Crypto currency Mining / Re: Companies offering Mining Services
« on: February 19, 2018, 12:06:35 AM »
In my opinion, they're not sustainable. Even Hydrominer that I have so much faith in has no information their site about the mining they promised to start on 7th Feb. I'll just advise you not to use these cloud mining contracts. Self mining will do, or better still, get your coins and tokens in exchanges.

I tend to agree with you, I got most of my coins from exchanges and invested 1/4 of the initial sum in Hydrominer. I'm looking forward to the start of the mining that they promised.

Not really, because you don't have your wallet's private keys. I looked up litecoin official webpage and decided to use the LiteVault online wallet.

Just making sure what you are looking for. Do you want to use your own devices power to mine cryptocurrencies and are looking for a provider to help you with this or a are you looking to rent hashing power power for money (be it fiat or crypto) from a professional hardware hoster?

Hi, I was interested here in comparing and learning about experience that people had with mining providers which rent hashing power.

I've found two other ones: Sun Miningand Crypterra

Crypto currency Mining / Companies offering Mining Services
« on: February 06, 2018, 09:07:13 AM »
Dear all,
I looked at various threads in the board, but didn't find a discussion about the mining services offered online by crypto-mining companies. I would like to ask if you have tried them and what is/was your experience?

The big companies that I know of are:
Genesis mining/
Hashflare

Small players:
Sun Mining , but be cautious due to this discussion https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2561604.20
Crypterra

On Wednesday 7 February https://www.hydrominer.org/ will start providing "green" mining services.

Edit: added two more companies and link to relevant thread at bitcointalk

Reputation, Scams & Phishing / Ponzi schemes
« on: January 26, 2018, 03:21:32 PM »
Hi all,
few days ago I received some airdrop alerts and it seems to me that these two are ponzi schemes because of their multi-level structure and push to put money there:
https://referral.current.us/
https://www.hedgeconnect.co/

So be careful.

Why not a 1070 Nvidia card? Isn't it more energy efficient?

It is centralized in the sense that the Ripple company owns and holds most of the supply and releases it step by step when they see it fit.

Whole market is in the red again so yes buy now. But prepare to hold for a bit if the whole market tanks further and don't invest more than you are willing to loose.

I totally agree, this is important advice for any newcomer. And also holding may give you better return than trading, because you never know when we are at a peak or at the bottom.

You can also take part in airdrops, then move these coins to an exchange that supports them and sell them & buy BTC, ETH or Litecoin.
