Title: Why ETH gas fee still unbearable?

Many people expect that the ETH gas prices will be down after ETH 2.0 launch. But ETH 2.0 is already operational but ETH gas price no still the same. It won't reduce or this will take more time?

We must also take into account the fact that in most cases, users of the erc20 platform themselves inflate the transaction value in order to be one of the first to get their transactions approved. At least Ethereum 2.0 should solve the scalability problem, and as a result, lower prices per transaction.

Actually, the cost of ETH gas is not always high, but we have to see that moment. If the Ethereum platform is transaction-heavy, it will inevitably be expensive because people will charge high prices so that their transactions are quickly confirmed.
Therefore, it's good if before we make a transaction we check Gas Costs first here https://etherscan.io/gastracker

I think the launch of eth 2.0 will not have an impact on ethereum gas fees, because ethereum gas fees are affected by the computation of the ethereum protocol, whereby if there are more transactions to be processed then the amount of gas fees will increase or decrease.

ETH price increases due to demand rising for DeFi projects investments and ETH staking and other demand, so I think ETH gas fees will not be reduced and higher in coming months.

ETH 2.0 has three phases and it's only now on first phase which is named as BeaconChain. After finishing all of these three phase, we can see a major impact on transection/gas fess. Also we need to wait for sharding ( sharding is on phase two) to get lower gas fee which isn't launched yet.

Yes, I see many people predicted Ethereum 2.0 launch will solve the gas issue, But I see the gas is still high. I think gas depends on trafic ,not Ethereum 2.0 release. I think we should wait and see the progress of Ethereum 2.0.

I think it will take much longer for this ETH Gas price to fall after the launch of Ethereum 2.0.  Because if the price of ETH Gas continues to be high then this will make Ethereum lovers disappointed, of course Vittalik doesn't want this to happen.

Currently, gwei price is only about 2x, quite low compared to the previous time. However I think the current ETH network's transaction fees are still quite high with over $ 0.1 per transaction. We need a fee amount 10 times smaller than that to be reasonable.

Of course, the price of ETH gas will fall, but not from the first day of Ethereum 2.0 launch.  These improvements are multifaceted and broken down into a number of stages.  They will only be fully completed within two years.  Once, Buterin said that already at the first stage, the scalability of ethereum will increase to one thousand transactions per second, and at the last stage it will grow to several hundred thousand transactions per second.  We need to wait a while.

I think the Gas Fee is based on the price of the coin. We know that for now Eth is priced at $ 590 which in the previous month was around $ 200 and at that time the Gas fee for Eth's transactions was very cheap. with the increase in price which causes the Gas Fee Eth to increase.

at least we'll have to look at the next few days to find out. Maybe all need a process

as I know ETH 2.0 focused to increase the transactions speed up to 100k tx per second. with my own opinion GAS fee ethereum now its normal with volume transaction all of erc20 tokens so big. we can see uniswap volume reached up to 600M only for 24 hours its not a small volume transaction..

it's not all of ERC20 transaction.. only Uniswap volume

I think $.1 is reasonable enough. This gas price might be too heavy to a country where such price has big exchange to their fiat. This is just my opinion.

Happy to note that. I am really expecting that there can be lowered and more acceptable level of gas fees as what we are experiencing right now can too much to stomach. In fact, I am considering the high fees to be a great insult to cryptocurrency itself. This is not supposed to be this way, and we the users should broadcast and spread this message so that people behind the Ethereum network can be inspired to really do everything they can for the sake of the ordinary people who are believing on them and the great potential of Ethereum 2.0.

I don't believe ethereum 2.0 will solve the gas issue. I think ethereum 2.0 will make deposit coming and change marketcap. Ethereum is still stronger now and really good for daily trading and hold for several months.

This is right answer, beaconchain is live but technically 2.0 hasn't launched, hence no change in gas fee prices yet. Personally I refuse to pay more than 4.1 gwei per transaction, sô have left a transaction to buy ALTS in the mempool to clear when it clears, whether this month or next.

If you want to protest high gas fees, join everyone else in the mempool with 4 gwei transaction gas fees  ;)

ETH gas fee depends on how many transaction are happening. As the transaction increases the gas fee also increases.
In ETH2.0 the #DevelopmentTeam  made many changes to the blockchain to increase transaction speed and less the fee. But by now only the beacon chain is launched it is only the starting. It will take almost 2 years for full ETH2.0  to roll out. Then maybe the transaction fee will decrease.

Actually fro now, a gas fee of ETH has been decreasing compared to several months ago. In fact, the increase of the fee will depend on the crowd of the transaction in the network. So, is better to check and recheck the fee in the gas tracker before transferring.

DEX DeFi traders are faced with Ethereum's scaling cap. The growth of commissions reduced the trading volumes in October, November continued this trend. Due to high commissions, traders massively switch to CEX exchanges and if nothing changes, I think the outflow of traders from DEX will continue.

I guess opposite will happen. Everyone hoped that with Ethereum 2.0 release, fees would go down, but they did not. That means that Ethereum 2.0 brought nothing extraordinary, except staking. That not what peoples really wanted. They will become disappointed and the price would go down or at least wont grow if Bitcoin grows.

If I'm not mistaken, Ethereum 2.0's plans included a solution that would lower the cost of gas transactions on the Ethereum blockchain, but perhaps Ethereum developers are still working on this, so for now we need to wait and hope that the problem with gas will be resolved, but for now we need to wait for the best moments when the price of gas will be very low and only then we can make transactions.

Yes, Ethereum's gas is much more fee. Really the matter has become much more unbearable. If this continues, many crypto exchangers will stop paying for Ethereum from these projects. The number of tokens that some AirDrop gives to the users to exchange the tokens and give them fee with the withdraw all ends up only because of the high fee of this Ethereum. Everyone thought that Ethereum 2.0 release would reduce Ethereum's fee but it didn't happen.

The increase in ETH Gas prices was also caused by ourselves, we were the ones who set high gas prices so that our transactions would arrive first. And this is due to the density of people who are active on the Ethereum platform, but for now the price of Gas is quite low.  I just checked!

Ethereum 2.0 will be completed in three Phases (Phase 0, Phase1 and Phase 2) which is needed a longer time started from 1st December 2020. Already Phase 0 (beacon chain) started. It will basically focus on Proof of Stakes (PoS) mechanism and the registry of validators. Phase 1 will start from 2021 which will upgrade Ethereum Blockchain's Scalibility. We have to wait at least Phase 0 and Phase 1 to be successfully competed. After this, we can expect faster transaction, low gas fees and so on facilities that we are expecting.

It doesn't depend on the rising of prices because it mostly depends on the usage of dapp which are running on the ethereum blockchain. For an example, if i need to make a transection/operation of a dapp on ethereum blockchain on fast gas fee, it may take more than 1 minute. But i need to confirm that within 10 seconds, so i'll try to use higher gas fee than the fast option. And majority of the users do the samething just like me, than it'll increase the gas fee because i'll use 50 gwei and other will try to use 55 gwei and another one will try to use 65 gwei. By this way, more and more people will start to incrase that gas fee and it'll automatically increase on the blockchain.

As in other articles and forums I have visited, the issue of high Gas costs because ETH2 is not fully working, it still takes a little longer.

Quote
The complete rollout of Eth2 will take several years. In the meantime, one existing technology—rollups— can help Ethereum scale and reduce gas costs in the immediate future. Rollups provide a means of bundling transactions off-chain and later submitting them to the main blockchain in batches7, which should enable Ethereum to support a 200-fold increase in transactions in the near term. This intermediate solution—known as Phase 1.5—also means developers don’t have to wait for Eth2 to use Dai and the Maker Protocol at scale in their dapps.  (https://ethereum-magicians.org/t/a-rollup-centric-ethereum-roadmap/4698)

As ethereum 2.0 is already launched and it's on Beacon Chain phase where we won't get any result of reducing gas fee. But in 2nd phase, sharding, we may see a major effect on the gas fee of each transections. As sharding will split ethereum blockchain into more sub blockchain with their own data and each shards can confirm more transections which will be increase the transection speed and decrease of network fees. Also, correction is needed to take off for a bullish rally, mate. Hope all of us grab more eth for the next ATH of it.

Just imagine when we want to send erc20 tokens, we have to pay 3-5 USD at the fastest speed.

We must learn to offer our own transaction fees that can be adjusted in our wallets. But nevertheless, one should not rely too much on cheap transactions, since the volume of transactions increases with the arrival of new users and new projects that use the platform.

Indeed, it can be designed to make the transaction as small as possible, but we don't know when the transaction will be processed because usually the one with the highest GAS fee is the one who is processed first.
It is also possible that the Miners want to generate lots of Ethereum mining fast and leave it a little late which uses low fees.

Transaction fees on the ethereum network should decrease significantly in the later stages of Ethereum 2.0 adoption. These improvements are designed to last for about two years. Although this issue and the issue of growing scalability of ethereum worries a lot, so far I have not seen any time frame for when this should happen. We just need to wait a little longer.

The cost of ETH Gas is indeed very high at the moment because the Ethereum platform is busy with transactions, and this has disappointed many people. We recommend that we wait for the price of gas to fall before we make a transaction.

The market is good position that affect the shitcoins to increase. Therefore the withdraw transaction is getting to a massive demand that will become congested. Even you withdraw small amount the gas fee will not adjust. The price of Ethereum increase and also the gas fee of Eth. Think before do transaction. If not really important better to wait for low gas fee.

After DeFi emerged, Ethereum gas fees become higher from 5-20 gwei to once 500 gwei. Now to make a single transaction needs $8-$10 and sometime it claims even more than $50 which is ridicules but we don't have to do.
Ethereum 2.0 already started launch and to make final results, we have to wait even one year. Now old version works for measuring gas fee, new version will work after full completion. Then transaction cost will reduce.

You are right, the gas fee of ETH or ERC20 is so damn high. The fee touches more than 200 gwei, this is very high as long as I use the ERC20 tokens. And because of this many tokens are still not been able to transfer because of the high fees. still waiting for the next decreasing fee

Many people expect that the ETH gas prices will be down after ETH 2.0 launch. But ETH 2.0 is already operational but ETH gas price no still the same. It won't reduce or this will take more time?
Alright guy, we all waited for launching of Ethereum 2.0 plafrorm for which that it may reduce Ethereum exessive network fees but Ethereum 2.0 already launched but Ethereum network remaining unchanged and still increasing.

Ethereum's gas fees are really high and troublesome. Ethereum's gas fee is based on the number of transactions. After the release of Ethereum 2.0, I thought the gas fee would go down a lot. But it has not yet been utilized in the Ethereum blockchain. Hopefully this problem will be solved in the future.

I think Ethereum take advantage the current market condition where we can see the bullish presence is in there. It means the more the bullish market is the more the transactions will be made. In short the more demands the higher the gas fee for faster transaction.

These days the gas fees is incredibly high, making it impossible for people carry out transactions with Ethereum, and also eth is pumping so we won't any low gas fee anytime soon, and I think the gas fees are still high because eth 2.0 isn't fully operational yet, but once it's fully operational we are expected to see lower gas fees compared to now.

Yea, you are right that after Ethereum 2.0 adoption gas fee will be down but as we are small investor or trader we can not wait for it. Our investment is low and transaction also so if we left all our investment into gas fee then what would be? I think ETH team should follow about this matter so that we can get relax.

Ridiculously unbearable to say the list, is it that till now vitalik is not aware of the situation of the eth high gas fee or they haven't come around a solution to it, because surely they can't keep still why high gas fee is burning hole in people's pocket.

ETH 2.0 won't suddenly drop the current gas fee, especially in this bullish season. There are too many transactions happening every minute, so it is normal if the gas fee becomes higher. But the gas fee can drop after the correction start to happen. Many people stop buy-sell, so the transaction isn't as many as before and the gas fee declines.
