Someone said to me that the recent technology advancement and developments has also contributed to the rate of crime and corruption in our society today.
Its true doe, looking at the cyber crimes and different types of negative things people do with the internet today, but let's not allow only the negative part to affect our use of the internet, rather we should spread useful information about the internet.
Today in our society technology advancement has so many advantages and also disadvantages, but the advantages are what we should focus on.

I think it's worthwhile to look at a few particular instances. See how technology has being applied to fight human trafficking. A couple of years ago, the Polaris Initiative created TraffickCam, a smartphone application that allows people to circulate pictures of accommodation while going somewhere. The software uses the pictures to build a database that law enforcement agencies may use to determine where human trafficking is taking place. So, rather than becoming employed to commit unlawful activity, technology is used to prevent it. There are innumerable such cases like this. Technology has also been used to combat misconduct by making government data increasingly available and open, allowing individuals to hold their leaders responsible.

Whatever technology we have today and the internet, there are many people in this day and age who are using technology and the internet for good and bad, to be honest. And we see and witness that too. Because there might not be cybercrime issues, but because of the internet and technology.
But there wouldn't be a marketing business online if it weren't for the technology we have today. It means that it can be used for good and bad, and if we have problems with them, it also becomes a way for us to think of a solution.

OP, one thing I would like you to know is that every thing in this world or life have advantage and also disadvantage. There is always a way to do or use something to either profit one or to harm one. That is life for you so you would not blame those people who always see or use the negative aspects to enrich themselves or to harm others. That is how things are programmed to happen. It has been so right from the days of the old and it is still repeating itself as long as man still exists on the surface of earth.
Technology advancements are quite alright and welcomed as to cause for development in the society but do not forget that there are those who take the lapses of the technology to their own advantage to undo or harm people. This goes a long way to telling you that in life there is the good side of something also also there is the bad side of something too.
But it is wise we as learned and matured humans should always do with the right thing at the right time to benefit ourselves and others around us that posterity would always speak good of is when we are no more.

It is true! Technology and internet can be used in any crimes, but technology and internet can give a lot of benefits to us when we ise it in a good way.

I hate it when someone will draw the attention of others to the negative side of something without even mentioning to them the positive side of the same thing.
Nothing on this earth that doesn't have a negative side. Everything does and that doesn't make them to be grouped bad.
The same technological advancement, someone you know wants to paint bad to you, did he or she fail to mention how it has helped the human race to get things done easily without stress, help in gaining information and makes communication easier etc?
My point is that, before someone condemns a thing, let them first of all think about the benefit it brings to humanity, not the negative sides that people use it for.

It depends on the use of those who use the internet, if they use the internet for corruption, crime or other negative things then there will definitely be problems.
But if they use the internet for good, it will definitely produce positive value

Every innovation has two sides but whether we accept it or not, technology and the internet have made life easy. You can communicate with and do business with anyone anywhere in the world in your comfort zone. Not minding that some scrupulous elements are undermining the good sides of the internet, we should always embrace the positive sides.

If the internet was only made for the positive uses as you may say then there would not be those features of operations that are in used for all those negative activities so, we can not just eliminate them all. I understand you are only trying to aspire some positive vibes in order to limit the internet negative uses but I also feels those on Such stage of operating negatively with the internet are not misusing the intense of the internets neither is it being advised.
Hence I know, th internet is a world of privilege where everyone has their choices on how to utilize it.
I can only say to the people out there to stay focus and alert for the use of the internets and the advanced developments of today's can be critically harmful to the society.

Internet and technology has sure made the world a lot more of a global village where communication has been made a lot more easier. Now people can do anything and everything online without going anywhere. With the help of the newest Metaverse technology, people can now travel, buy properties and even get married online. Technology and internet has really catapulted the world's economy and society to an unimaginable level. Opening our eyes to possibilities we couldn't have even imagined and that's something really worth embracing.
And just as you said, rather than focusing on the negative aspect of this wonderful innovation, we should focus more on the positive aspect and help develop it to make the world a lot more better than it already is.

It is not the internet that caused the crime rate to increase but it is human who are criminals that takes advantage of technology and use it in the wrong way. No matter how hard we try to limit crime, people are ways there to take advantage of the situation to scam people of their hard earn money. Before internet came into existence, there have been scammers and illicit activities going on, and it is only when the world will come to an end that such will no longer exist. What we should focus on are the benefits that this technology offers us and not the negative side, because everything created or invented by man have a negative side. The internet or technology have done more of good than arm to people.

We are spending less on our communication because of the internet, some 30 years ago I had to spend more than a dollar to communicate with someone from the other side of the World using a phone, now with the internet you can chat 24/7 and it will only cost $20 in the internet bill.
In the past, you had to buy an encyclopedia which cost a fortune to be able to access a lot of information but now everything is just keyword away, the internet and technology have done a lot of wonders for us, of course, there's negative but the positive outweighs the negative ones.

Technology and the internet is a 'tool', people can use it for both the right and wrong reasons, however the advantages of the internet and technology outweighs the cons. Even if the world didn't advance technologically, people would still commit crimes and do illicit things, so the internet has surely made life easier and better for everyone, and more good has been done than harm.
