, but at the point we are at, anyone who has spent years following the price of bitcoin will tell you that the price will most likely grow during 2024, and by the end of December the price will be much higher than it is now. So starting a DCA now is quite likely to be profitable.

On the other hand, I always recommend investing in bitcoin for the long term. If someone who starts now is going to hold the investment for a minimum of 4 years they should not worry about whether the price goes up or down tomorrow or next week.

My greatest expectation of Bitcoin in the second quarter of 2024 for it to be more acceptable. So far I can spend it directly without exchange in, dont know exact amount, but lets say 5k places (shops, cafes, online shops and etc). That is nothing in the size of whole world. I just wish to use it more, than hold or trade. I wish to have a place in my location, when I can scan code and pay in BTC, but not by card with toped-up btc, that will be converted automatically to EUR.

The price of Bitcoin has exceeded $60k dollars since last February. Bitcoin has been hovering between $61k and $71k for almost a long time. Although Bitcoin has already crossed ATH, the true bull market that is about to happen is yet to be seen. Bitcoin halving is only 13 days away so it is impossible to predict how much upside the bitcoin price will go during this time but we can see the high impact of the halving. Moreover, if Bitcoin turns bullish in the next 2 weeks, that is not impossible. However, the year 2025 will play an important role in the significant growth of Bitcoin. Where the possibility of crossing 1$00 is very high.

Good advice but it's also worth balancing by valuing a worthwhile investment.
If the investment value is only a little, or maybe below $ 100 it is still very minimal.
If you can, make purchases gradually so that more investment and there will be many benefits also obtained.

With a small amount and having to wait 4 years it feels like it's too long.
Unless you have thousands of dollars invested and expect prices to go up in the next 4 years.

Have you forgotten a 4-year-cycle? Theoretically, Bitcoin grew enough already in current cycle to start dropping down. Just this time, its bottom will be higher than previous. It was 4k after ATH of 19k, 10k after ATH of 67k. Dont forget that Bitcoin price growth is not a straight line that goes on 45 degree up. It also goes down. It is rather possible, that in second half of this year there might be a solid price drop. I think it will be wise to expect and hope that 60k (sort of a strong resistance today, as price goes down and bounced back from that line) will be its bottom.

Even as much we think that this is a positive year for bitcoin to soar in price, not for it to reach $100k in the second quarter of the year. The $100k you predicted can happen towards the end of the year since that will be months after the halving season because it is speculated to be so based on the history of bitcoin to skyrocket more than expected after the halving season(months later).

Well, in this second quarter of the year, I am anticipating bitcoin to fluctuate between the price of $60k-$80k after it must have experienced a correction of price.

I expect the typical post halving top to come sooner than in the past years and expect to see the peak before the calendar year end.
I don't expect any fireworks right after the halving though, I think we could even see some correction then, as many investors are putting too much weight on the moment of the halving and could get disappointed and sell when the reality doesn't meet their expectations.

If we talk about a post-halving peak, it doesn't look like there will be one because the price of Bitcoin has already peaked and printed a new ATH at $73k a few weeks ago, so that is the peak of the halving that occurred this year.

The price of Bitcoin has already created a new ATH which means that it has not yet gone higher than 73k$ which means that at the end of the current year we see another ATH but this ATH will be stronger than any other value that was created in past halving events.

Now the price is very dumping and everyone wants to see ATH again because they think that they have missed the opportunity to sell their Bitcoin at 73k$. I think once a price again reaches 73k$ then many investors will sell their Bitcoin which will not let Bitcoin to go higher.

With only 2 days and 11 hours left for Bitcoin Halving, Bitcoin price is undergoing many corrections. And in this the 2nd quarter of 2024 has started. as Bitcoin price correction is a strong price Bitcoin is getting a little bit stable. So halving can be seen as a good thing from Bitcoin. I would expect Bitcoin to make its final ATH very soon after the Halving and it could be below $90k and above $80k. But I can't say whether it will happen in Q2 2024 or not And no one can tell this

Doesn't a bullish top usually occur a year after a halving? why the last ATH will occur in Q2 this year, will there be changes in this 4 year cycle of bitcoin. Because I think the peak of ATH will occur next year. And our halving will experience a deep correction. That's a normal thing, because I see that global economic conditions are still within reasonable limits

This is my question, is the cycle changing as usual because as we can see BTC has reached the new ath yesterday in month 2, and now the price of Bitcoin is declining to reach 63k$, will this continue to fall or will it improve in the near future?
