Yes ,That's could be a good idea to hold XLM. Steller is also a good coin to hold .It has a great platform and great future also .So that its your good idea to hold XLM.

the best altcoin in my opinion is ETH because it stands alone which is a rival of BTC with a very stable price even though now the price is undeniably very falling

Yes stellar and XLM are good coin to hold, but the best to hold now is ETH not minding the fall in market price.

I knew Ethereum would have the most votes before I voted ;D It will still be the no.1 altcoin for me even if Ripple is temporarily in 2nd place.

I voted for Stellar.
I would usually vote for ethereum but I read that ethereum 2.0 would be delayed until 2020 and that they will instead make a temporary solution called ethereum 1x to fill the gap.

ETH and XLM both are good coins. But i always prefer ethereum. Now price of ethereum is very low. So you can buy more ethereum. If you hold ethereum and you will get more profit. Also you can buy Eos, Neo, Xrp etc.

The best choice is Ethereum, you can compare how eth has a good product, it's easy to use and has a smart contract. But you have to do your own research to choose which coins are suitable for you to have.

I think I will hold back, ethereum, Xrp. Because both of them are also good altcoins, so you can make profits in the long run, seeing the development now the price is getting better.

in my opinion the best altcoin is ethereum because ethereum is a pretty good altcoin if it's used as a long-term investment asset, because ethereum is an altcoin that has many users and fans, besides being targeted by many investors to make a profit

I choose for Ripple (XRP). Although the result is only 1 person voted XRP (me), I guess many of you thinking to hold this coin as the best choice now. I am confidence with this coin to the moon. ;D

In my opinion, the most recommended coin to hold is XRP. XRP looks good in its price improvement, quite easy to rise during bear market. The market cap is also growing very fast currently. It means people believe in this coin to invest.

I bought AION on Binance Exchange when the price is around $5 dollars and up and now the price has decreased
dramatically to $0.172153 and lose more than 90%+ of my investments but I still believe in this project because
currently, it is using the most advanced blockchain system a blockchain 3.0 and I really think that is still undervalued.

I personally am more interested in investing in altcoin, Terutana ethereum, the simple ethereum reason that is easy to reach (in terms of price) ethereum is accepted by many, ethereum often experiences fluctuations in value and ethereum is often used as an alternative to bitcoin as moneycurrency.

I'm a NEO fan, think they'll make some big moves over the next 12-18 months. Have a small holding in a couple of the others too, but that's my shout for a long term hold. I guess time will tell. Either way I'm hoping for an overall market improvement through 2019.

I was actually pleasantly surprised to see Aion between the choices as it is still one of my favorite projects out there, if not my favorite one. It is extremely undervalued now, so I would vote for it with no hesitation.

I think Ethereum, XRP, and XLM are the three coins that are recommended to buy. I am no doubt to advise you to keep them on wallets. Those are top altcoins with promising future. We no need to choose one or two, just get all the coins for investment. ;)
