ETH/USD has jumped 36% following the announcement of a listing on leading US crypto exchange Coinbase.

Can't believe they chose this of all the coins to pick from. This has been abandoned by the real ethereum community so it's not a great choice in my opinion.

To me it has alot to do with Ethereum Classic is likely not to be a security since Ethereum isnt.. I see this being a MAJOR factor in what they add vs dont... plus the implementation is probably easier since they had ETH before the fork or whatever.
