Mining can be done in a lot of ways. Using a browser's extension do even work pretty well. Also, you can invest a lot of money and purchase yourself hardware and software to mine. New coins for mining, xcrypt.

Probably not so new but profitable coins for mining now Siacoin (legal in most countries, value has continued to grow over time and deliver huge ROI now), Decred (have low supply (21.000.000), Zcash.
I mine Sia now  with Innosilicon S11, using hash-power of mining service Wattum, withdraw every day, data centers located at Canada.
Let's see how their service will work in future.

There are several coins that can be mined and are very profitable. I have mined Litecoin some time ago, and now I'm trying my luck by mining Monero. The news that I got, Monero is resistant to ASIC. That's why this coin can provide good profits for miners.

Siacoin is one of the coins that can be mined. This coin is reportedly very safe to store data. You can also mine Siacoin because these coins are being hunted by miners. And you can mine this coin with the GPU.

Many still doubt the quality of Bytcoin. But Bytcoine is the first cryptonote-based coin that is anonymous or cannot be tracked. As a new coin, this Bytcoin can be mined with GPU, CPU and Android.

New coins are great for bringing value to the community.  When you have a low hashrate it's the best place to start.  Network hashrates are low and you will get more coins compared to when they start to mature.  When these coins hit exchanges value goes up exponentially even if only temporarily as demand spikes.  It's later on down the road with a non-established coin that you have to start worrying about revenue potential.

@sampoerna, do you also mine siacoin? And does the coin really make a profit? I will be very happy if you share your experience mining new coins like Siacoin. Because if the coin is good, I will join in mining Siacoin.
