Okay this is getting crazy. Ripple just overtook ETH on Coinmarketcap for the No. 2 spot.

Bare in mind it has done this twice in the last couple of years, but their 2nd place didn't last long then either.
Last I checked the 4hr & 6hr RSI had reached 95, when previous record overbought conditions (in Dec/Jan) didn't closed above 90.
The Daily RSI peaked at 85 (highest since January). To say it was a FOMO rally is an understatement.
I sold all XRP today ;D

This is just a FOMO rally based on the latest news about the adoption of Ripplenet by the PNC Bank, one of the largest banks. Ripple overtook ETH because of the supply of the coins. It's only a matter of time when ETH will regain its position once again. I would suggest you sell your tokens while it's mooning. I just made about 80% profit in the current run.
Please don't blindly believe that XRP will ever cross its ATH value.
EDIT: As I said, the rise to No.2 spot was only shortlived. It has once again dropped to No.3

If xRapid gets used soon by big banks there could well be another pump, but given that XRP has already pumped 200% this week it's gotta come down first it seems.
Bare in mind the current xCurrent protocol, developed by Ripple is nothing to do with XRP... so it would seem this is a buy the rumour sell the news affair.
I still remember what happened with Verge over the pornhub announcement, looks like this might go the same way...
Good to see it's helped prop up the crypto market though, fair play!

It was short lived, the FOMO kick in and crypto is live again. I just post an article in this forum last Thursday , then on the next morning Ripple gain 50% and replace eth for the top 2 position.

Exactly friend, i also saw this development few days ago, unfortunately, the situation did not last long, as ETH quickly recover from the XRP overtake..
Nevertheless, i think ETH and her team has to work more on making ether more stronger in the market because i see there are gonna be more competitive coins/token moving to overtake ETH in the months to come.

I heard that some people siad that the fork of ETH is a scam so they’re quitting hold ETH and move to Ripple, maybe this the reason Ripple rebtake the second position from ETH

ETCV is a very perfect SCAMMER that makes everyone amazed by its vision and mission.
But in fact all of that is just a hoax, ETCV SCAM and all of them get a red flag, Ethereum gets a hard effect on the slap of news like this that ends SCAM.

Recently, stablecoins have been actively growing, and their number is increasing. The massive emergence of stable coins of states, including the digital yuan, is on the way. The stablecoin USDT has already reached the third place in terms of capitalization. I'm not even sure if it's worth including stablecoins in the CoinMarketCap table. After all, they should hardly be classified as a full-fledged cryptocurrency.

Last time from what I’ve heard/read XRP lagged BTC. A lot of BTC holders sold into XRP because it was faster to transfer and less fees. That caused XRP to swell. Well this time we have BTC possibly going to $70k. If we see the same movement into XRP, do you think that could create enough liquidity for the banks to get involved with XRP the way Ripple have described? And how much higher do you think a move like that could push XRP? I know you’re a technical guy and maybe there is a way to look at what a move like that would look like.

my honest opinion, i think xrp would reach between $5-10 but it'll probably be worth double that in 2021 considering bitcoin is increasing.come on top 2 there year end.hope you guys understand.

Ethereum did not give up the rank 2 place. Although Ripple overtake ETH in the rank there's nothing wrong with that xrp impressive performance over eth. No negative feeling to eth, now Eth is in rank 2 again over xrp.
