Bitcoin is Bitcoin. All cryptocurrency apart from Bitcoin is Altcoin (Alternate Cryptocurrency to Bitcoin). We cant generalize a difference between them. It's just that "anything other than Bitcoin is Altcoin".
Which has a higher value? A simple look at Market capitalization clearly shows that Bitcoin dominates (42% of the total marketcap) the crypto space as of now. To ease things, BTC is trading around $6-7k, while hardly a few altcoins have crossed the $500 mark.

Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency, it's also the most widely known one as well.  On top of that, it is the highest market cap value cryptocurrency, by a fairly large margin.   Altcoins are every single other coin that is not bitcoin, and there are a lot of them.  Some are great, some not so great, some complete scams.  See Coinmarketcap.com and check the top coins, most if not all of them are good projects with a future.

Explained differently.. bitcoin is the altcoin market's currency as in USD/fiat for entry into the exchanges... besides its store of value, bitcoin's biggest use case is a liaison between cash and alt coins on exchanges... this is why altcoins die with bitcoins... if stocks are to accumulate value and the value they accumulate is lower, the stocks have to lower in value as well.

Bitcoin is surely different from Altcoin. Bitcoin has it value and it is much more stable then altcoins. By the way, bitcoin is more known by the people but not altcoins. But, I have a friends that doesn't know about bitcoin either, don't you think it is funny when everyone know about bitcoin include aunty but except for my friend?

if you are asking for the overall market of all altcoins of course it will be the altcoins market but if one it is the market of each altcoin, bitcoin will always the top one and will always be the only crypto that can influence the market health.

Bitcoin is like the main of crypto and altcoins is like the sub coin of crypto. Most probably bitcoin will have a higher value in average but altcoins give the investors a chance to flip their investment many folds.
