Both are with bright future. If you do not have enough budget to buy at least 1BTC then Ethereum is better to buy because it is cheap and most popular after bitcoin. I mentioned Buying at least full coin for good returns.
I am a Cryptocurrency expert and investing in Crypto since 2013 when it was the beginning of Bitcoin so, I saw many ups and downs in the market. i always see threads where people are so desperate and eager to prove that ethereum is greater and will be greater than bitcoin. It aint possible. Bitcoin is and will always be the face of cryptocurrency! why am i saying this? Because its the alpha.

Ethereum is greater than bitcoin and I say yes. Greater supply means possible to have greater demand than low supply in circulation. Bitcoin supply is less than ethereum for ethereum have great supply than btc.

Ethereum is the next thing to Bitcoin. We all love ethereum and hope it rises above bitcoin one day in value but that time is not up yet. For now, Bitcoin still remains the best of all cryptocurrencies

Ethereum as greater than bitcoin is probably possible in terms of supply and demand, the uses and purposes in crypto. That's what my opinion.

If we classify the use of ethereum and bitcoin we can say both are greater but if we specify the purpose and being the first then we can identify bitcoin is greater than ethereum.

What do you think about this, and what are your assumptions?
I don't think it is. This can only happen if ethereum can go forward during the dip of bitcoin even the market cap and the price of bitcoin will not hit by ethereum.

Agreed on your point, it's also very clear that the prices of Bitcoin affect ETH and i think that ETH may not meet or over take Bitcoin now or in the near future.
Ethereum’s purpose is to offer and run decentralized smart-contract applications powered by blockchain technology that do not go offline and cannot be altered. It provides users with a platform and programming language to build the applications on. while
Bitcoin’s purpose, however, is largely different. It serves as a decentralized store of value — a peer-to-peer digital currency, used for financial transactions. It eliminates the need for third parties in payment technology.
