Will Ethereum do better than bitcoin this year??

Well, it seems almost all the top 100 coins on the coinmarketcap experience both the bear and bull markets together. Whenever there is a dip in Bitcoin, Ethereum follows, hence, showing no potential of surpassing Bitcoin. Ethereum is doing well but i think it still deserves the second position for some time because the difference in their market volume is huge.
Now, Bitcoin has approximately $4.6 billion whereas Ethereum has $1.9 billion.

Ethereum will definitely do better this year and that was given because ethereum was strongly proven in crypto as one of the main coins.

Surely, etherium will rise like a shining star this year and it would rise better than the bitcoin. This rising of etherium will surely unstoppable as what we can see in the market.

This year seems to be a year anticipated for so many things in the world of cryptos. so many are calling for the green days of bitcoin in the upcoming months. Well ethereum as the first altcoin is doing great generally with an increase in decentralization and popularity. Ethereum is being used by almost everybody in the cryptoworld and this has helped in its popularity but one thing is that ethereum always since inception has been under the supremacy of bitcoin and so i don't see how ethereum is going to do better than bitcoin in the upcoming months or years. BTC still rules.

However, studying the market trend,  it could be seen that all altcoins, Ethereum inclusive, values are influenced by bitcoin value such that as bitcoin falls, they all fall. I really do believe in ETH but to extend of doing better than btc I doubt. It can do better than all other altcoins and that's how I see it but doing better than btc I think it cant.

I really hope it will do better. I see potential in Ethereum and can't understand why is it still so much dependant on bitcoin ? Really strange.

I am hoping for this but the fact that eth is still affectted by bitcoin domain, I do not think eth can do better this year.

ETH is has been struggling this year in terms of making it better for its Holders. Nonetheless, it has never tried taking over its mother coin. Taking into consideration ETH price for this year, I think ETH cannot do better than bitcoin.

This year indeed etherium shows a pretty good progress, his recovery and maintain price stability are pretty good so far. etherium is also more and more entangled in the ICO, which make it more popular.  for bitcoin can replace it I think is very difficult, not yet able to compete for the only etherium to replace.

It could be said yes, it could also be said no. Yes because of the etherium able to recover quickly when falling. While the bitcoin will still give influence on the other each coin she faltered, here's why as good as the good achievement of ETH, a bitcoin nonetheless will be in control.

 Bitcoin is a leading cryptocurrency in the world right now, so all altcoins follow it. It time I think this connection will fade. Ethereum will be the first to break that connection.

Ethereum is doing well, no doubt about that. But I dont think it will do better than bitcoin because its prices goes in line with bitcoin such that when bitcoin rises, it rises too and wen it falls, it also falls.

its depending on the situation because you know that the volatility of two are not the same but I think much better now is eth because its also gaining more investors time by time.
