Could Ethereum ETH replace bitcoin before it is widely accepted?
If ripple allows users to send money instantly and almost fee free, with a pretty and easy to use UI.
Plenty of money to burn on advertising and reputation building.
Business and Financial connections likely to get them accepted on large merchant sites.
Why would the average person have any interest in Bitcoin?

More important could ethereum become controlled by business or government?

I'm not suggesting any of this is fact.
Just wanna hear the opinions of people that actually know stuff.
The price is also quite stable and more than $6,000. It is the safest coin to invest for me.But, I don't think that this coin will replace Bitcoin. Now, the BTC is more stable than the ETH. ETH drops evry drastically and it is so surprising.

I think Bitcoin and ethereum are different coins. bitcoin as we all know, this is the first and most popular coin, is the best trust for us. But I don't think it will be a currency because of this maximum limit. In other words, ethereum also has other advantages, this is a smart contract. Maybe ethereum will also be more popular.

i think ethereum will be very difficult to replace bitcoin and it won't even be possible to replace bitcoin. bitcoin can be said to be the parent of every altcoin that exists, so it won't be possible to replace it.

i think ethereum is only controlled by non-government business.

If I'm honest. I prefer Ethereum than Bitcoin now. Because I've seen the potential of Ethereum, which is getting better and better, making me sure that Ethereum is a coin that is suitable for my investment in the future and makes Ethereum my next priority coin.

I prefer invest in ethereum because ethereum is so popular now and doing well on the market. It is smart contract and will be more valuable at the future.
