What are the Achilles' heels or weaknesses of Ethereum?

I think that the network bandwidth (the number of transactions per second) is too small, and later with the increase in the number of transactions there can be problems. Buterin promised to fix this problem, but in EOS and several other platforms the problems of scalability are solved.

For me I think the only weakness of bitcoin is that it's volatile

I think it  is Gas. Sometimes it works just fine and sometimes when network is busy it is getting insanely expensive to transfer and the whole concept idea disappears.

Main weakness as any other crypto is how much media is influencing it. One day of bad news and Ethereum drops to the deep sh..t. I don't think it is normal practice.
